Victory's origins date back to 1928 when our founders started Federal Storage Company of Washington, D.C. About 20 years later, in 1945, Victory Van Corporation was founded, and the two corporations, although independent, worked closely together until 1963 when Federal merged with another company. "Hi Member, I apologize for the delayed response, I had to pull and review your file from archives since your move was in 2014. I am sorry to hear that the move did not take place to your satisfaction. Looking over the notes in the file, when we checked in with you on load day; you confirmed the crew was doing a great job. Based on the file, it appears the crew was done loading by 7:00pm. Yes, that is a little later than expected, but we did complete the move out well before 10:00pm. You are correct in regards to the delivery being done over two days when it should have been one. This was an error on our end and a miscommunication with logistics on our end. We do strive to have ever move be as seamless as possible, at times mistakes can be made. The Big Deal that you purchased applied to local moves only, even though you were moving a short distance away, it is still considered as an interstate move which is priced differently. "Member, Thank you for the time to provide us feedback as well as allowing us to handle your recent relocation. I am glad we were able to service your move upon your request of a next day move. When I was speaking with you as well as our other contact I did go over how the big deal can be used. It could be used as 3 hours of labor plus the 1 hour of travel time (covered in the 4 hours of the big deal that you purchased) or you could use the full 4 hours of labor and pay for the additional hour of travel time. Once that was finalized we determined that you would pay for any difference in cash once the move was actually completed and you saw how much time the move took. The move took 4 hours of labor (which was the estimated time), leaving the travel time difference. When we were discussing payment we determined that all was well and you were happy with how well the crew did. We even took care of an extra stop as you were unable to find a company to pick-up the items you wanted to donate. I contacted 3 moving companies-United Van, Allied, and Mayflower. United put me off entirely-they didn't even want to do an estimate until mid January. Mayflower couldn't seem to understand my needs or have any suggestions about how to handle this complicated move. Allied Van Lines sent me Paul Skolaski of Victory Van Corporation. Our initial phone conversation was very helpful. Paul immediately grasped my needs and made several suggestions about how to handle 2 separate shipments. At the appointment for an estimate he came prepared with all the information I needed, including storage costs. He made accurate estimates for both shipments and gave me preparation tips. Since I was arranging the move but my parents in Ohio were paying, contracts had to be emailed to both of us, signed and returned. Both my father and I had trouble with our printers that day and Paul was patient throughout.
The boxes went one day and the furniture the next. Both crews were friendly and professional-hard workers who packed and loaded my possessions with care. They communicated well and understood my need to move my 15 year old dog around as they worked. I received calls from the move coordinator, Stephanie Hopkins, and from Paul Skolaski during both move days, as well as a followup call.
I was a military wife for 19 years and have had some really bad moves that lasted well into the night. I am disabled and quite frankly this move scared me. It shouldn't have-Victory Van had everything under control.

When loading items onto a truck it can get very hot, sometimes reaching over 130 degrees inside. I apologize that we did not make it back out to pick up the boxes but I am glad to hear you were able to recycle them. I am sorry to hear that you felt our communication was not as great as it should have been, given the circumstances of your shipment I am inclined to agree with you. Your shipment had what is called an overflow, where not everything fit on the truck that was assigned to haul. Since we did not plan for this, we had to send the small amount that could not fit via our express program. I would like to offer my apologies as your move coordinator because I was not aware of the overflow until the day before your driver arrived to deliver your shipment. Standard practice is for the driver to call the office and make customer service aware so we can explain to you the next steps. That did not happen on our end which started the miscommunication. When it was brought to my attention I took action right away and was able to let you know that your items would be leaving our office in the next day via a 3rd party carrier to get the remaining items to you as fast as possible. I kept in contact with you everyday to provide you the most accurate and up to date information as it was available to me. When the shipment arrived to the local agency it was scheduled to be delivered to you the next. Given the holiday you moved over we were able to get your remaining shipment to you as fast as possible with a minimal delay. Please accept my sincere apologies for any problems or extra stress that the delay, moving is stressful and it is never our intention to cause you any extra stress during this time.
