After reaching many service providers John Nugent is only one came next day, diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue. Just paid $49 for that service.Also the engineer gave suggestions on what are other things that may come up in future. Eventually it happened after few weeks as the cooling was not effective due to low refrigerant issue. Called them back and the engineer showed up the next day morning 8 AM, diagnosed the issue without charging any labor or diagnose cost. Just paid the refrigerant refill cost fo $120. During the visit the engineer also did a overall inspection of the HVAC system to make sure any more issues left and provided a full report of the system condition.Which was very helpful to know as a homeowner to lookup back in future for a reference. Overall it was an excellent service and totally satisfied with their service. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for good service and honest recommendations. I have seen in the past many service providers simply make recommendations to replace the parts and rip off your money.

Very well; I was given a 4 hour time window and the servicer showed up closer to the end of the window, but still within the window given. He was efficient nad knowledgeable and had the part on hand to replace. He replaced the capacitor and cleaned the AC unit's coils as well as cleaned the drip line out since it was backed up. Would definitely hire them again!

The tech didn't appear to be able to adequately diagnose the issue

My air conditioner stopped working. The fan worked but no cool air coming out. This was the only company that could come next morning, after I contacted 4 companies from Angie's List. I purchased a $49 voucher. The technician came on time. He checked and then changed a capacitor. He also pointed out that the fuse box was melt. So he could not open it to check the fuse. So on my request he changed the fuse box. He also suggested that we change the whole system. The whole process last about half an hour. He did not deduct the $49 from the final price like other repair companies usually do. Later we found that the capacitor costs only $10+ in home depot but this company charged me for $250. My whole bill is about $900. This company is way over priced although their service is ok. I think my air condition problem is a common easy job.

The technician fixed the issue with our old central AC unit. He was responsive and knowledgeable. He offered his cell number, which my wife called with her questions. The technician responded. Definitely would recommend and use again.

Excellent service from the quote to the installs (during the heat wave) to replacing one if the units in a matter of weeks due to a defect. They have our business forever.

There were no unexpected issues. There was a question of replacing a capacitor in the furnace, but it had been replaced a few months before that. They didn't charge me anything because I declined it because as I said it had previously been done. They suggested the work, but it was not needed. I was little off-put by that.

Two guys showed up and they told me that they need to put camera in the line before they give and an estimate and it would cost me $450. I told them its too expensive and why should I pay $450 just for an estimate. the guy rudely said that nothing is free in usa and I have to pay this amount if I need an estimate. I asked him that I don't need their estimate anymore and he told me that I still need to pay him $95 just for them to showup /coming there.

It was okay. They came and provided the service. It was fine. I needed it pretty immediate and they were pretty fast. There were additional charges. They cleaned something else and they charged me for that. The total cost was $220. The only thing was, they just did the service and then charged me without telling me what they were doing. It would have been nice if they had mentioned it first.

Provider came and assessed an HVAC System that was acting up and not working in this heat. Provider was incredibly professional, honest and quick. He identified the problem to the t and did some things to fix up the unit until a decision was made to replace the unit entirely with a Carrier HVAC System. The Carrier System is a dream.

Everything went well. Considering it was such short notice, we were able to get a same day appointment. Jason called when he was on his way, and when he arrived, was polite and respectful, professional, asked relevant questions, made good recommendations, and fixed the problem! He was clear on pricing and Warranty information, and clearly knows the ins and outs of Carrier system we have. Also, considering this was weekend emergency service, the service call itself wasn't as expensive as I'm sure it could have been.

They were quick to answer and send help. Since it was considered emergency service, they asked if it was something we wanted to wait so it wouldn't be as expensive, which was very considerate. The technician was on time, professional, and courteous. He took the time to ensure we were still under warranty so there was no materials cost, and despite paying for the emergency service call, minimal service cost considering it was the weekend.. He also spent time asking questions and evaluating our set-up to try and help mitigate any other issues in the future.

