Our house is only 15 years old, but the original heating/AC installation was so flawed that we had frozen AC pipes and water leaks for the last 6 years. We didn't have money to replace the system, so Stone Cold made excellent repairs that prolonged the system's life until we could afford it. Stone Cold installed our new American Standard system which is highly rated for reliability and 15% more efficient than our old units. Stone Cold installs for all the major manufacturers, so we chose this one. The outside AC units, a 2-ton unit and a 3-ton unit, are enormous. The furnace units had to be installed through a trap door into the (3rd floor) attic and were large enough to need the molding removed. A crew of 3 spent 4 days on the job. They worked hard, took very few breaks, tried to be unobtrusive, and we were without AC for only one night. They were completely well-spoken, polite and respectful, carefully asking permission and expressing gratitude for the smallest accommodations. They cleaned up nicely when finished and removed all packing materials--and there were A LOT. Most importantly, the job did run over-long but only because Ace, one of the co-owners, was determined to get it done perfectly and resolve every existing problem we had. He spent extra time replacing duct work that was not immediately visible but was contributing to our problems and returned an extra day to calibrate the units rather than do a poor job when he was tired at the end of the day. I'll admit, we had a sticker shock when we got the estimate for the work, but now we understand why it cost what it did. The number of small parts and materials in addition to the big units plus the painstaking manual labor to install this stuff is amazing. This company is honest, thorough, and hard-working, and they will always have my business. I know from past experience that they do repairs pretty fast . If you need a major installation like this one, try to do it in the off season, early spring or late fall, to get the job done quickly. This is a small company that doesn't have an army of technicians

A clog in the (overflow?) drain line was quickly discovered & unclogged. It was a swift response with minimal cost over the service visit.
