Salesman and technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. Labor was thorough and tidy throughout the installation. They work hard to please the customer.

Had a leaking pipe and called John Nugent & Sons. They quickly sent Joel out. Joel did a great job assessing and repairing the leak and then came back to help with a follow up issue. Overall my experience was great. John Nugent's team were easy to work with and very professional throughout. I would definitely recommend using them.

John Nugent & Sons are consummate pros. Everything went well from the initial call and provision of estimate - Mike put on those little plastic booties to protect carpet (the only one of the four firms we called) - to the installation and follow-up on a couple of minor hiccups. Price was the lowest of the estimates, by a few hundred dollars, but no sacrifice of quality or service. The furnace had to go into a pretty tight spot, but they managed it with persistent effort. When a small gauge arrived broken - no fault of JN&S - they jiggered up a provisional solution and where here next day with the right part. They also followed up promptly when we thought the new furnace was kind of noisy by installing a new grill/vent (and adding some insulation that dampened noise) at no additional cost. And when we discovered that our recently installed gas fireplace wasn't functioning after installation of furnace, JS&N sent out Chad to do a quick check - no charge - and get it going properly (the firm that installed the fireplace would have charged us $185.00). Office personnel were also courteous and prompt in returning calls and scheduling visits that worked for our schedules. So, very happy with these guys and would recommend them without hesitation for HVAC installation and service.

Typical bait and switch. $79 clean and furnace check up was really a $230 upsell to clean the burners, which only too 10-15 minutes. Sad you can't find good, honest HVAC service.

I had several small plumbing projects as well as some optional work and I arranged to have everything done in one day. The company was very accommodating about setting up a day that met my schedule. The plumber, Miguel, arrived promptly and completed all the estimated work. Everything was cleaned up at the end and everything works. I was amazed at how much was accomplished in a few hours and how easy it turned out to be.

I would (and actually have) use Nugent again in a second. First, they are responsive to requests for proposals. I never understood what seems to be a constant problem in the contractor world, and that is communication. The estimator came out, wrote up the job, and was very responsive to our questions. We scheduled the work. When it was time to do the work, Nugent fulfilled the second rule, which is manage the project. If I wanted to manage my own project, I would do it myself. However, I'm paying good money for others to manage the job, and Nugent did. The supervisor came out first to ensure a smooth project. When the work crew finally came, they did so in force, with a lot of guys to do it quickly. They were friendly, clean, and respectful of our property. They finished the job in two days, and it was a nice, tidy appearance. The unit works great. I have now hired them to do some plumbing, and the service so far has been awesome. Will write when that work is complete to update. UPDATE--November 2014: The plumbing work (replacing all of the plumbing in the house and correcting substandard plumbing in the kitchen addition) is complete. It is a MASTERPIECE. Julian, the plumber, is an artist with copper pipe. Plus, he is considerate of my property and a hard worker. Again, I can't say enough good things about the company.

Very pleased as always with John Nugent. They are our go to plumbers. We have used them many times before. Professional, friendly, tidy and very knowledgable.

A master electrician, Michael, and associate, Cody, came early as promised, spent about 6 hours (excluding lunch) doing the work above, and provided parts, wiring for lantern and new outlets. They worked quickly, had valuable suggestions for some re-routing work, and were competent in their jobs. Initially I thought the labor charge for two electricians for about six hours of work a bit high (excluding what I estimate was somewhere around $100-$150 in parts), but after considering their efficiency and quality of work, I think the charge was fair and reasonable. The day after service, I found that one installed outlet had difficulty in accepting a plug, and Cody returned within a few days to replace the faulty outlet. All said, I would recommend John Nugent & Sons for electrical work.

Initial estimate was done by Mike Jackson and he was prompt at following up throughout the process. I chose Nugent for a combination of price (they weren't the lowest but weren't far off) and that they used carrier equipment which was slightly more efficient and quieter than the alternatives I considered. The installers were on time and worked well and the job seems professionally done. I would defintely consider using them again.

The service that we received was excellent. Our service provider, Julien, arrived on time, assessed the work that needed to be done and got right to work. He was very professional and are very pleased with the result. We have used Nugent & Sons in the past and they have always done a great job. We highly recommend Nugent & Sons to our friends & neighbors.

Todd came on time; wore shoe covers when he walked on rugs. Took time to answer questions, and explained "common" wire problem. Established thermostat reading to our liking.
