Dover'S Tree Care

First thing in the morning arrival was to them 10:30 but they wouldn't show up until 1:30. They didn't show two days with very flimsy excuses but no call to notify us ahead of time. Despite many text messages, they have not finished the feed and spray of the trees and have not responded to the messages. Another arborist said they were wrong to use spikes instead of ropes to climb trees since those spike holes open the tree to bugs and disease. Jesse, the company rep, is a good BS-er but has poor managerial skills and terrible customer service skills. The workers were all very nice and worked hard but I would not recommend the company. They have no email or office to contact.

They got the tree down ok, but left the stump about 8" high and completely uneven. They delivered the mulch and dumped it on a flower bed. They were supposed to come back and level the stump but kept giving us excuses about the big saw being in the shop. They told us it would be fixed by Jan. 15, 2014 and I contacted them on that day but never received a reply, I finally talked to another tree guy working in a neighbor's yard and he leveled it for $40. They were also supposed to move the mulch pile to the back yard but never did that either and as a result a bush got damaged because I was not able to move the pile myself this spring due to shoulder surgery. The also left truck tire divots in the yard, left trash and cigarette butts in the yard, and trampled a shamrock garden. When we tried to contact them they either did not respond or when they did they were rude, a couple of times hanging up on us and finally the owner screamed at my wife on the phone. These people are rude, sloppy and unprofessional. Avoid this company like the plague.

First, they left their broken down truck in our front yard overnight, which I agreed to, knowing that they were coming back the next day.  It should have been a sign of what was to come. They said that the job would be finished the next day.  They also left their tools laying in the back yard that evening.  The next day was Labor Day and they claimed that they had forgot it was Labor Day and that they couldn't get the materials because the banks were closed.  The next day there was still no supplies because "the lumber yard was slow"
