It went well. The workers arrived around 8 a.m. and were gone by 3 or 3:30. It was noisy (obviously) so we all left. We weren't warned about that possibility but I guess common sense would have told us that would be the case. There was no mess left behind even though it looked like a disaster zone while they were working. We are pleased with how it looks. I'm assuming they did quality work - it rained last night and we didn't get wet! I realized throughout the process that it requires a lot of trust in the roofing company. We are not ever going to get on the roof so we trust that the plywood that was replaced did need to be replaced and that the work itself is quality and will last. The good thing is that there is a good warranty for the work as well as the product used. I am pleased with the process and trust the work done will last a long time.

The crew of about 10 men came early in the morning at 7:30 am. They removed the old shingles, replaced a few pieces of plywood, put down new underlayment, shingles, and vents. They were finished by 3:00 pm. All debris that had fallen in the yard and on the deck was cleaned up completely.

The material was delivery the day before & stacked on the roof. They arrived on time, approx. 7 guys. They tore off the shingles & old plywood. Replaced the plywood on the entire roof, put down new felt, ice dam material, shingles & drip edges. The cleaned up the area around the entire house--no nails or small pieces of plywood left anywhere. The estimate stated 2 days to do the work. They finished at approx. 730pm--completely done. The roofers worked hard & it was hot!! They came prepared with frozen or cold bottles of water & food for lunch. A friend of mine used to do roofing he said they did an excellent job, cleaned up all the old flashing around the chimney, carport & shed & replaced it with flashing that matched the color of the shingles. Had a problem installing the flashing around the Comcast cable that comes up from the carport on to that roof & into the attic. They managed to get the flashing in & looking good. Roof looks great couldn't be more pleased If you need a new roof or repairs hire this company

I selected Augustine Roofing after interviewing 4 roofers. Augustine's representative was very professional and the price was very competitive? My neighbor used Augustine Roofing and he was very pleased with the work so I chose Augustine. We have a large roof and the replacement was done in one day. The workers started on time and protected all my plants and deck furniture. I know that roof replacement is messy and noisy and I was relieved to find that my plants and furniture were not damaged. The workers were very efficient and carried away all the old roof pieces and cleaned up very well. The next day the Augustine representative came and inspected the job and made sure that a small damage was repaired in the bathroom ceiling. I would highly recommend this roofing company. S. L. Augustine was great. They came when the said and replaced the roof exactly so I didn't have to take time with the HOA approval process. This was critical because I needed to sell the house.

Once I called Augustine they sent Rigo right over to give me an estimate for the work. He was very polite and professional. He scheduled the work and they were on time and charged exactly what they quoted. They cleaned up all debris and made sure that the skylights fit looked perfect on the inside and the outside. I was so pleased with their work that I have already recommended them to friends and family! I will use them for all of my future roofing needs.

I interviewed 3 different roofing companies - all with angie's list super service awards. Augustine was approximately 30% less than other two companies. We were changing roofing materials. The other companies only gave me small boards w.small samples of the shingles. Augustine gave me a list of homes to go visit to see entire roofs covered with the shingle I was selecting. Bill Augustine came to visit w.me personally to review what would happen and to sign the contract. He did not require a deposit. The work was scheduled for a two day job. On Monday, Bill brought his team and introduced me to Pedro who would be supervising. We have several different roof slopes-most are very slanted. The men on the roof all were properly tied down. (It's a pet peeve of mine to see guys on roof w.out protection) The group worked until sundown - about 12 hours. Before they left for the evening, everything was cleaned, tidied and covered. The Tuesday group numbered about 10 men. They worked a 10 hour day and completed the job. The site was left spotless.

Augustine Roofing was very responsive from the very beginning. From my initial request sent through Angie's list, Bill and Tony were quick to respond and schedule a time to come out and review the job and develop a price quote. My husband and I were very pleased with the professionalism that Bill showed when discussing the overall scope of the job. In addition Tony provided some additional insight on the best way to utilize the Airvent Power Cool Plus. The day before our roof was scheduled to be replaced we experienced some heavy thunderstorms. First thing the next morning Tony called me promptly and asked if it was ok to schedule it the next day due to the previous day's weather. Not 5 minutes after the call from Tony I got an email from Bill confirming that the job will take place the following day. This is what I consider to be great customer service and communicating in an effective and timely manner with customers. The day of the actual removal and replacement the crew showed up promptly at 7:45 and begin to set down tarps to catch the debris. The crew was very friendly and professional. When they were done they ensured that all debris was removed and swept the yard for stray nails. I would highly recommend them for future projects.

Outstanding from beginning to end. Work with Tony and he was very responsive and everything that was discussed was performed. Excellent job on clean up. Only evidence that they were there was the new roof. Work accomplished in over 90 degrees of heat. No problems at all! Arrived when they said that they would be there and completed when they said that they would be there. Wish I as able to get that level of service from all contractors. Highly recommended from beginning to end.

