Kudos to NVR! We had our flat (tar and gravel) roof serviced and were really impressed. "Jim" was on-time, friendly and very professional. He spent a long time meticulously cleaning and servicing the roof. He also gave us some great ideas on dealing with a pesky gutter problem that others have have failed to address. Highly recommend!

The only issue I have is that it seems that there is a leak in the roof they did a while back. They have been very responsive to solve the problem, but they just haven't been able to find it yet.

They started with a low ball quote and it was a bait and switch operation. They damaged my skylights and found every reason why not to repair them and then I had to spend money to have them replace them properly. They had a clause in their contract that said that if they had to do any repair to the supporting wood slats then they had a specific charge per square foot in very small print. Under the shingles, there are lateral slats of wood that are boards and they told us in the area that had the leak, they could only do so much work and tjhey would only be doing that area to replace the slats and it would be only so much per square foot. We had discussed a small area to have the boards replaced under the shingles. They torn off 1/2 the roof including the boards before they mentioned to me the rest of the boards could not be salvaged. This doubled the contract and then some. They told me after the roof was off, they could have never save the boards since it was an old house and they never intended to salvage the boards. They could not use plywood over one little area or it would not be even. So they knew they were not going to use the under boards originally and that was where the scam was. They got us good and their contract was a masterpiece.

I called them because our home's previous owner used them to replace some flashing above a bay window. Asked them to come look at some damage we had due to ice damning from the unusually harsh winter. Called on a Tuesday to scheduled an estimate for that Friday fist thing in the morning. They called on Thursday afternoon to cancel beacause they needed to send two technicians. I didn't receive the call on time because they called the home number even though I told them to call me on my cell since I was at work all day. I called back to try and reschedule, and again told them to call me back on my cell phone. They again left messages on my home number and could not talk to them during normal business hours. Each time they would call, they would tell me one possible time for an estimate, then call and change the date that would be another week to two weeks out. Highly unprofessional that they can't follow simple directions or keep their calendars straight to give customers a firm date and time for an estimate for possible work. Will happily give my money to another business to perform the work.

The appointment for the estimate was with Ryan. He recognized some problems and gave solutions to some existing issues we had experienced before we were able to tell him about them. He saw what other gutter contractors had not noticed. He didn't call me to set up a time to do the work, the workers showed up one unexpectedly when I was not prepared to have them start. We rescheduled for another day, they didn't show up, I called and was told it would be the following day. They did come and do the work the following day but I did not know they were not finished until they showed up the next day, 15 minutes before I was having 30 people at my house for a party, to complete the work. The work is done and we've not had a good downpour to see how the entire system is working. Until that happens, I can't comment on the outcome.

The workers showed up right on time. They found my older house to have older door frames a little different than they expected, but they dealt with the oddities well. They were careful with the old woodwork around the door frames that they removed and the final doors are just excellent.

We have used No VA for other roofing issues in our home - they are very responsive. Our lessoned learned is to be persistant, and that a new set of eyes on a problem is valuable.

It turned out very well. They roofs looks excellent. They did a good job cleaning up.

Repairs were not done well. Roof continued to leak.

Their estimator came out and immediately found the problem areas. Their price was right and we used them in the past so we knew they provided excellent service. We setup a time for the work to begin and they came out as planned and repaired and replaced the broken tiles on our porch roof and house roof. The leaking stopped and we have not had any problems since.

NVA Roofing came out to give us an estimate and worked with us to find the right color that matches the other trim on the house. They performed their work without any problems and it looks great. The only problem we had is that we asked them to fix a slate tile and this work was not done so I had to ask them to come out and fix it. We had a problem with drainage on one gutter but they came out and fixed it upon my request. We have since recommended them to our neighbors since we were so happy with their service.

The shakes and the craftsmanship demonstrated in their installation were of the highest quality. From the master roofers to the gutter and downspout installers, I was impressed by the teamwork, the courtesy and the commitment of all to produce a first-class product. Of course, I am particularly indebted to Mr. Francis for his personal involvement and his determination to ensure that excellence was maintained in every phase of the project. I have always heard that the Northern Virginia Roofing was a friendly business which provided personalized service, but I was delighted to find that they treated me as an extended member of the family. I would be pleased at any time to speak on behalf of the excellent services provided by the company.

