Mottern Masonry did an excellent job enlarging a garage door opening, which required removing part of the original brick, and re-placing with new brick. The completed the job in a timely fashion, were professional, and washed and scrubbed it all down afterwards. Their work blends perfectly with the original adjacent pillars. Our go-to company for all things masonry from now on.

I have used Mottern Masonry and Design for 2 jobs now. First if all, mere words can’t do justice to the magnificence of this company. Let’s start with the owner Jeff. He always provides a very fair price that has always beaten out other estimates. Jeff is passionate and loves what he does. He is extremely knowledgeable about his business. By the way, his website is amazing and educational as well. His wife designed his website and her skill proves she has the talent to design websites professionally. Then There is Guy the business manager. Guy is pleasant professional and cordial and when you call he takes care of you like you are family. Next the 9 crews of masons, concrete workers and laborers are talented and have a skillset that will dazzle you with there artistry. They are professional, polite and basically work nonstop until the job is done and it is always done the right way. Mottern really won our business with their helpful design suggestions, and won the 5 stars by being there when they said they would, doing exactly what they said they would do, and keeping things clean and neat. The final product (our front walkway) shows artistry in concrete, with beautiful stamped stone finish and color. Jeff Mottern and Guy Ross were a pleasure to deal with, and the installation crew was polite, hard-working, and professional. This was a 100% experience for us.

Excellent. Six years ago, Mottern Masonry installed a beautiful stone patio. Over the years, some of the mortar deteriorated. After an initial misunderstanding, Jeff Mottern got personally involved and offered to have a crew do the repair work at no cost even though the warranty period had passed. Jose and his crew did the job with great care, matching two different colors of mortar as necessary. He made sure we were completely satisfied and cleaned up thoroughly. That's the second terrific experience we have had with Mottern Masonry. Jeff and his team are top notch.

My husband and I hired Mottern Masonary to install a patio behind our townhouse. After submitting my inquiry, Jeff was quick to return with a note to schedule the estimate. He also called to let me know he was on his way to our scheduled appointment time, which is always nice. I truly appreciated his knowledge! I let him know that I was leaning towards stamped concrete, but had also considered pavers. He was able to show me a ton of examples on his phone and let me know what patterns/colors go better with our brick house. He also provided suggestions to our tiered background. He took some measurements and was able to provide me with a quote within 5 minutes! Previously, I had two other companies come out and provide me with a quote. One company added on fees for the excavation, demo, bringing in trash bins, special drills to remove the contract, etc. The other representative was super sales-y and couldn't focus on my original request - a patio. Jeff was neither of these! He even offered to replant several of the bushes that were being removed. We moved forward with stamped concrete. The process went smoothly. We had a perforated drain pipe that Jose was quick to point out and reroute. They were also very diligent about cleaning up some concrete that had splattered in the driveway. My husband and I are very happy with how things turned out and have been enjoying our backyard patio! We would totally recommend Mottern Masonary and will look to utilize their services moving forward.

Mottern Masonry returned my call immediately. A very knowlegeable and seasoned professional came the next day to explain the scope of work necessary. The estimate was fair and the work was done within a few days. I was beyond satisfied with the personalities and workmanship of every Mottern Masonry employee. This is the second time I have used and reviewed Mottern Masonry in 7 years and I still stand by my “5 Star” rating. The first time I called Jeff was to replace both our ugly driveway and walkway concrete slabs with a nice brick herringbone pattern to match our existing front porch brick staircase. The result was beautiful and 7 years later everything still looks like brand new! My tenant who can be a little bit demanding and picky at times is also very pleased by the results and often gets compliments from neighbors and passersby. This time I called them to re-point our old existing front porch brick staircase and once again they did a very nice job. Each time has been a breeze to work with them. I have been posted overseas for the past 12 years and my house has been rented since then. Therefore, all my interactions with any contractor have to be exclusively either over the phone or by email/texts. Their professionalism made the experience stress-free for me. I mostly interacted with Guy at the office who is super responsive, courteous, and accommodating. And it literally took only a week from my initial phone call to the completion of the project. No grass growing under their feet!

Simply outstanding work. Many other people in our neighborhood have also upgraded their cement slab walkways to brick, but none look as good as ours in terms of quality, design, and craftsmanship. The initial design meeting was great- we were offered several different options at varying prices with no pressure at all to pick a more expensive one. We decided on a herringbone pattern with flairs on each end- a bit more expensive than the other options, but we are glad we did. The before and after images speak for themselves. It's amazing how much curb appeal this upgrade adds. The Mottern crew really did everything right- from putting in a strong base with rebar below the bricks to matching the bricks to our home perfectly. They also meticulously repaired the damaged bricks on our stairs and over our garage. True craftsman, we could not be happier with the work Mottern did and highly recommend them.

Jeff came out and surveyed the job and gave me a quote that was in line or even slightly less than 2 other competitors. I selected Mottern Masonry because of Jeff's knowledge, experience and confidence. I was very happy with Carlos and his crew. Did an amazing job that I think will outlast the previous job.

We had visitors coming and wanted to get the work completed prior to their arrival. They not only completed the work when they said they would, they kept the scope of the work to what was needed and didn't try and upsell us to something we didn't need or want. We are very pleased with the results of all aspects of the job. We would certainly use them again if we had a need to do so.

Mottern Masonry is who we called as they replaced our front porch and walkway in 2014 and it has held up well. Jeff’s crew did the job in two days and did a great job on matching the brick and mortar to the existing chimney. They replaced the top three rows of the chimney and six rows of brick on the shoulder as shown. Put in a photo of our walk as well. Definitely worth the money. Have not had any rain in our fireplace since then.

Mottern Masonry was terrific start to finish. Jeff and his team helped us create a beautiful update to our home.
