We couldn't be happier with Augustine. They have been responsive, answered all of our questions, gave us the 50-year warrantied architectural shingles, correctly re-roofed our low slope shed dormer, and for a price that beat every other estimate we got. They did not try to up-sell us on anything. The person who met with me for the estimate was on-site during the work. When it was finished, they had to replace some plywood, but it was extremely minimal. Another company attempted to tell me they thought a lot of our roof plywood would need to be replaced and asked if they should just include it in the cost. This was not the case and Augustine never once pressured us into doing something like that. We had some weather delays initially, which were totally understandable. During that entire time, their representative kept in constant contact with me. If I sent him an email, he often had a respond back in less than 15 minutes. After the work was done, they did have to come back to collect some more nails. There happened to be a lot of snow on the ground the day they did it, so that certainly wasn't their fault. Additionally, we had a minor issue on the back with a gutter that may have been knocked a little bit and repositioned which left a small water mark on the siding. The moment I saw this, I contacted them and they came out to check it out and reset the gutter. They recommended that the gutters on that side of the house might need to be replaced, which I don't disagree with. They quickly gave me an estimate for that, too, which I'm considering whether it is in my budget at the moment, but it is very reasonable and I will likely have them do the work at some point in the future. In summary, they will not pressure you into buying anything you don't need, which is so important in this industry. As they told me, they do roofs and the guy who came to speak with me was a roofer, not a salesman, and knew what he was talking about. The roof looks FANTASTIC, and, best of all, no more leaks. I can sleep a little easier now because Augustine did a great job for a reasonable price.

Rick and the guys at Augustine provided the lowest estimate as well as the fastest turnaround. There was a lot of inclement weather this winter and Rick was always ahead of it letting me know if they would be able to work and when. They did a great job. My only complaint was that we found some shingles and some single wrappers in our trees after they left. It's a little sloppy but it was a small price to pay for the work and speed with which they accomplished it.

The whole process was painless. From getting a quote, to answering questions, scheduling the work and the execution of the job. The whole team was very responsiveness and professional. Bill Augustine, the owner, was at my house providing an estimate within a couple of days of me calling. I thought I might need a new roof, but he determined that I could get another 5 years out of the roof with some minor repairs. The work was performed the following week. The office / billing was all very professional.

Very well. Rigo was extremely helpful in providing samples and advice to us. He was very courteous and always replied promptly whenever I called with questions. The weather. was very cold when we had the roof replaced, the roofers completed the job in one day, and were very thorough in cleanup. We did notice a flashing that needed to be fixed, and Rigo came over himself to fix it. If we ever have any questions, he is always so helpful! We are happy to recommend Augustine Roofing to our friends and neighbors.

.We could not be more pleased with the work of Augustine Roofing. From my initial contact all the way to project completion, there was never a moment when I had even a doubt about their professionalism and skill. Our interactions were primarily with Tony, the office manager and he could not have been more responsive or accommodating-not to mention patient-with our many questions and/or concerns. This is a very large, complex roof with numerous peaks, valleys and chimneys. The skill of the installation crew was amazing and the smooth transition of the various stages was seamless. The job took two full days and was scheduled with careful attention to the weather-temps were 45-50 degrees. It was actually fascinating to watch the choreography of materials being delivered as needed for each stage and the efficiency of the different members of the crew for the different tasks required at each stage. This is a group that clearly knew what they were doing, worked hard and were very accustomed to working together. At the end of the second and final day, it was getting dark (and cold!) but they were determined to make sure that everything was cleaned up and no nail or piece of debris was left-and they did exactly that. We were also impressed by the thoroughness of the detailed bid including various warrantees and how it appeared that no corners were cut. The price was considerably lower than we expected and the timing was such that Augustine let us know that they wanted the business-and were willing to make it worth our while- as this is their slower time. We also were happy to be able to take advantage of the Angie's List special of gutter screening offered by Augustine...not very fancy but will certainly get the job done. Overall, we could not be more pleased with Augustine Roofing and would recommend them highly.

Roofing crew showed on time, went straight to work, replaced entire roof in just a few hours. Cleanup was excellent, you would never know they were there except for the new roof. Project manager followed up after work was completed. All in all, a very positive experience, I would recommend them to anyone looking for roofing work.

From the initial contact with the company representative, every thing was done on time. They started work on time as promised and they cleaned up each day after work. The completed work was highly satisfactory and in accordance with the agreed upon contract. Would recommend this company to anyone.

