Arrived on time. Very professional, very polite. Work took over two hours and he was at it the entire time. He cleaned up absolutely everything when he was done. Price was fair but not a great deal, but the work was outstanding. I reccomend them.

All went well.  Coordination with tenant was smooth.  Plumber provided advice to tenant on how to protect outside pipes from freezing and showed her inside shutoff valves and how to clear water to outside.  Plumber identified one pipe missing the proper shutoff valve.  Tenant is pleased with work.

I was unhappy with them. I responded to Angie's List saying that I wanted my money back. It was deceptive. They said that it was $59 for a plumbing call. I even called them before hand and asked for an estimate for repairing a faucet that was dripping. They said they couldn't give me an estimate until they looked at it. The guy comes on time, which is the only right thing he did, he takes a look at the faucet and says it will be $270. I have repaired that kind of thing before and I didn't want to hassle with it this time. So I asked him if that was going to cost me $59 and he said he didn't know. I responded to Angie's list saying I don't think I should have to pay because I asked for an estimate before hand and they wouldn't give me one. She reviewed it and said well he did come out there. He didn't do a damn thing! He didn't even get under the sink to look at what the problem was. It wound up taking me 10-15 minutes using a six hour repair kit. We purchased a faucet and installed it for less than what he was going to charge to repair the leak. He didn't even ask me what was wrong or touch the handle of the faucet! Standing from 10 feet away, he said $270. The work man communicated well but the Cardinal plumbing did not. They should have been able to give me at least a ballpark estimate based on previous experiences. They don't speak English well. The receptionist, it seemed like English was their second language. I am not biased against that but it seems like they might cheat us. Anybody else would have simply had a price list saying that was going to be this much for a service call, it could be this if it is simple or that if it is not simple. When I didn't get that response, I have just abandoned it but I learnt a $59 lesson. He was right here when he said he would be. He was very pleasant to work with. For professionalism, in terms of being courteous, nice and punctual, I would give him high marks. In terms of  not following to look at the problem, that isn't professional. It is highly unlikely that I would use them again.

They came, inspected, gave us a reasonable estimate, and came back the next day to perform the repair. We needed to replace a major drain pipe that was leaking. Everything works well now.

called the plumber to come out to the house for GUSHING water coming into the garage with a burst pipe and they were completely laid back about the emergency with the inability to get someone to modify their schedule to come one mile away from their location. Finally after nearly begging the lady found someone who could come out 4 hours from now, leaving us with gushing water for 4 hours.  Absurd.  Too bad for the plumbers that the phone team isn't more effective.
Response from Cardinal Plumbing Heating & Air Inc

"Dear [Member Name Removed], Thank you for your feedback and I apologize for the experience you had over the phone. We understand that emergencies can be very stressful. We have spoken with the Customer Service Rep. and we have addressed this situation. Now we did accommodate a scheduled time of arrival between 3-5pm. You had gave us a call at 12:57pm. The only technician that was available was in Herndon and was on a service call that he had completed at 2:20pm, which meant he could have been at your home before 2:45pm. You called us back at 1:07pm to cancel the scheduled call. I do apologize for not making it to your home, but we did schedule you for the same day. We did not have any TECH available for that particular moment, but we made an effort to make it to your home a couple hours after your call. Either way, thank you for considering us for your plumbing needs and for your feedback. This will be of value for training purposes and I will be addressing this issue to my staff. Please reconsider your thoughts about us and I personally guarantee this will never happen again. I hope you can give us another opportunity in the future. Best wishes, Cardinal Plumbing Management Member"

I purchased the "deal" through Angie's List. For $59, I was to receive a service call and $100 toward any needed repairs.
The plumber, who was very personable and polite, told me that the cost of replacing the toilet flapper was $175 (!!!!!).  So with my $100 credit, the new flapper would "only" cost $75.  The cost to replace the water valve to the hose bib was $215.  I was desperate to have this valve replaced because of the freezing weather -however,  the toilet flapper, well, I should have just done that myself!
So I ended up paying $349 dollars for these 2 small jobs ($59 plus $75 plus $215).  The plumber was here for less than one hour.  I feel like I was ripped off and I will never use Cardinal Plumbing again.  A friend of mine used them recently at the rate of $175 per hour...I paid nearly double this rate.
Response from Cardinal Plumbing Heating & Air Inc

"Hello [Member Name Removed], Thank you for feedback, in which I will use as valuable information for training purposes. I sincerely apologize for causing you some discomfort in regards to our pricing. We have set fees for our projects and these set fees are typically lower than several of our competitors. I can guarantee you that. As for comparing the pricing with your friends, please let me reassure you that we do not do hourly rates. So every set fee is specific to the plumbing situation that we come across. I do hope you give us another opportunity in the future and take advantage of all of our deals that we offer on Angie's List and on our Website. We offer several ways for our customers to save on their final bill. We want the best experience for all of our future and existing customers. Thank you and we wish you all the best. Sincerely, Cardinal Plumbing Management Team"

Purchased a deal on Angie's List for a plumbing service call.  They came out in a timely manner and fixed the issue in about 20 minutes.  I would use them again.

Very efficient. We purchased the $59 deal with $100 service credit.  What doesn't leak in our 1960s original kitchen?  We purchased a new faucet to be installed.  Faucet was $50 (we went cheap in hopes of complete kitchen remodel in 6 months so why waste a lot of money, we just need immediate function).  Hose from dishwasher to garage disposal/drain was also leaking profusely.  It was patched.  We were only charged another $200 total for the service work.  We purchased the deal and within 24 hours have no more leaks.  Everyone from scheduling to technician was pleasant and trustworthy.  I would definitely recommend and use this vendor again.

I called Cardinal as I had used them before. I purchased the $59 coupon from Angie's List for the service call to perhaps be able to repair my kitchen faucet. I purchased a new faucet in case it wasn't worth repairing. He arrived promptly and determined it would be best to put in the  new one. The usual price is $275 to install a new faucet but he charged me $175 since I had purchased the coupon. I am very pleased with the installation and the prompt reply to my request. I will certainly use Cardinal again.
