Mel Pine - Allstate Insurance Agent

I went to Allstate when I was searching for new insurance several years ago.  Mel Pine and his agency provided me with quotes on auto and home insurance, as well as life insurance.  The auto and home insurance quotes, combined, were comparable in price with my current insurer, and his agency has offered much more personal service.  (I did not buy the life insurance.) I was able to take care of all the details on-line or over the phone, and when it was necessary to meet in person to review the life insurance quote, his agent met me at a location that was convenient for me. With Allstate, I am able to submit claims and perform basic service on my account (make payments, add/remove vehicles, etc) online at my convenience, and then the agent always follows up with me to make sure I was able to take care of things to my satisfaction, or to take care of further details if needed. I also really like that every time my home and/or auto insurance is up for renewal, I get a survey and a phone call or e-mail to make sure that my insurance needs haven't changed. Allstate also has several payment options. I can pay the complete 6-month bill upfront, or divide it into monthly payments, which can either be schedule manually or take care of automatically by direct debit or credit card.
