Miguel was dispatched on the same day of my call on Saturday. It was for a rental property. He showed up on time and diagnosed the problem. He came back with the parts on Tuesday and made it work. They required half of the estimate over the phone from the job site when Miguel diagnosed. After I paid it, they send me invoice which showed $149 for dispatch & diagnose and $650 for 2 hours of work or for change of gas control valve . When Miguel finished the job, they required exact amount of the original estimate. It actually did not take 2 hours more like half of it. Initially, a receptionist told me they would charge for the job not for hours. So, I guess that Miguel's job was very fast or their charge is high.

I originally only needed an HVAC installed and I received an estimate for the HVAC only (for a ceiling unit). Upon a return inspection, I was told that I needed to replace the water heater as well, in order to make room for a different type of HVAC. My water heater did not have any problems and did not need to be replaced at all; to be honest, I was annoyed. I also didn't want to have to spend any more money. If I hadn't received other estimates from other companies that had already told me this upfront, I may have had a bigger reaction. The installation also included a thermostat that was much fancier than I needed (since this is going into a condo that I plan on renting out). It would have been much nicer if they discounted the price for a lesser thermostat, but the price of a thermostat is really negligible in the big picture. In the end, I bought myself a water heater that I didn't need, but I'm satisfied with their overall work. The installation happened over the course of 2 days and we were able to schedule work quickly, within a week of the estimate. Everyone from the estimator to the guys that did the work were very friendly, punctual, and professional.

The technician came in and analyzed what was broken. He then ordered the parts and fixed the ac unit about a week later. Very nice service person and I decided to buy the annual program for my heating and ac as he/they were so professional.

Excellent customer service! We have been with John Nugent and Sons for over four years. In 2012 our great technician, Nick G., repaired our air conditioning unit the day before the infamous derecho hit, and my wife had just had ankle replacement surgery. Nick had the part in his truck and was able to fix the unit without wait, and we had air conditioning throughout the derecho ordeal. We had Nugent and Sons replace our central heating and air the same year, and the work was professional, clean and on-time. We have an annual service contract with the company and have had the same technician, Nick, performing the summer and winter maintenance checks. The company always reminds us of the needed service and initiates scheduling the visit, which is helpful for our busy schedules.I would recommend John Nugent and Sons to anyone needing dependable, professional heating and air conditioning services.

this company was very responsive and was able to install the new hot water heater (replacing our 25 year old unit that no longer worked) the day after they gave a quote. I was impressed, as several other providers we quoted put us on a wait list for several days. Price wise, they came in higher than a home depot contractor but lower than other major providers in the area. the technician, Limbert, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They came when they said they would and got the job done well. During the installation, an issue came up with the location and condition of our water shut off valves. Limbert recommended replacing these and orienting them correctly, which was expensive but in the end I think it was the right decision and they gave us a bit of a break on the cost. would use them again for sure.

Technician Ron Mills of John Nugent and Sons did a great job. He checked both the heat pump and furnace very quickly, ensure they performed optimally, and was very professional. I've used this company for check up and for installation of some mechanical work. I would recommend this company to homeowners and will use them again in the future.

I have worked with many home improvement contractors the past 20+ years. I would rate John Nugent & Sons as one of the best experiences from the initial estimate, planning meeting, scheduling the work, installation to completion and quality of work. They were flexible, knowledgeable and were patient in addressing questions we had throughout the process. I would highly recommend them for HVAC services.

It went well. There was additional cost because there was some damage. The workers were professional and courteous.

We had issues with the outside lamp. He removed bugs accumulated between the light bulbs and the socket. Lamp now works. Smoke detectors. He recommended replacing three smoke detectors in 3 areas with ones which detect both smoke and carbon monoxide. He also recommended replacing all other smoke detectors in all 5 bedrooms and other areas of the house. Replacing bulbs in 2-storey living room with long lasting LED bulbs.

The whole experience was professional from beginning to end. I was kept informed of their progress during the installation. They were punctual and polite.

I called them at 850 and a tech arrived before 10. Joel was able to diagnose a faulty component and replace it quickly. Joel seemed knowledgable and happy to educate me about the system while he took some time to verify the repair solved the problem and everything was functioning properly. Responsive, friendly, competent, appropriately priced. Will use again.

John Nugent and Son's has been very good to us since we moved into our house back in March. (By way of background, we had a negative experience with another company that we called initially to quote our electrical panel upgrade. The electrical rep from the other company was great, but he called his HVAC rep to quote the HVAC and things went South very quickly. The HVAC rep from the other company was high pressured and borderline obnoxious. And not only that, his quote did not include replacing the furnace! We then called John Nugent and Sons. Not only was their quotes for services for both the electrical panel upgrade and the HVAC much lower, there was never any pressure. It truly was because of our first experience with Michael Wiebolt and the electrical department of John Nugent that we again called on them when it was time to replace our HVAC system. Michael was honest and straightforward from the very beginning. The HVAC Team of John Nugent are equally amazing! Chad, Jorge, Isaac and Juan were punctual, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and did an impeccable job with the design and installation of our new Carrier HVAC system. They also ran 3 new supply lines in our basement to improve overall performance and efficiency. We are definitely huge fans of John Nugent and Sons. We had a defective connector hose under our sink burst. We called John Nugent and Son's and Limbert came out within 2 hours of our call! He identified the problem immediately and made the repair. He also inspected the home Thank you Limbert and John Nugent and Sons!

This was a $49 big deal. The service I needed I had to add a little extra to it. The final cost ended up being about $70 so there was a little additional. I was kind of disappointed, but it was okay. It was sort of routine and nothing jumped out as being excellent. Plus I had to pay a little more for the maintenance. Overall I am satisfied. I would definitely consider them in the future. I would ask them for an estimate.

Arrived on time, took care of business, everything was back to normal in a matter of minutes. A switch was failing; they reset it and showed me how to check for it next time. 100% satisfied.

He called and was available early in the day. Very professional and efficient. He was honest about the bathroom sink which is old and had rust flaking off the pipes. I decided to defer a repair as I want to remodel the bathroom anyway. Very pleasant experience.
