We recently completed a major renovation of the first floor of our home with Rendon Remodeling. We chose Rendon because we wanted to work with a smaller, family-run business. We were not disappointed. From the very first meeting Mike made us feel very comfortable and confident that all of our concerns and wish-list items were being addressed. His brother Joe ran the project team and was also great to work with. They were always reachable by phone and email and accommodating of crazy schedules. In the end we had a couple change orders for things we wanted different from the original plans. The crews were all very respectful and did a good job cleaning up at the end of each day. The quality of the work is excellent. We are very happy with the final result. Our next project will be the bathroom upstairs and Rendon Remodeling is the first place we will call.

Rendon Remodeling and Design remodeled our powder room and a full bath. It is family run company that is very easy to work with. They provided us with a detailed estimate for the work and excellent support during the design and selection process. The work started on time, we always knew what was going on with the schedule, and the project finished very close to the estimated time of completion. The project manager was there just about every day to direct the staff and subcontractors, who were all very professional. Any problems that came up during the remodeling process were dealt with immediately. The work was fairly priced, any additional costs (which were transparent) were due to changes in the scope of work or for issues associated with remodeling 30+ year old bathrooms. We are very happy with the remodeled bathrooms, they are beautiful and the workmanship is excellent. Highly recommended.

From the time they entered our home to discuss adding the bathroom until the project was completed, Mike, Joey and their sub-contractors made the process extremely easy.  Almost too easy!  Living with an older parent can sometimes be stressful and as we all know, any addition or work done to a home can be stressful too.  They were extremely courteous, attentive, pleasant, and forthcoming.  They always knocked before entering as to not to scare Mom :)  The work entailed more digging than at first thought and they were neat and tidy, cleaning up everyday before they left.  I worked with their design rep (Amy) in picking paint, tiles, and the plumbing items - and she was wonderful.  She listened to what I wanted and steered me in that direction to even finding a cheaper medicine cabinet ($125) that looked just like the $900 one I liked!  They even suggested adding a closet to the outside end of the bathroom as I had just enough space ~ LOVE it!  They are a family owned business and I can only say that we were so pleased with them and their work that we are adding an addition to the house for @$200,000.  We are extending the back of the house to incorporate a sunroom, larger kitchen, a bedroom downstairs, storage, and a new deck and so far, this experience mirrors the bathroom experience.  I have no doubts or worries that it will be beautiful when completed.

We met with Michael, went over our ideas and he promptly
gave us an estimate. We tweaked the estimate just a bit, there were some things
we wanted to add, but found their estimate to be quite fair, detailed and
transparent, and definitely not the most expensive. Michael was extremely
responsive to us including being available by email and text on evenings and
weekends.
 
Next we met with their designer, Amy, who was awesome at
helping us make our selections. She is obviously very experienced and quickly
helped us narrow down our choices so it was not an overwhelming process. We had
a slight glitch with our granite choice but Rendon and Amy went above and
beyond to take care of the situation and we ended up with granite better suited
to our project.
Just before the project started we met with Michael and
Joey, the project manager. They walked us through what to expect and answered
all our questions. Joey was on site everyday and was very proactive in his
management of the project. He was in constant communication with us and the
project stayed on time and on budget. Joey is an absolute perfectionist and
left no stone unturned at the walk through. If there were imperfections, they
were not obvious to me, but Joey made sure anything he was not satisfied with
was fixed ASAP.
Rendon?s employees are all top notch and a pleasure to have
working in your home. Will is an artist when it comes to fixing walls that
aren?t level and painting.  Their
carpenters are some of the hardest working guys we?ve seen not to mention their
level of skill. It cannot be easy to install crown molding and other trim work
when the walls are not level and make it look as phenomenal as they did.
Rendon provided a level of satisfaction we have not
experienced with any other contractor. We will not hesitate to call Rendon for
our next remodeling project.

I never knew how much I would enjoy a screened in porch until I had one!  It was a long process - but totally worth it.  Rendon built us a beautiful porch adding their own recommendations to our ideas and vision. I think the most outstanding aspect of the job is the quality of the final work product. Everything was done with the higest quality in mind. Working with everyone in the company was a pleasure.  From the initial meeting with Michael, working with the architect, to the daily construction updates from Joey, we felt informed and in the loop. No project goes perfectly, but all challenges were handled professionally and in a timely manner. We got several estimates for th eproject and Rendon was not th eleast expensive - but they were worth every penny. I would use them again without hesitation.  We are very proud of our home and even more so now!