Between the weather and schedules, it took a while to get someone out to look at the roof. I was told I needed to be there when they came out to do the appraisal. We had just bought the house and weren't moved in yet, so I had to drive over an hour to meet them. I would not have minded, except they were really late and didn't call. When I called the office, the person I spoke with looked up some information and said the person was running behind a would be a couple hours late. He then also said I didn't need to be there! So, that was a waste of time.... They did finally come out, described the many issues and gave me options. I didn't feel pressured, which was nice. I was told if I sent the signed quote back, they would schedule the work. I sent the signed quote back but didn't hear anything for a few days. I then called and they told me the work was scheduled (I just had not been notified). The day they were supposed to do the work, it rained, but they showed up the next day and worked quickly! They replaced the roof and had the area cleaned up in just one day! Overall, we are extremely happy with the work and we love our new (green) roof! Everyone was nice and professional when we were in touch, the responsiveness was just a little less than desirable.

From the very start, Augustine was great. I was in the process of purchasing my home and needed quotes on a roof replacement as part of negotiations (the previous roof had defective shingles). I called numerous companies for a quote, who all told me that they'd only come out when I officially owned the house since they seemed to feel that I was just using them for a quote and wouldn't actually pay for their services in the future. Augustine was the only one that agreed to give me a quote, and so they are the ones that got my business. Rigo came out to do the quote, and he gave me a very fair price. I took a long time getting back to him since I was closing on my house, but he was very accommodating. I also spoke a lot via phone with Tony, who is extremely helpful and always kept me in the loop. Scheduling was very easy, even though I selected shingles that had to be specially ordered. The day of installation went pretty smoothly, despite some scattered rainstorms. The only downside was that Rigo was not able to make it, and the other foreman wasn't able to show up, either. So communication with the installers was really difficult, but they did a good job. There was a small section that went uncovered in the rain for awhile, but Rigo came out to inspect it. He also noticed a few minor things that needed to be fixed (things I myself did not notice or bring up) and sent his crew out to repair them. I have been doing a number of repairs and upgrades, and this roof installation was by far one of the easiest, even though I thought it would be a stressful experience. All in all, I am very pleased and I plan to use Augustine again in the future.

Overall it went well. Rigo helped me decide on a roof color and he was spot on. The roof looks great and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. The only reason I gave a couple of "B"s is because I feel that communication of timing and scheduling could have been much better. After I accepted the quote and communicated my choice of shingle color, I didn't hear anything from them in terms of timing. I happened to be working at home on the Friday that the shingles were dropped off and, coincidentally on the following Monday when they installed the roof. I have 2 dogs who are sensitive to noise and strangers and had I known in advance, I could have made arrangements for them so they weren't subjected to the chaos. Other than that, I'm very satisfied.

This could not have been a better experience. We got multiple quotes for replacing our roof. Augustine's price was by far the best (the next closest bid was for quite a bit more, and it would have used an inferior grade of the same brand name of shingles and underlayment). However, the primary reasons we ended up going with Augustine were because of the other great reviews we saw here and because the people we worked with (Bill and Tony) took a lot of time to explain roofing systems, their experience with different suppliers and grades of materials, warranties & what they really provide, etc. We were also very pleased that they didn't try to sell us on filing a highly questionable "hail damage" claim with our insurance company to get roof and siding replaced (as some of the contractors who go around knocking on doors have done). After getting a very good education from Tony and Bill, they prepared a detailed estimate / contract proposal which accurately reflected the options we wished to consider. I mention this because it has so often been our experience with contractors that they are trying to sell you something and not really listening to what you want to consider having done, and that this comes out (if you are lucky) in the detailed cost estimate. Augustine Roofing was very professional and very motivated to meet our needs. They were very flexible and responsive in working with us to schedule around some rainy days we had and even managed to get a team out on a Sunday (the one dry day in almost a week of rain). The crew did a fantastic job. They responded patiently to a number of questions we had during installation (just to help our understanding of the roofing system) and did a great job, including at cleaning up afterward. The foreman especially had a very keen eye for detail and was happy to take us around the house with him for his final inspection. Bill then came out a couple of days later for another final inspection, demonstrating to me how important it is to them that everything is perfect. The roof looks and functions great, and it was a real pleasure working with them.

