"Sir, I am sorry that we failed to meet your expectations. Their were some unique challenges with your fireplace and we wanted to make sure we were 100% correct before we provided any service to you. If we can be of any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact us."
"Sir, I appreciate your perspective on the matter. However, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 211: Standard for Chimneys, Fireplaces, Vents, and Solid Fuel-Burning Appliances and the stove manufacturer BOTH require the wood stove inserts be separately lined. This is a LEGALLY required safety standard. Its NOT an option to install or use a wood insert without a liner! There are several reasons for this. First, a wood stove insert changes how a chimney drafts or vents. A wood stove has a smaller and more concentrated release of carbon monoxide, creosote, ash and other particulate matter. The smaller vent, specified by the manufacturer ensures the particulate matter effectively vents from the fireplace out of the chimney. If not properly installed, creosote (a highly combustible by product of burning) will rapidly build up inside the firebox and smoke chamber. The end result is a VERY dangerous situation that could have catastrophic results for you and your family! We will NOT service any appliance that is not properly installed or safe to use. As a licensed contractor we a professional, legal and moral responsibility to ensure our laws, county safety codes and standards are followed. If you would like to discuss the matter further you can reach me directly at 703.303.4237. Respectfully - Jeffrey A Peterson, President."
"[Member Name Removed], We invest heavily in training and certification for all our technicians. Please visit the Chimney Safety Institute of America www.csia.org for validation. We absolutely will NOT compromise our integrity or your safety by giving you an incomplete or inaccurate condition assessment report to match a competitors price. Our assessment report is based on the National Fire Protection Association Code 211, which specifies the construction and safety standards for fireplaces. We conduct a high definition video inspection of every chimney and flue we service. During the inspection we ask you, the home owner to watch the video with us so YOU can see the condition of your chimney and internal components. When repairs are required we make recommendations using carefully selected products and procedures that we believe provide the best, long term value for our customers. We make every effort to be as transparent and forthright as possible. People and professionals can and do disagree. My policy is to error on the side of caution. I think that is a prudent and effective business methodology. If you have any questions or would like to talk with me personally please contact me at 703.303.4237. Respectfully - Jeffrey A Peterson, President."
