W C Butler Heating & Air

The crew ( 4 of them ) arrived on time.
They were very conscientious to insure to not damage the carpet, flooring and fireplace hearth, They all put on booties and covered all with plastic and tarps. You know how nasty fireplace/chimney soot is.
All  was completed in a very professional and courteous fashion.
They were in and out in 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Jeremy and his crew were easy to work with and it was obvious they took pride in their work.
The whole process from the initial contact with Joe Greer to the work completion went smooth.
I would not hesitate to use them again and I give them a high recommendation.

The service man was very, very nice and did something that some people wouldn’t do. He leveled out my air conditioner outside so that was really nice. I signed a contract with him.

I called WC Butler (got from Angie's List) to give me an evaluation on my air conditioning system.  The system was charged with refrigerant last spring by another provider who never returned to do a follow up check on the system.  The Butler serviceman found that the system was completely out of Freon.  Since the system was 30 years old, we both agreed that it needed replacing.  The tech also suggested that I replace the furnace since it was also old and not burning efficiently.  This call was $80.00.

I then made arrangements with Butler for an estimate n replacing the system.  I also called two other Angie's List providers for estimates.  Joe Greer from Butler called the next morning and set up a time of 1 PM that afternoon.  He arrived early, which is always a good sign.  He reexamined the system and was able to give me four options on the spot.  I waited until I got the other two estimates before awarding the job to Butler.  Their price was way better than the other two for comparable units.  I asked Joe to add more details to the agreement, so he wrote up one and delivered to me for signature, again he arrived early.  He was able to schedule the installation 14 days later.  They also gave me an Angie's List member discount.

The installation went extremely well.  Wayne and Josh arrived at 7:15 AM for a 7:30 AM appointment.  They went right to work removing the old equipment.  They worked non-stop until the job was completed, about 3 PM.  We reviewed their work and everything seemed to be satisfactory.  They cleaned up the work area, and except for the new equipment, you wouldn't even know they were there.

This is the second complete HVAC Upgrade job for me at two different locations by Butler in the last 12 months and this went every bit as well as the last one. Roger Jones was thorough and exacting in his review of the premises and the needs of the job as I needed a new return installed downstairs. He made recommendations for the highest efficiency furnaces that could use the existing PVC venting and high efficiency outdoor units, which is exactly what I wanted. Roger is extremely thorough and knowledgeable and the pricing by Butler was also very competitive and complete with details. It wasn't the norm of somebody coming out an looking at your units for exact replacement and sending you a quote on a piece of paper that explained little of what they were going to do.

The Team that came to remove my existing system and replace it with the new Heil High Efficiency Units were Wayne Lloyd and an Apprentice named Josh. I have high expectations and was immediately very pleased. This team was very thorough, worked well together and I could see that the Apprentice training by Wayne, the Master HVAC Technician was done very well. This team was punctual, friendly, thorough, neat, cleaned up after themselves and were productive and efficient. What pleased me the most is that they took the time to do it 100% right, took no shortcuts an the detailed and NEAT work that they did was remarkable. I was present the entire two + days that they worked this job. It was obvious that they took pride in their work and did an absolute wonderful job that exceeded my high expectations, which is RARE!  The Other Butler Techs and delivery people whom I came in contact with were also EXCELLENT. I can't find enough superlatives to describe Wayne Lloyd, the Master HVAC Tech.....he is the model of what EVERY HVAC Tech should be. The head of the Replacement Systems Group, Jimmy Eaton was also very helpful in answering my questions along the way and checking in with his people.

As my last review stated  I am 100% satisfied with their service and my interaction with this Company. I will use them again and I would Highly recommend Butler.

They came out and fixed it rather quickly with no problems.

They did a great job.  I would recommend them.

Brought W.C. butler in to finish what another guy had started and wasn't able to figure out.  Called late that morning and the lady was very nice and explained she would have someone out that afternoon.  Mike the technician called and gave a time he would be there.  This was a rental property with a crawl space so it wasn't necessary for me to be there.  He fixed a mistake the prior repairman had made, found and fixed the problem.  Apparently a circuit board that had been replaced wasn't wired correctly and the igniter had to be replaced.
Professional, prompt and knowledgeable, you can;t ask for much more than that.

When we realized we needed to do all the above-listed work, we met with 7 or 8 contractors to get estimates because we wanted the work to be done really well.  Butler was not the cheapest bid that we got, BUT we did feel like we got a lot more for our money. For example, they ended up replacing some of the flex-ductwork with hardline to make the system more efficient.  They also spent a lot of time answering our questions, came out to our house promptly when we had any concerns, and they did the work around our schedule (they arrived by 6:30 every morning so we could get to work on time).  The system has been working great and the air quality and smell in the house has been greatly improved.