Very professional, always on time and project was 100% on the schedule we agreed to before beginning.  A bit pricey compared to other estimates, but I feel the cost was worth it to not have to deal with any headaches along the way.  They took care of everything along the way...permits, inspections, and material deliveries.  A+ start to finish.

Excellent job of installing new windows.  Workers were courteous and did an excellent job cleaning up after.  Windows look beautiful.

We were impressed with all aspects of our experience with Rendon Remodeling. They were responsive in every step of the project from design through execution. Besides the excellent craftsmanship they demonstrated, they were excellent communicators, which my wife and i really appreciated. Unlike other contractors we've worked with previously, if they were delayed in any way, they would contact us immediately. We really appreciated this and it made the whole project less stressful and more enjoyable.

They started and ended the work on time - except for some carpet issues, which was out of their control and they handled very well. All of the workers who came into our home were friendly and professional. They were very good about letting us know exactly who was going to be coming to our house on what days, and made sure that no one started too early, since we had sleeping children. The final product works well and looks great. They also went above and beyond when we had an issue with the carpet company stepping on my son's electronic toy. Even though their job was over because the carpet was installed at the very end, they kept communications going with the carpet people to make sure that we were compensated for the broken toy. I will also mention that this particular carpet company was not one that they had ever worked with before, but we were forced to use because we had to match some existing carpet that had been installed a few years earlier. Overall, we were very satisfied with the work that Rendon did for us and we would use them again.

We have used Rendon for adding a sunroom to our house. We're very pleased with them then so we decided to use them again. Windows were replaced in a day. They were on time and cleaned up like they hadn't been there. Windows look very nice. We definitely use Rendon for future projects.

I was so impressed because the owner or supervisor will come by and make sure that everything is being done right. They check on them. It is very professional.

Rendon Remodeling was an excellent choice for us in our kitchen remodeling. From the initial meeting and sales discussion, the demolition, choosing of cabinets, counters and backslashes, lighting, granite, etc to the installation, clean-up and final touches. Everyone on the team was like a family member, trustworthy, respectful, clean and neat. They arrived on time and always left the area cleaner than expected. We have a dog and she was treated with kindness and respect. I cannot say enough good things about Rendon Remodeling from their tedious work, ingenious solutions to unique requests to their expectation of perfection. I would and have recommended them to anyone who needs remodeling and design solutions.

I emailed the company to request a quote, and they responded. Once we got our schedules in sync, Michael Rendon came out to review the project. We discussed high level what was needed, and what could/could not be done, as well as considering some possible options and their merits. He took that information and within a week we had an estimate. Once we responded to the estimate, and had a phone call to discuss minor issues, a contract was written up. We accepted and all paperwork was signed and the initial down payment was made. We were on the schedule for a few weeks down the road, which was fine as we had no rush to do the work.
After about 6 weeks we met with Karen to select our finishes. She drove us around to the three different dealers we needed to visit, granite, tile, and finally sink/faucet. She was instrumental in keeping us on budget and discussed time frames as well (some items are easier/quicker to get, etc). I'm not sure how I would have managed to pick out the finishes without guidance, so this step was key in our positive experience. She had even set up appointments with people who worked at the stores so they could help us as well. The dealers we met were always nothing less than accommodating, the granite dealer even gave us a sample of our granite to take along with us to the other appointments. Overall, the selection process was a dream, and I'm sure otherwise it may have been the most harrowing part of the experience.
Once we had our selections made, our start date could be set. Work began about 3 weeks later. About a week before work began, I had another meeting with Michael and the construction lead Joey. We went over the final selections so they could be ordered, and measurements were taken. They tried to consider all issues that may arise, and they had further paperwork to attest to the work that would be done etc. The professionalism was astounding, with notes being taken for the most seemingly benign comments on my part.
A week later, I was prepared with the kitchen bare when the workers arrived on 10/29. They arrived on time, with the construction lead on site to begin the work, as well as a carpenter and painter. Hurricane Sandy also arrived that day, but the workers kept working until around 4pm. They always cleaned when they left, leaving the kitchen in decently useable condition, as we were of course living there during the work. They didn't come every day, but out of the next two week there was work being done every day but 2, and one was due to the storm. The painting was the majority of the work, and then came the counter tops as well as sink one week after the work began. Once they were in the tile workers came. They were only onsite for two days, which was impressive!
At the end of two weeks, the only thing left to do was to touch up some paint issues, install the faucet, and re-install the switchplates. The plumber was supposed to come that Friday, but apparently there was a mix-up. Luckily, he was able to come out on Saturday, which brought my kitchen back to full function. I was very impressed that he came so quickly, and was still friendly and caring considering I was home with my 4 year old. All of the guys were very courteous at all times and accommodating to my needs and my son's. I never felt like they were and quot;in the wayand quot;. And if I needed something, they were always sure to supply it. They always locked up if I wasn't home, and if I was they would verify that I was there before they left.
After the work was done, Joey came over to work on a punch list. There were some pretty minor paint touch ups I found over the weekend, and he was quick to say that would be no issue, and found some of his own issues with areas that needed extra painting. They even painted our window sill that was surely in need, but not part of the official scope of work. Also, at some point a part was misplaced that was crucial to re-installing our garbage disposal, so they simply replaced the entire unit.
With Rendon, you will get service and quality. They were not the cheapest option, but they also weren't the most expensive. They never tried to up sell me on any finishes, only reminding me if I went way out of line on the + side. They took their jobs, each one of them, very seriously, but they weren't stoic. I was able to speak with them easily and they understood what I needed at every turn, by the end even anticipating what I may want/need before I could voice it. Honestly, I couldn't imagine having a better experience with a contractor.
It is now 11/20 and they have been 100% done nearly a week, and no complaints. Everything works like it should, and looks fantastic. They've even contacted me since to verify that I am still happy with everything they did. At every step, there was paperwork. Changes were written up and all charges were clearly stated from the beginning and throughout the process. At no point did I get and quot;sticker shockand quot;. Michael was phenomenal at his estimation, so it was so close to the end cost it was almost right on, if I hadn't upgraded some finishes.
Bottom line, if you choose Rendon, you will NOT be disappointed.

