The people were very socialble and worked non stop. They had the roof on by the afternoon and I was so happy. My home looks wonderful with it's new roof

It went really well! The team was very accommodating to our needs. We rent our place and do not live nearby, so they worked with our tenant to do the initial estimate and replace the windows. They replaced the old wooden frames of the windows which were causing water intrusion into the house. Our only concern was how long it took to deliver the windows, as they were not in stock. Everything else went well. They were even understanding on two separate payment types, and called me when one payment did not go through. They were very nice and reasonable. We would totally use them again!

Excellent! This is the second time we have used Custom Home Improvements (2 years ago they re-did our roof and sky lights). We will continue to use them. The staff is awesome. They send someone out for an estimate, and have very good prices. Next, you get in touch with someone in finance, and then the person who will install. They always are on time, and clean up after themselves. Love this crew, and I would (and have) recommend to anyone who is looking for this type of work!

Well they first started by doing the roof. I took several pictures and watched as the crew worked very well together. I was expecting to see a bunch of trash all over the lawn and in the driveway but they took off all the shingles and cleaned up all of what had dropped. The final product was to my amazement nothing like what I expected. No one in my neighborhood had a roof that looked like mine. My wife and I were extremely happy with the install and full clean up. Then they came a few weeks later and installed our new windows and doors. The work was very precise. I am very particular about my house and caulking. The caulk was very clean and almost un noticeable. The nails were few and the guys were really helpful when explaining what they were doing and how to take care of the windows. My overall view of the company does not even come close to how great of a job they really did. Thanks guys, I will be using you again for my siding project.

I never received any contact from them and couldn't get a hold of them to set an appointment.

Our sales rep was Keith, very professional, retired Navy. He explained all options available, awesome. Then we were contacted by the owner, thanking us and letting us know financing was all set. Lots of communication with these guys! Few days later, the scheduler called, to set up the installation. Chad and his crew were FANTASTIC!!! Answered any and all questions, very professional and quick. 3 hours to install everything! The care they took with cleaning up was amazing. I would highly recommend to my closet friends/family. Thanks guys!!

I can not express how happy my husband and I are with our new windows and our overall experience with Custom Home Improvements!! From our initial meeting with the gentleman that knocked our door, to the pleasantness and professionalism of the salesman, and to the installation crew of our new windows, we could not be happier! Our old wood windows and high electrical bills are gone and have been replaced by our new (much easier to operate and clean) beautiful new windows and lower electric bills. I can not express how pleased we are!! This company is highly professional and I have already recommended them to my friends and family. We had 5 other quotes and not one came close to their quality, or price. If you want it done right - CALL THEM. Sincerely, One VERY happy customer!!

After getting two other quotes from the trade show and facing high pressure from those companies, we were very hesitant to get a third quote. Luckily, we did! Karen was very professional and courteous at all times and never pressured us! In fact, we felt so comfortable with her that we decided to invite her to dinner after we were finished getting our quotes! She inspected our property by pointing out areas of concern, showed us the products Custom Home Improvements offers, and gave us excellent discounts for advertising and for military! The crews were also very accomodating with my pets and did outstanding work. The cleanup was very impressive and we very much appreciated that with our children and pets! The roof is gorgeous and we love the Mission Brown color! As for the windows, how nice it is to see clearly outside without the fogged up windows and I already noticed a reduction of outside noise! It is too soon to see the energy savings yet but everything else Karen told us this company has backed it up so I have no reason to doubt the lower energy bills we were promised to see with the new Energy Star windows. We are so pleased with the entire experience of Karen and Custom Home Improvements that we have already referred two neighbors and a relative to the company and our neighbor is getting a roof installed next week plus we got a $100 gift card! This is the way business should be, we highly recommend Custom Home Improvements!

I’ve been in the house for 16 years and the shingles had worn out. They completed the job in one day! They came here at 7 in the morning and they were done by 4 in the afternoon. It was amazing what they did! I have alternating pitches and valleys on my roof and garage and it’s very steep. It was a good sized job for them. They had a little magnetic tool on wheels that they run around the yard with that picks up the nails. I haven’t found a single nail in the yard since! They were really, really good! After the project was done, I didn’t really get a follow-up check by the guy that sold me the product, which kind of disappointed me, but everything else was wonderful!

