I had wanted to get rid of these trees for years.  Large limbs falling off during storms motivated me to take action.  I checked reviews and Tarzan had nothing lower than a B rating.  The initial visit was very professional and informative.  The estimate was outstanding and I immediately hired Tarzan tree services.  Work showed up when promised and all work was done excellently.

This is the 4th time I've used Tarzan Tree in the last 4 years all because the owner, Alex, is an thoroughly honest businessman.  
He and his business partner, Rob, are the epitomes of professionalism and trustworthiness.  I cannot say enough great things about this company!  Alex gives fair estimates and ensures that the job is fully completed to the customer's satisfaction. The entire Tarzan crew is hardworking, careful and professional.  They leave the yard better than how it looked when they arrived and they clear debris fully.  
I trust this crew so much that I actually left the premises for many hours so as not to get in the way of the crane and dangerous pines. After a storm had knocked a pine onto the corner of our house 4 years ago (which Tarzan removed for us) I didn't want to be anywhere near while the crane was removing the very huge pines.  When I returned for the last part of the job I was so happy to see how careful Tarzan was with the driveway and grass.  
This team is truly remarkable!  Thanks so much Tarzan, you're the best!

From the moment that they noiselessly arrived with trucks and equipment to their quiet departure, Tarzan was very professional, efficient, personable, and extremely respectful of my property and landscaping. The crew's leader effectively communicated the job to his team, and any questions/suggestions were immediately brought to the homeowner's attention and resolved. I had specifically stated in the contract not to drop the dead gum tree, and the crew diligently roped each piece and caught it before it dropped.  Scheduling of the job was as promised. My neighbors were also impressed with this tree service. This is the first time that I used Tarzan which I found on Angie's List.  I would definitely recommend and use Tarzan Tree Service again.

Alex arrived, gave me a quote, his crew arrived on time, very polite. Inside of three hours, the work was done and all debris was hauled away. These guys were great, would use them again in aheartbeat.

We had Tarzan Tree Service remove two large cedar trees (bushes?) and a couple of young (small) trees.  They were professional, prompt, and did an excellent job.  We couldn't be happier.  We will use them again and we will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Excellent job by all crew members. They run a tight ship and each crew member knew their job and performed it well. The cleaned up dead and low hanging branches all around 2 trees. All debris was cleaned up. Very happy.

The crew arrived at 10 a.m. and began working immediately.  Thirteen trees (ornamental type,but several were at least 15 feet or so high).  As the trees came down,someone was there to take the limbs off.  Then someone took them to a "chipper" and ground them up.
It was like an assembly line operation. 
By noon, the guys were nearly finished.  They even removed the larger pieces of the one I had to try and cut up.  All areas cleaned up no debris left around - actually a neighbor came by and could not tell anyone had cut the trees down other than they were gone.
It is just great that I do not have to worry about a windstorm knocking them over any more. 
I have large pine trees and a large wild magnolia that I am going to have Tarzan come out in the fall to remove some large dead limbs.  If the wind blows the limbs down before then, I'll just have them out to take care of them at that point.
AND it feels great to have a veteran owned business perform work for me.  I was raised in a Navy family, my husband was a Navy veteran.  That is a real bonus.

Co-Owner visited site and gave written estimate which he then discounted due to Angie's List referral.  C0-Owner stated that no job was too small and he believed in taking care of his customers.  The work crew arrived at the appointed time and was led by a second co-owner.  The job was done properly and took one hour from start to finish.  The crew was professional and polite.  I could not have asked for better service.  Hiring Tarzan Tree Service was a smart use of money and a definite time saver.  I would use this company again without hesitation.

Filled out their online form and at first, didn't hear anything back. So I called to get an estimate and we agreed on noon Monday (June 23). Alex called about 11:50 and said he had just left a previous job and would be there about 12:05. He gave me an estimate of $750 and said they could do it the next day (the 24th). Also said the price was negotiable, so we got down to $650. I waited on a couple other estimates, but for Company A, the person who does the estimates went home sick and Company B emailed me, said they'd drop by to take a look, then email a proposal. They didn't -- at least that day by 5 p.m. So I called Alex and told them I'd hire them for the $650 because I wanted to get the work done sooner, rather than later. When I got home from work that night (I work nights), there was an estimate attached to my door from Company B for $500. 
Anyway, Alex had said they'd come by in the afternoon. Since he was courteous in calling to tell me he'd be five minutes late for the estimate, I figured they'd call me and tell me they were on their way. They didn't. Not a huge deal, but I would've liked to know when they're coming. Got there between 3 and 3:30 p.m. So they spent the next 1 1/2 to 2 hours tearing down the tree, grinding the stump and hauling all the debris away. Did a real fine job -- no real complaints. They even made sure not to harm my Japanese Maple that was a few feet from the Bradford pear. 
Turns out, they were a little more expensive than I could've had, and didn't call to tell me when they were coming or were on their way. Other than that, I didn't have any complaints. The guy in charge (it wasn't Alex this time) even made a couple suggestions as to what to plant in place of the Bradford so I could get some of my shade and privacy back.

Tarzan tree service is AMAZING! A six man crew arrived 45 minutes early, beginning work immediately. They ensured all decorative yard displays were moved to a safe location before any cutting was done. Nothing was damaged including ground plants, other trees and a nearby newly installed wooden fence. The entire crew is respectful of our property. They function as a "well oiled machine". Branches and tree trunk sections were immediately picked up in a non stop clean up operation. They were mindful not to allow debris to fall into the neighbors yard. The crew cleaned up so well that you would never know they had been here except for the FANTASTIC RESULTS! The entire job took just over an hour! These guys don't mess around. Very professional and courteous. They kept busy, with task at hand, but took time to answer questions. We can't recommend Tarzan Tree Service highly enough and intend to use their service again. We have already told several neighbors, and our daughter, about this wonderful company. The Angie List rating system doesn't go high enough, in this instance. A+++

Large hardwoods on 6 degree + slope w/ very heavy limbs overhanging neighboring property and shrubs - difficult job. Crew did thorough work with minimal adverse impact on lawn or shrubs.

Our neighbors had used Tarzan and were happy with the service that they received.

We requested quotes for five items, primarily tree removal with stump grinding.  Total came to $3550 less 10% winter discount.  Estimate was thorough, but we went with a contractor who quoted $825 for the three items completed vs. Tarzan's $1305 total for those same three items. 

They nos showed first appointment at our house for an estimate.  We left multiple messages.  They did not call back  Went with another service.