Using Rendon Remodeling was an easy decision for us. They built our screened in porch a few years prior to our recent remodel, and they were the first company we called for a bathroom estimate. From start to finish the process was as smooth as a remodeling process could be. It is a family owned and run business, and you get a good core family feeling working with each of them. They treat you as a member of their family. From brainstorming the best plan to work within our physical parameters, plus budget constraints, to selecting the granite, tile, floors, and cabinets, etc. to implementing the design, to a successful, on-time completion, the process was great, and the result is phenomenal! If we had another remodeling project, I know who I will call, no doubt about it!

Rendon did an excellent job from start to finish. From sales to contractor, they are a professional company and stand by their work. This company is family ownded and run and could not be friendlier and more professional!!! We love our new bathroom and we would use Rendon again in a minute.

From start to finish my experience with this family business was not only professional but enjoyable. If you are one of those people, like I was, who is heading into your remodeling project with fear and trepidation then Rendon Remodeling is the company for you. They were not the least expensive bidder on my job but they came highly recommended to me and I was not disappointed at paying a bit more. They did everything in a quality manner, they worked consistently and thoroughly and finished the job in the time they promised. I trusted everyone who came on site and felt perfectly comfortable leaving my home in their hands on those occasions when work or other commitments necessitated being away from the house. They kept me informed, helped me with sourcing of materials, responded quickly when I reached out, and were in many instances more particular than I about the level of perfection of their work. Most of all, they're just all so darn nice it was fun to have them around! If Rendon is proposing on your job, do not hesitate, hire them!

This company lives up to its reputation as a family owned business. Fred Rendon has his whole family working along side of him. His sons Michael and Joseph are experienced and knowledgeable just as much as he is. Karen his wife is a jack of all trades. Due to a lot of hassle from Fairfax County contruction work didn't start until November 17, 2011. Our HOA gave us approval but Fairfax County was another matter. In order to build an enclosed addition we had to be twenty five feet from our property line. Karen got busy on the phone, went to the zoning office numerous of times and attended the hearing at the court house in order to get zoning approval. After getting the approval we were ready to start discussing plans for our room. Fred knew exactly what we were wanting in a sun room and with his ideas and the architect that he works with designing the plans we were finally ready to start building. All the sub contractors that he used which included electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry. siding and roofing, tile, painters and carpenters were a great bunch of people to deal with. court house in order to get zoning approval. We were quoted that the project would take three months from start to finish. Due to all the rain and the holidays that we had at the time a few extra weeks was all that was required. From day one we were contacted nearly every day to fill us in on what was going on with the project. At the end of the day work site was cleaned up. If we had a question or concern about something they were more than happy to help us out . We had such a good experience with this company and without hesitation would use them again.