They were complete and thorough. They were very professional. They were willing to accommodate on how I wanted to precede and how I wanted the job done.

I had a big heavy awning removed and that left 2 areas that needed attention. They inspected the area and corrected the problems. They are very good and I am having them coming back to do more work. They know what they are doing and do it quickly and professionally.

Wow is all I can say! They contacted me several times to make an appointment, to confirm the appointment and because I had to reschedule. Great customer service to begin with. On the day of the appointment, I received a confirmation call as well. They arrived on time, in very professional clothes, and completed the job, with written documentation for me. Very impressive!

I have tried to contact this provider on two occasions. The telephone is answered by a recording, requiring one to push buttons to make selections to try to leave a message or speak to someone. To date I have not received a call back with regard to either message. I have already received a quote to perform the work I need to have done, in the amount of $12,000.00 so this is not a minor job. I have conveyed to Custom Home Improvement this fact but that has not elicted any response. Short of writing them a letter, I have no idea how to get this company to respond.

The gentlemen arrived 30 minutes early and that was fine. They fiixed my back gate, attic door, back screen door, tighrnrd my toilet seat and fixed a latch on my kitchen cabinet.

Good, just they wanted too much extra money for the job.

The estimator was on time and very professional. He measured the area and put together the estimate. This was my fourth and final estimate for the project. The three previous estimates were in the range of $5700-6700. They quoted me $11280. Their estimate included top grade "Deck Armor" underlayment and GAF Timber Tex Ridge Cap that were not in other estimate. The other estimate included "Tiger Paw" underlayment and GAF Seal-a-Ridge Caps. The other estimate also included higher grade pipe collars and sanding and painting the chimney cap. I am not sure that they understand the market or their customers. Given this level of estimate, I will not be calling them on any future projects.

Repairs were completed to my satisfaction.

It was a horrible experience. This company almost made me cancel my Angie's List membership. Their representative basically showed up and asked me if I intended to stay and live in my home and if so than this "Big Deal" was not for me. It is intended for customers that want to sell their home or do not care that they have an "inferior" product for a roof. (The product was from a company that they bought-out and they were just trying to get rid of it. They said that they use Angie's List to "Get-Their-Name-Out -There" for advertising. At this point I was thinking that I just needed a refund. But I allowed he to continue to show me the differences in product and cost. He of course was showing me the improved product and that the product I ordered would "Blow up-and-down) with the wind and get the Felt paper wet and the wood base after a few years. He stated that the Big Deal only included a warranty on shingles and that it would cost me to repair it in the future. (I told him that the Big Deal states that there is a lifetime warranty on shingles and 10 yr warranty on Labor...he didn't know that. He stated that this "Product" in the Big Deal will cost me extra (Approx $3,000 more); so he thought that I would be better served if I purchased their BETTER roof (GAF) which could cost me just under $10K (vs the $6999+ I would be paying for the Angie's Big Deal). He never measured my roof and just assumed a larger size was needed than what is covered in the Big Deal. I understand that he may have experience in "estimating" roof sizes, but he could have at least measured the roof before he stated how much more materials I would need to purchase. The representative was condescending and he stated several times that he was there to "teach" me what kind of product I may need. I do not feel comfortable working with this company that basically uses a Bait-and-switch to get customers to spend more money on a product. I also do not like to be talked to like I am a CHILD that needs a lesson.

Originally, I was turned off by the gentleman who came out to do the estimates for a new roof. He was very pushy in making the sale the same day, not to mention the price he quoted almost doubled the price they advertised. Upon review, one of the owners contacted me about the incident, apologized for what happened and exhibited a high level of customer excellence that I have ever experienced. It is evident that Tim is passionate about his company, his staff and the customers' satisfaction in the operation of his company. What a great example to show that we all make mistakes but the lesson is what we can do to ratify the situation and turn it around.
