Very easy to work with. Quickly diagnosed water issue source and concluded the need for trim caulking and replacement.  Clearly had more expertise and patience to diagnose correct issue.  Price was fair but expensive.  Others offered less to do similar job, but the expertise displayed up front made me confident that the work would be performed correctly, and it was.

I called Ashburn Handyman and spoke with the owner, Victor.  He was able to schedule me the next day.  He and his guy Anthony showed up right on time.      They were able to find the source of the leak with some required drywall cuts.   The leak was fixed and all damaged drywall was replaced, mudded and sanded in preparation for painting.     The areas were cleaned up and left as they had been found.   I would highly recommend Victor and his crew.

I interviewed several handymen to see if there was a solution to having belatedly discovered a heating/air-conditioning duct right smack in the middle of a wall I had planned to take down.  This was a period of anxiety for me since cabinets had already been produced for the location.  However, Victor Menendez, owner of Ashburn Handyman, was the only one whose substantial experience contributed to a viable solution.  The three members of the team that worked on my project were skilled, punctual, friendly, trustworthy, and cleaned up well after themselves.  Although my original project snowballed a bit, necessarily, I couldn't be happier with the end result.

From the beginning Victor was very courteous and willing to work with short notice to get the solution executed and on budget.
Victor and his team were able to complete the work quickly, allowing the floor installers to only have minor delay (a couple of days) in completing their work.

Emailed Victor back and forth over the weekend and got a commitment before the end of the weekend saying he and his crew would arrive Tuesday morning.
Victor arrived with his team at the appointed time.  We walked through the jobs, and he and I discussed each to be sure there was a common understanding, plus he discussed it with his crew to ensure they were clear on what to do.
They did a great job, got everything done, and cleaned up superbly before calling me to let me know they were ready to walk through the completed work.

Entered info on email form on company website. Was emailed back by Victor about 48 hours later. Emails back and forth, we agreed that he would come on Saturday at 9 am. I let him know that I had other appointments that day. Saturday 9:30 am he was a no show, my wife called both numbers listed on Angie's List and left messages, and I emailed him to ask if he was still coming. By 9:45 no response, so we had to leave for another appointment. At 12:55 I recieve an email saying that he was there at 10:15, rang the doorbell twice got no answer. I emailed him back and told him the appointment was for 9 am not 10:15. His reply was that his office had scheduled him for 10 am. I then reminded him that he set the appointment, not his office to which he replied with a whatever, it was his gas and time he had wasted. No apologies for wasting my time on a Saturday morning. If he can't be prompt for a quote, he will probably not be prompt for a job. Additionally, he lied and then was unprofessional with his response.

I would highly recommend Ashburn Handyman. Victor was very prompt and courteous each time we spoke on the phone. He gave me an estimate of the work when we spoke the first time and followed up that day to set the appointment. Victor and Anthony were on time and very polite. After reviewing what needed to be done, Victor left and Anthony got to work. He finished within an hour and a half and did an excellent job. The shutter was where it needed to be and the hole in the dry wall was gone. The work area was cleaned and I couldn't be happier with the work. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Victor and his crew were wonderful to work with. The work was all done thoroughly, professionally and in a timely manner, and they went the extra yard to do quality work.
For example, we did not realize that a previous owner had taken the lazy route in the kitchen and had glued floor boards and linoleum over the old tile floor, instead of removing the tiles. We never would have known this - but Victor pointed it out, and while he could have simply installed the hardwood over that mess, his crew removed it all first. This was a very laborious task but made for a much higher quality floor installation.
They also went beyond the call of duty in moving some of our furniture in order to get the flooring down (there are not a lot of places to hide large items during winter!)
The floors and stairs look fantastic, truly great craftsmanship on the entire project.
With regard to timing, the relatively small drywall portion of the job was completed in only a few hours, and the much larger flooring project in about a week - which was an excellent turnaround time considering the magnitude of the job.
During the early discussions on price and various options for the flooring materials, Victor was frank and honest, spelling out the advantages and disadvantages of different routes we could have taken. His goal was to ensure we were totally satisfied with the work after the job was completed - and now, a month later, we are.
We could not have selected a better company to do this extensive work for us. We are very pleased with Ashburn Handyman and will definitely use them again.

I located this vendor on Angie's list and sent an email with a detailed description of the Handyman services needed and asked for availablity and interest in the list of work.
No response was received.

Great.  Victor was easy to deal with and responsive.  The workmen (including Victor who came in to supervise, and was flexible enough to let me add the disposal to the task list) were prompt, polite, highly competent, and cleaned up completely after they finished.  The price was quite reasonable for the quantity and quality of the work.
I would definitely use them again.  A great company.

I contacted Ashburn Handyman based on other Angies list reviews, and very happy I did.  Nick arranged to come out for an estimate at my convenience and promptly.  They were able to schedule a date quickly and showed up right on time.  The team was here all day installing a sink, running electric to two rooms in order to install ceiling fan with light, minor repairs on banister/railings and the roof.
Victor stopped in at the end of the day to ask how the day went and ensure the job was complete to my expectations.  The repair on the railing that was loose and pulling away from the wall only required being secured by a long screw, and Victor adjusted the estimated cost to a very fair price based on the fact there was really no work involved.  
Overall, Ashburn Handyman offers great customer service, is very fair in pricing, and follows through with a job well done.  I would and will use them again and would recommend Victor and his team to others.

A waste of time

Victor Menendez and his staff did an excellent job repairing basement drywall after damage from hurricane Sandy.  We scheduled the appointment two weeks earlier, the repair was completed just as I requested, and the clean up afterwards was good.  My only minor issue was that his staff was slightly late showing up both mornings of the job.  Still I would recommend Ashburn Handyman for your home repair/restoration needs.

Responded promptly to the inquiry. However, they did not followup with the promised work date information.

Very pleased!  Victor and his team were punctual, very responsive and left behind no mess or debris.  We were in a hurry to get some damage from Hurricane Sandy repaired before it rained again and Victor was able to respond immediately with his team coming out the next day.  The price was not the cheapest of the quotes we had received, but their ability to accommodate us made it worthwhile.  We really liked Victor and the team and fully intend on using them for future jobs.

The Ashburn Handyman was very professional and friendly. I had water leaking through a window of my house and after Victor (the Ashburn Handyman) inspected the window, inside and out, he said that all it truly needed was to be re-chaulked.  He was willing to provide the service but also said that if I was handy, I could quite easily do this myself...which I plan on doing myself. He did not charge me for the advice.  I will keep him in mind the next time I do have a project that is too big to handle on my own.