The entire process was great from start to finish. The whole team we worked with was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. It was evident that the whole Rendon family takes pride in their company. We worked closely with each of them and were comfortable asking any questions we had and they were ready to explain everything to us.

The work was completed in a timely manner and quality of the work is evident in the finished product. The very few and random issues that popped up were resolved quickly and efficiently.

The basement looks amazing and we will definitely be using Rendon Remodeling again!

In the summer of 2010, after exhaustive research and estimate gathering, we contracted with Rendon Remodeling and Design to replace our severely outdated kitchen and water damaged master bath. While we did not undertake a serious REdesign process, we did want to gut both rooms and remodel them from bare bones. We chose the Rendon's for many reasons. While the estimate we received was not the lowest, it was by no means the highest either. They came in and listened, made suggestions where they felt we were off the mark, without prescribing plans that were outside of our desires and expectations, and then perfectly implemented our wishes. From start to finish, we knew we were in capable, professional hands.

Rendon Remodeling and Design is a family owned business which was very appealing to us. From intake, to estimate, to materials selection and on-thru to project completion -- we were absolutely thrilled with the outcome of our relationship with them, without exception. Communication was paramount to us during the process, and we really appreciated their willingness to report to us on a daily, if not more frequent, basis. Also of great importance to us was that their staff was made up of quality craftsmen; all experts in their specific fields. For example, the entire main level of our home, with the exception of the kitchen -- had existing custom triple crown molding. Without a glitch, they fabricated an identical product and installed it seamlessly providing us with a gorgeous outcome. They also designed and constructed an oversized, custom shower and supervised the design of a custom surround. Another impressive element -- we had the same core crew in our home daily -- fostering trust, familiarity and the sense of humor necessary to survive the duration of the project. We never saw a revolving door of unfamiliar faces.

Rendon Remodeling and Design rely on subcontractors only for plumbing, electrical, and custom tiling -- and it is clearly evident that those relationships with their subs are long standing, enduring and of equally high caliber professionalism. As in any remodeling project of this scope, we did experience a few hiccups, none of which could have been predicted, nor for which the Rendons were responsible. When there were small, unpredictable delays (cabinet delivery for example), they met with us immediately, secured top priority attention to our needs, and were able to keep our project on schedule with only the most minuscule delays. At those times, they were in our home on a daily basis, moving forward with the plan and keeping us completely informed all along the way.

We were completely comfortable with their on-site staff in our home when we were present AND in our absence. They treated our house, belongings and us with courtesy and respect, leaving the environment clean and neat at the end of each day and leaving us with a clear plan for what to expect in the days to follow.

Without hesitation, when another project is on the horizon, we will contract with them to do the work -- whether it be interior or exterior in nature. Our days of research and phone calls are over. They will be our first and only call. Basically -- you call, they come, they plan, they communicate, they do top notch work and most of all, they deliver deliver the outcome they promise. It's been more than a year since our project was completed, and every day we still stop and appreciate the beauty and value they added to our home. In a nutshell -- professional, accountable, accessible and superior.

Can't say enough about the excellent job Rendon Remodeling did. Windows look fantastic and the quality of workmanship was excellent. In addition, the installers were courteous, professional and explained everything about the windows. I was contacted after the job was done to be sure we were satisfied.

Had several repairs performed on my house in spring 2011 (don't have the exact date handy): fence repair and exterior wood trim replacement and painting. Signed contract indicating wood trim would be replaced with composite. After most of the repairs were performed, I physically checked the trim to ensure it was composite and it turns out it was not (99% of the replacement pieces were wood). Apparently, this was done to save costs when more wood trim on my home needed repair than they'd first realized and estimated, but the switch was done without my advanced approval and no change in the price was made. I also had a large wood trim piece that had significant termite damage that they tried to putty over instead of replacing. It was only replaced at my insistance. I've just had to have additional wood trim repaired that they should have realized was damaged beyond repair (and that they painted over in the spring). This is my second negative experience with Rendon. I used them for the second time, hoping the first was a fluke, but it was not. The first experience was having a large beam replaced on the side of my home that was damaged by wood rot. Following the repair, they failed to properly seal the openings in the siding that they cut out of electrical runs, etc. Now just a few years after that major (+$15,000) repair, I've got new leaks in the very areas where they worked. The company starts out strong, the owners appear to care, but in the end they do not finish well (at least they have not on my home).