My daughter's gas furnace quit working on Wednesday afternoon. I called Butler at 6:30 AM on Thursday morning and Chet Butler answered the phone. He had Terry call me about 7:20 am to schedule the appointment for the Service Technician. They were on time and did good work.

This was the most Polite, Punctual, Clean, and very Experienced company that I have ever met. The job they took on was a three day job. We have a two story home. We had them install two high efficiency units. Both are A/C two-stage compressor heat pumps with variable speed air handlers and two new programmable thermostats.  Both units also received new larger unit pads with snow legs. Because of the difference in size lines between the old units and the new ones they installed new duct work and refrigerant lines for both floors. I had three companies I interviewed and H.C. Butler was the only one that I felt comfortable with and the only company that would help us achieve what we wanted in a new system.
I cannot compliment this company enough. I based my first impression on the reviews they have received through Angie's List. Come to find out their reputation is phenomenal.  The moment their Sales Personnel came out I knew I wanted them to perform the work. I have been so very pleased. The units are remarkable and the guys really had a huge undertaking in our home to install these units. And they have been installed correctly! Something we all worry about dealing with a job this large and a pay out this huge. They needed to go through dry wall with these new lines so you know what that involved.  On the third day my home was vacuumed and everything was picked up. You would never know they were here and did all that they accomplished.
As far as the price goes, I cannot comment. We wanted the top of the line units and feel they were fair in quoting. And after we saw what they accomplished and the efficiency in the units, we are very pleased.
If you need any A/C work, I would highly recommend you call W.C. Butler. You will not be disappointed! 

I was so impressed we signed up for a service plan 2 times a year for AC and heat.  Our air conditioner is working better than it ever had.

This was not an e-z job. We have a finished basement. John (Butler's licensed gas fittter) snaked the line thru a  large channel in the ceiling that contained all utility and equipment lines (HVAC, Vacuum, electrical). Then up to the kitchen and kept the gas line and valve as close as posible to the wall to prevent the range from pertruding out from the counter tops and cabinets.

Could not have been better. Smart, professional men who did everything satisfactorily. On price, the B is just a gut feeling because I have no idea what this job should cost. I was just pleased for the immediate response and good job.

From the beginning it couldn't have gone any better. I had 8 companies give me a quote and I am very knowledgeable regarding HVAC, so I could understand what I wanted and ask intelligent questions. Butler's estimator was Roger Jones, a Master HVAC, a Master Plumber, and a Master Electrician. He was a great communicator, personable, and very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and also made some very good additional suggestions. I made my decision based on two major factors, one being the expertise shown regarding the configuration that I wanted and secondly, their competitive price. As soon as I accepted their bid, Jimmy Means, the head of the Team that installs replacement systems came and did a thorough walkthrough and job analysis with Roger, the Estimator. I pushed my install date out a few months and they worked with me on this just wonderfully.

The Net-Out regarding my experience with Butler is that EVERY PERSON whom I came in contact with at Butler in ANY capacity was the very Best. Even though I do not  know, nor ever met the Owner, WC Butler, it is clear to me that he sets the high standards for the company and its people and that exhibits very positive leadership.



My system has been working flawlessly and wonderfully since the installation. The install team came back at my request and made some small modifications on the ducting that improved the air flow. They are very responsive and customer service oriented. I would recommend Butler to ANYONE who is considering adding a new HVAC system or replacing an existing one!

Very unhappy experience with W.C. Butler. Called during the Spring and was told it was too cold to check my non-functioning A/C, so I called back later on a warmer day and was told the man would come out and check it. Waited all day and called them twice to confirm he was coming out when finally at the end of the day, "Don" called me and told me in no uncertain terms that my A/C was evidently a "leaker" and that it would need work and that I should call back at another time so I complied. I waited until I saw that it was going to become very warm and called them a week before to have "Don" come out April 11 "mid-morning" as I was told. On the day "Don" was to arrive, it was 80 degrees by "mid-morning" so I called them and was told he was on the way. At noon, when it hit 85 degrees, I called again about my "mid-morning" appointment, and was told I was "on Don's schedule". Finally, at 2:30, when the temperature at 90, I called Woods Heating and Air Conditioning and they were there an hour later, fixed it and were very nice to deal with. My intentions were to have Butler replace my entire system if my A/C was worn out, but because of my experience with them, I have contracted another company to perform over $8,000 in a replacement system. Too bad.

I selected Butler after hearing 2-3 estimates from other companies....theirs was in the middle range.  They installed the boiler and completed all work in about a day and a half.  Everyone was very pleasant and friendly, and the new boiler is a vast improvement over my old - and I mean OLD - one.   One disappointment:  shortly after the installation the ancient radiator in my attic began leaking, and I had to cut out and remove the carpeting around it, which fortunately was also ancient.  They did come quickly to address the issue, though.  In addition my basement floor ended up black with dirt, including outside the furnace room proper, as evidently they did not put down protective covering.