I purchased the $50 diagnostic coupon on Angie's list and called to make an appointment. When I called, I explained that we likely had a leak in our air conditioning unit and might need a new coil. I made an appointment two weeks in advance to have someone come out, confirm the diagnosis and fix the issue, knowing that the $50 would be credited to the total cost of the full diagnosis and repair (as was explained to me on the phone). On Friday, July 1st, the nice repairman came out and said, unsurprising to us, yes, there is a leak and you need a leak search and possibly a new coil....but that we had to schedule a time for that repair, requiring him to come back out (and for us to take another day off of work). When I called the company to find out what happened and request the fix, along with moving that $50 towards the fix, which is what I had expected in the first place, I was told that I was not possible. Nugent & Sons needed to come out and do their own diagnosis and couldn't schedule the repair that same day, and that the $50 goes towards having the person come out, and I would have to pay that again, despite having specifically asked for that the first time. Now, I do not trust Nugent & Sons to provide the services requested in a timely manner. While everyone I dealt with was a nice person, I feel like they were insincere.

I was extremely pleased with the process from start to finish. I knew these guys were reputable and honest from other dealings with them. Everyone I met, from the estimator to the installation crew, was professional, friendly, and and knowledgeable. The installation crew went above and beyond with some wiring that needed to be done. They took very good care of us, and I would highly recommend this company.

Our 12-year old Trane heat pump stopped cooling on June 20. The next day, I had another company (not Nugent) come out to look at it. They charged us over $300 to "clean" and top off with refrigerant as a temporary fix, with no cooling warranty because the unit was in need of a more expensive repair. Because the heat pump was old, the technician gave us three "good, better, best" quotes for replacement. Unbelievably, instead of giving us estimates for units similar to my existing one, he listed three top-of-the-line Carrier Infinity systems ranging from 12K to 14K! No thanks! The A/C lasted a few more days until it stopped cooling again on June 24. This time, I called John Nugent & Sons. Mike Jackson came out promptly and gave us three quotes for a new Trane system, but for much more reasonable prices. We went with a $7500 3-ton system which was a total replacement, including a new wireless thermostat. It was also larger than our old 2 1/2 ton system. Unfortunately, we had to live with no A/C for five days until the scheduled installation on June 30, and those were some long days and nights with the hot, humid, Virginia summer weather! On installation day, the technicians arrived promptly around 7 am. They were professional, courteous, and friendly. We had been told that it might take until 5 pm to install, but they finished earlier around 2:30 pm. The head technician took the time to explain how to use the thermostat and replace the filter. It's got more features than our old one, so we'll have to read the instruction book. We were also very impressed at how spotless they left the work area. There was some debris that had been there left by the previous company who didn't bother to clean up, and these guys even cleaned up that mess! It was immaculate, and they left the place looking like they had not even been there. While they had been working, there were parts and pieces all over the area, inside and out, and they meticulously picked up everything. For professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, cost, and quality, John Nugent & Sons is definitely top-notch. I highly recommend their services, and they certainly will have my business in the future.

Arrived on time. Inspected but said that the whole unit has to be re positioned to take care of the problem permanently. Installed a temporary fix to get the AC back running. Was very professional courteous and kept me in the loop all thru the process. Did not charge for the temp. fix, Gave me an instant estimate for the permanent fix. Would use them again.

Julio did excellent work! He immediately diagnosed the problem a week ago. Ordered the motor. Arrived today to install it. No problems at all. I was very confident his skills. This company earned my heating and a/c business. I'll call on them to complete future work.

The entire process with John Nugent and sons was handled professionally, timely and met all my expectations and then some. My HVAC unit needed replacement. I called on Thursday and was completed the following Wednesday. The fist meeting was to get an estimate, then a scheduling meeting and finally the work was completed. The three guys that did the work (JACK, JUAN and RONNIE) did a great job. Jack explained everything that was going to be done and they really went above and beyond in the installation. They added new installation which I dont think they had to and they cleaned out the space. Overall I am very pleased with the service and highly recommend this company. Will be using them again when I have to replace my water heater.
