Scandia World Travel is the best! Taina and Sari took care of all the details for my Cambodia/Vietnam trip. They made my vacation perfect!

Scandia Travel and Taina were great to work with in planning my trip to Germany to join several Euro games in July 2024. Stub Hub was an absolute nightmare to deal with regarding game tickets so it was a welcome relief to have airport transport, hotels, and trains between cities taken care of. They were so flexible when we had our son join us in the first city (last minute) and we needed to change hotels to accommodate three adults. They charged a modest flat fee for all their service and it covered all their research and bookings. I really liked them giving me several options of in a city and getting to make my selection. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

My wife and I are going on what we hope is a wonderful trip to Scandinavia in September 2018. I was able to do almost all booking myself online. However, we wanted to modify the famous Norway in a Nutshell trip from Oslo to Bergan. The web site gives the name of a few travel agents around the world. I contacted Scandia World Travel, Inc., located in DC. I am in the Chicago area. My experience was outstanding. What we had wanted to do was a little complicated and Taina at the Agency was able to get it all done and vouchers sent to us overnight. We leave in a couple of weeks so time was short. I regret not knowing of them earlier or I would have used them to book our flights as well. Super nice people work there and very professional.

It was fabulous. We've taken two trips arranged by Scandia and we've loved them both. Highly recommend!

We wanted a "once in a lifetime" experience visiting Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and France. We had very demanding requirements regarding the accommodations as my wife has claustrophobia. We also wanted centralized locations, so we could walk to the major attractions and to take the train as much as possible between the cities. We contacted Taina at Scandia Travel and she immediately put our mind at ease. She and Sari assembled an itinerary that was within our budget along with various links to the hotels and the various attractions. We changed our mind on a few things that I'm sure drove Taina and Sari crazy, but they took it in stride. Since I always worry, I expected the hotels not being what they seemed or not having our reservations, bad seats on the train, closed attractions, etc. etc. etc. I needn't have worried at all. Everything was perfect. The trip lasted 26 days. Their meticulous attention to detail is what made this trip most memorable. You will not be disappointed using Scandia.

Great! Scandia Travel worked quickly to plan our trip. They got a great price on plane tickets and planned a great trip for us. We loved the accommodations and the travel plans.

You will think i work for them but i dont i assure you. I have traveled for business for 30 years and been taken care of by experienced travel people in the company as well as company hired agencies where not a detail is missed.  now its family vacations and i thought i was on my own, but not so.
My surprise experience was when i called the  800 number of Scandia travel the first time about 4:45 pm expecting to  establish contact and get a general sense of who i would be dealing with and to see the the depth of experience. I am traveling to Scandinavia and have some experience so i wanted someone who was more experienced.
The greeting was professional and personal at the same time with great exuberance to provide a service as well as guidance. Just really enthusiastic about what she  does. 
Not wanting to keep her much past closing time (i presumed 5 pm) i asked the best time to call and she said any time really 9-5 east coast time but if you call 7-8 am your time you can catch me early..WHAT where are you? --FINLAND now. So really Angie and friends Taina of  Scandia world answers the phone 9-5 east coast time no matter where she is.And she mails at all hours. The follow up is exciting.

Sari, at Scandia World Travel, was VERY responsive to my numerous questions, quickly and accurately booked our vacation, and was a joy to work with. When my Mom got sick on our cruise, Sari took over cancelling all our reservations and finding us a new hotel to meet our new time frames. I'd go back to her in a heart beat!!!

My aging mother decided she was going to take her three adult daughters on the Hurtigruten cruise out of Bergen, Norway. Not knowing where to begin she and another sister decided to drive to an agency they found on line. The address did not exist, but fortunately for us, across the street was Scandia World Travel - how lucky was that?!
And that's how it all began. Sari took the reigns and guided us through a complicated travel itinerary with no problem. Highly recommend this agency!!!

She was very good. She was able to help with the things I asked for, and she was also very good at finding things I needed. She was better with phone communication than email though. She was not as responsive to emails.