We emailed Augustine through Angie's List to request an estimate to replace our roof. Bill Augustine, the owner, contacted us the same day to schedule a time for the assessment. The next day, Bill met me at our house - he ended up calling to say he was running early if we were around. He evaluated the roof and was able to provide a rough estimate for how much it would cost to replace it. Bill informed us that we did not need significant deck repair as another company had advised a complete deck replacement. Leading up to the installation, Bill was very hands on and answered all of our questions. The team showed up the night before to place the materials up on the roof. On install-day, the crew showed up promptly at 7:00 AM and began work removing the old shingles and tar paper. Throughout the course of the day, our limited interaction with them was always pleasant and they were eager to answer any and all questions we had - primarily regarding the deck replacement. The job was completed before 4:00 and we have not found any errant nails or roof materials around the property. We have recommended Augustine to other family members in the area who expressed interest in having their roofs evaluated.

I hired Augustine to fix problems with leaks around my chimney. They built a "cricket" around the chimney to prevent water from collecting there, replaced some rotted roofing plywood under shingles, and replaced shingles and flashing. Of three roofers called to give an estimate on this job, only Augustine's estimator detected the rotted parts of the roof under shingles that required replacement. I was aware of the rot, but didn't reveal it to estimators as a means of figuring out who was the best, and Augustine found it right away. The repair is now nearly a year old and has held up splendidly, with no leakage anymore into my garage from the chimney.

Augustine Roofing sent their rep out to inspect our roof to comply with a contractual Home Inspections (HI). While on the roof the Augustine rep inspected three plumbing vent collars and the one in question by the HI was absolutely fine, secured and sealed. However, one of the three--that did not make the HI's report--had cracks in its seal. Augustine's rep, fixed the cracked seal with some black roofing caulk.

There was a leak from roof in the bathroom, so we contacted them. Indeed, we contacted a few contractors. The other contractor told us that the leak was from bathroom vent on the roof. We wanted to compare the estimate with other contractors, and Augustine Roofing came to give us their estimate. They called me on the day of the appointment and told me that they had to reschedule the appointment since the technician got sick and could not send other people due to the other projects. I took a day off to stay home for that, so I was not very happy with them but hey, I get sick sometime and I cannot control it! They promised me to send somebody the next day, and would give us a very good price due to the inconvenience they caused. In the end, they came the following day, and performed the service (repair) and did not charge us at all! They found a nail problem on the roof, and fixed it right away. They told us that it was too easy to fix it, and this time they would not charge us. They also told us that the leak was not from the vent so it should stop leaking...We really appreciate their honesty and professionalism. We will contact them for sure when we do another repair or even replacement of entire roofing!

They were great. Management was there in the morning to set things up. They also visited about half-way through the job. The crew were nice and professional. They gave me a great roof!

It went really well and it went beyond my expections. They had a really experienced crew to complete work. They cleaned up every nail in the yard and raked the grass. Used tarps to keep area clean. You would never know they were here.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was worrying about replacing my roof for about a year as I thought it would be a huge headache. I was also concerned about my landscaping and a new patio and didn't want any damage. From the quote to the job to the clean up Bill Augustine couldn't have made this any easier. First he showed up right on time, didn't waste my time with some elaborate sales pitch - and since I was a repeat customer said he would give me a discount. He spent about ten minutes with me and then said he'd email me a quote. Sure enough 2 hours later I had a great quote from him which was cheaper than the other estimates I got from the other two roofers. I scheduled the work right away and from then on didn't have to do anything other than stay out of the way. The day before the roofing a crane showed up and put all the new shingles on the roof and the following working day a huge crew arrived and went straight to work tearing off the existing roof and replacing everything. They were done that afternoon and it was like Santa Claus had been there - no mess, no nails, everything was fully cleaned up and just a great looking brand new roof. I know the job was great as it immediately started to rain that night and I walked around looking for any leaks - of course there were none and Bill guarantees the workmanship for 10 years which was 10 times longer than other roofers were guaranteeing theirs. I really recommend Augustine roofing - this is the second time I've used them and they take the hassle and the headache out of getting something like this done. I would definitely use them again.

Very smooth and professional throughout. Estimate received same day as my first call to them; roof was replaced on the date committed and within three weeks of my first call. Results are outstanding. Rick was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Great job. Very professional & prompt, and we appreciated their honesty about our needs and options. We have used them before and probably will again when we need to replace our roof.

Just one person came out and he wasn't here very long. They were very responsive, calling me back right away and arriving very quickly. And they did a wonderful job.
