Just look the other way now. Mike “the doctor” conned my mom out of her money just to leave her blocked on his phone and the job half finished. Talk about a stand up guy. Total @sshole from all angles. We sat down with him, he wrote up her plan, gave her a quote on looseleaf paper (spare me, I know we should have demanded an actual invoice in retrospect), so she gave him her money. Among other annoyances, he completed part of her flooring job but left the master closet a MESS. He had his crew pull up her old floors and just left them like that. Never installed the new flooring. Then, when we tried to get in contact- he blocked her phone number. Such a POS. Mike, if you’re reading this, give her a call back, won’t ya? Though I’m sure you have so many similar situations, you probably lose track of who you’re screwing.

Since I can't leave a review on the actual page itself I will be sharing this in as many groups and pages I can. I do NOT recommend Mike the "Floor Doctor" to anyone because he does not stand by his work. We got our floors done last year when we bought the house and shortly after we noticed that there was a board by the front door that was messed up. There is a nail or something under the board that has caused it to crack and it is only getting worse. I called, and texted Mike many times and each time he kept saying he was going to come by to fix it, then holidays came and he had to order a box in and said he would call when it came in. After the first of the year I constantly called and texted and he kept telling me he was going to come by and fix it, we are in MARCH now and for the past 2 weekends he has said he will come by Saturday morning at 9am. Here we are again and he has still not shown up. Super unprofessional. We love our floors, but I wouldn't ever hire Mike again. Too much of a headache.

Paul worked us into his schedule and coordinated with other contractors to make sure everything would mesh.  The existing tile removal was a huge job.  Paul worked endlessly to make it perfect for the new floor.  Our kitchen is curved and has several pillars that require perfect cuts and difficult edge work.  Paul really takes care of our home.  I watched him carefully vacuum the edges of the floor prior to putting in quarter round.  He did not know I was watching.  When I asked him, he said could leave construction debris even though no one else would know.  Paul really takes the quality of his work seriously.  He is completely meticulous and incredibly knowledgeable about flooring.  My real experience is with his wood floor work and it makes our home fabulous.  We cannot recommend Paul enough.  
 Paul removed the stairs and landing and installed Tigerwood stairs.  He had to make slight changes to make sure that it was to code since we were going from carpeted stairs to hardwood.  They are beautiful and perfect.

In our first meeting with Paul and our general contractor, we asked Paul his opinion about how to correct a problem related to the subfloor underneath the soon-to-be installed engineered flooring.  He educated us and gave his honest opinion about how best to solve the problem, even though it may not have been what the general contractor wanted to hear.  We respected Paul's honesty and his confidence in what needed to be done before installing the flooring. 
From the time Paul started the flooring, it was very evident he took pride in his work.  He didn't rush the job, he took care to do everything in its proper sequence. He took care to lay out the flooring to inspect before installing, he was very detailed-oriented and always cleaned up each day after work was completed.  There are no gaps in the flooring, the trim & moulding is perfect and we couldn't be happier with our floor.  The finished product is amazing!!