We contacted them, they came out to do an estimate on the same day. Their rate was very reasonable. They started work the following day. They were done in 2 days, very professional and cleaned up after themselves. I was amazed with how busy they were that they started the next day.

Northern Virginia Roofing is an excellent company with a staff that can be trusted. They keep their appointments, communicate well and do outstanding quality work.

It was kind of funny. I had them do some repairs. They had a representative that wasn't so good but I would give them an A. I would recommend them and use them again.

One person showed up to do the work and was on the job for only 1 1/2 hours. Supervisor came back to inspect work a couple of days later and said work was complete. A couple of days later it rained and the roof was worse off than before, leaking in the same area and an additional area. They came back to give us another estimate of $1,200 in addition to what we had already paid to fix the roof. We contacted another roofing company, Pond Roofing, and they gave us an estimate of $1,000 to fix our roof. It took 3 men, 8 hours to complete the job by Pond Roofing (recommended by Angie's List) and our roof leaks no more. I would never recommend Northern Virginia Roofing to anyone. They did not fix the leak and cheated us out of our money.

Everything turned out exactly as I wanted. They did an excellent job with the gutters. Their price was very good and there were no surprises when I got the bill. The gutters look beautiful and work great. They responded to my calls very well. I would definitely recommend these guys.

They finished the flashing and siding; however have failed to finish the roof, and honor the contract. they are billing for work that has not be completed.

They were great and I would definitely use them again if I need to.

I called several roofing companies for a quote. NVRC was the most expensive but seemed to be the most convincing in terms of their knowledge of the problem and their suggested fix, so I went with them. When the work was completed I noticed that it was not what they had said they were going to do or what they charged me for. Instead of repairing an 8x8 area and they only repaired a 4x4 area (a quarter of the work charged by the square foot) and the roof tiles they used did not match at all. I called and asked for someone to come out and review the job and tell me if it was sufficient to fix the problem and if not would they fix it and if so could I get a refund. They said it was fine as is, that was the best they could do for a match and offered a 10% refund when they only did 25% of the work. The fix did not work, they offered another $1800 solution. I eventually hired another roofing company. The roof no longer leaks and the tiles they used match perfectly.

Their representative, Rob Livingston, was very professional and helpful. He presented us with a full brochure of the company history, including references, and a detailed estimate of the work they would perform and the cost. We had competing bids, but NOVA Roofing was the most competitive and professional. We did have to wait a while for the roofing components to come in, but it was not a problem. We have used them before for skylight replacement, which was also an excellent experience. They did accidentally break one of the skylights, which they replaced without any hassle whatsoever. All in all, it very good experience and I highly recommend them.

It was amazing! After having to delay due to rain, one Sunday morning two vans pulled up and fifteen guys jumped out and started setting up ladders. Soon the shingles were raining down off the roof. The coordination was impressive. By noon, all old shingles were off and the new ones going on. They completed the job in one day and it looked amazing! They also cleaned up all the debris out of the yard before departing. They showed up on time and completed the work as promised. Very good experience.

I would not recommend this company. My estimator missed two appointments (one at 7am and one at 11am). It took 3 months to complete the simple roof repair. They were supposed to call the day before the repair, but did not. Instead I got a knock on my door at 7am (which I did not hear) and a ladder being thrown against the side of the house (which I did hear). The aluminium used is very flimsy and bows in at each nail, unlike the previous aluminium. However, the people are nice, when you actually see and meet them. I would say they are on the high side, as far as pricing. I'll find someone else, for my next roof repair.

They were HORRIBLE about showing up for work. It took almost 6 weeks to complete the job that was promised to be done in less than a week and a half. They were VERY expensive.

THIS IS A WONDERFUL COMPANY. WE CALLED AROUND TO OTHER COMPANIES AND THIS ONE WAS LOW IN PRICE AND WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. I WAS VERY PLEASE WITH THIS COMPANY.
