The whole thing has been a disaster. I paid to have this fan installed but I fear I am going to have to hire a real electrical contractor to come to my house and fix it. When I first called this company, the person who answered the phone gave me the impression she was going to do me a big favor by sending someone to PORTSMOUTH to do a job. That should have been a tip off. If I had known this company was located in Virginia Beach, I would never have done business with them in the first place. Neither their website nor their business cards indicate where they are located. I had to call their office and ask for an address.
Description of Work: I called this company in hopes of getting a ceiling fan repaired. The technician said it could not be repaired and must be replaced. I asked for assistance picking a new fan and was told "any fan will do, I can install anything." I purchased a fan and scheduled another day off to have it installed. It is a remote-controlled fan. I have two others in rooms near this one. The technician could not make this fan turn on without turning on one of the other fans. After a considerable time, he seemed to have adjusted the fan so turning it on did not turn on another fan. Shortly after he left, I discovered the fan turned itself on and off randomly. I called to schedule a time when a technician could come out to repair it. I was given a time but, shortly before the day scheduled, their office called and told me the technician had a "family emergency" and could not make the appointment. (I assume that meant they only had ONE technician who could be scheduled.) They said they would call me back when this one technician was available. No one called for several weeks. I called back. I was told that the technician had been to my house but no one was home. I said I had not been told he was coming. The woman on the phone became very snippy and said, "Mam! I am the one who told you!" She did not but I did not want to argue. They were unable to set up another appointment for several more weeks. The appointment was set for 1:00 on June 26. No one came. I called back at 1:30. I was told "We always schedule appointments with a two hour window. Someone will be there by 3:00." This was very inconvenient as I had a 4:00 appointment -- which would have been plenty of time IF the technician had arrived at 1:00. The time is now 3:00 and the technician has not yet arrived. My fan is still turning itself on and off at will.