I called Augustine Roofing to schedule an estimate for a leak we discovered the night we moved into our new home. We were added to the schedule quickly, and Bill showed up right on time. After examining the roof and identifying the problem, Bill repaired a small hole at no charge. I could not be happier to have found his company, and will definitely be calling him again when it comes time for a new roof or if we ever need additional repairs. I highly recommend that you do the same!

From my first email to completion of the work these guys are top notch. I travel a lot and was unable to meet with the team before installation. I went with my Gut and hired Augustine to do the work. I was out of town during the install and have nothing but positives to say about the group of guys that installed the roof. I couldn't find a single piece of trash left around the house. I have had neighbors come by and say they did an amazing job. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone and have so in my neighborhood. TOP NOTCH!

This was a very good experience. The estimate given by this company was the best and they were extremely prompt in their communications with me. They started the job a week after they sent me my estimate (due to a cancellation) and finished the job in about 4 hours. They were also kind enough to point out a siding issue on the adjoining town home which could have compromised my house. Prompt, excellent pricing, professional job. This is definitely a great roofing company.

The Augustine is a number one company which is rare to find in Northern Virginia . The owner will work with you on any problems or questions you may have and they will be taken care or answered quickly. Bill is a great guy to work with and so is his crew . They installed my 6400 sq. ft. roof in two days and the crew was very professional and worked hard. They cleaned up and hauled off all the old cedar shingles and debris. The roof looks great and changed the appearance of my home for the better.

They did a great job and was able to complete the job in one day. Before the event, they worked with me to be sure I had the right color and shape shingle for our neighborhood. Thankfully they are well known in our neighborhood so Augustine Roofing was very familiar with our HOA and our requirements. They scheduled an appointment quickly, and due to a rain delay they called quickly the night before to let us know they would not be able to work that day. Also, there was an issue with a vent stack that was crooked after roof was installed I called them and they promptly came to fix the problem. The roof looks great, and we have had tons of rain lately and have had no water issues.

They were so great with the roofing, they did a beautiful job. Their price was reasonable. They did not want any money ahead of time. They billed us after they had finished their work, something not any other contractor would do. They cleaned up after they had finished. I will use them again some time.

We have lived in the Ashburn area for 18 years and Augustine Roofing has BY FAR been the most professional contracting company we have ever worked with. Rigo Leon came to give us our quote. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. No hard pressure selling or gimmicks and the quote was very reasonable. All the work crews were phenomenal. One to deliver the roofing materials. Another who took a day to replace the roof. And another to replace the gutters. They all did an excellent job, within the time-frames we had been previously given and cleaned up amazingly well afterwards. Rigo stayed on as the project manager throughout the entire process and we could not have asked for anyone better. He kept a very close eye to make sure that the job was completed to the highest standards. Tony (and Bill Augustine -the owner of this fine company) personally handled the invoicing. They were a real pleasure to deal with. No down payment was required which gives you a sense of how trustworthy this company is. They set expectations upfront and then go out of their way to meet or exceed them. I can't say enough good things about this LOCAL company and the personal service they provide. Our 20 year-old house had the original roof and we decided it should be replaced. We had been contacted by a national roofing firm some months earlier. The sales representative was pushy and relentless in trying to sell his product; did not really seem to know his business; and his estimated cost for the project was ridiculous. In general, we prefer to deal with local contractors and this experience reinforced that. We then sought bids from two local firms. We had seen Augustine's truck and crew in the area and saw that the firm received good ratings on Angie's List. Augustine's sales representive was articulate, professional, and knowledgable; he expressed confidence that he and his company knew their business; and his estimate for the project seemed fair and reasonable. He made it clear he would be responsible for the project, could be flexible as to timing (due to weather, etc.), would ensure that the work was done well, and that his crew were well-trained and part of their regular staff. He provided us with information about our options and answered our questions without trying to "snow" us. Knowing our concerns about working on rainy days, he agreed to postpone the job for one day due to wet weather. The men doing the work were courteous and efficient, knew what they were doing, and worked well as a team. We did contact one other local roofing company which also had good reviews on Angie's List. Their estimates were comparable, but a bit higher, and the representative did not inspire the same confidence. Again, we recommend Augustine Roofing without reservation.

The office called to reassure us the work would be completed before the weather would arrive that evening. The work was completed in an efficient manner. The roof turned out to look great. The crew spent time at the end of the job to make sure all items were picked up and even used a blower to clean up the area. Overall a very good job

I got a couple of bids for my roof replacement project. After eliminating the highest and the lowest bids, I got 4 bids with similar prices. Augustine's estimate is one of the lowest. Tony the office manage called me after I told them their bid is among the few bids I am considering. He called me and offered me a very comparable price. He is very responsive and flexible on details of the contract. There are 6 roofers doing the job. It take them two whole days to get it finished. They cleaned everything afterwords. I would highly recommend this company to any friends interested in fixing or replacing their roof.
