It went great! They went to a lot of extra trouble to locate the tank but didn't charge me extra. I highly recommend this company!

I hired this company for an initial inspection of the septic system because their prices were lower than other companies. However, after the issues a failure certificate for the septic system, their charges to make repairs were almost double those of other companies. And they recommended repairs that were not necessary, increasing the price. I brought in two other contractors in the region to offer estimates of what work needed to be done. Both were significantly lower in price and did not pad the bill. I ended up getting the work done by another company and the septic system passed the county's inspection.

Inspection and pumping went well. The tech told me that I needed to replace all three floats. Got a 2nd opinion and was told that the floats were working properly. Been almost two years and they are still functioning properly.

Per my request, the Great Falls Septic (GFS) driver called ahead of time to say that they were on the way and actually arrived earlier that expected. Jordan and Mark (his assistant) quickly found the access cap and proceeded to do "the deed". They were efficient, professional and friendly with doing the job! Will use them again in five (5) years and hopefully not sooner but if an unforeseen problem(s) develops know that they will be there!! BLUF - Excellent Service!!!

I had them a couple of times and they are fantastic. Once before I called them out here and they come out and they said oh you just need just little bit of stuff done and you know what we are not going to charge you for this. I have recommend them to others actually.

It went well. The former lid had all but turned to dust so the new one is a wonderful improvement.

We called a few Septic Operators in the area to schedule annual inspection. Great Falls responded promptly. Josha (aka Bob) and his assistant Tom came a bit late as scheduled but they called when they were on their way to inform us. They checked the system components and cleaned the filter very well. They replaced an aged floater and corrected the wrong sensor circuit wiring previously installed by another operator. They also educated us about the system. We greatly appreciate their responsiveness and professionalism. This is a company we can trust. We will hire them again.

I called Great Falls Septic Service Inc.after another company canceled a scheduled appointment the day before it was to occur. That appointment was made two months earlier. In contrast, Great Falls was able to schedule its appointment for the following week. The person I spoke to was knowledgeable and helpful when describing pricing for various services and septic system details. By the end of the call, all of my questions had been answered. Technician arrived on schedule, calling one hour before arrival. All services were performed professionally and without damage to landscape plantings and flower beds. I had a question about a possible repair. Technician looked at the potential problem and determined that it did not, at present, need repair. I appreciate that Great Falls did not propose unnecessary work. Pricing for the work that was performed was exactly as quoted. Technician provided good advice regarding things I should consider in the future. Based on my experience with the septic system, the advice was sound. Overall, I had an excellent experience working with Great Falls Septic Service and will use them again.

Scheduling went smoothly as did the service.

We had an alarm on our pump-fed septic. First we called Stewart Septic who we used previously for pump out. They couldn't find our records and then didn't show up for the appointment. So we called Great Falls; we were getting worried that the alarm could be an emergency, but they assured us it wasn't likely which helped us not panic. They came out right away and did a full assessment of the health of the system and determined it was the floats that needed to be replaced. They explained the options and pros and cons, and gave their recommendation. They also explained that the final test of the alarm couldn't be done until the floats were repaired, and that would reveal whether the rest of the electrical system was working. We know little about septic systems, this being our first house with one, and the one technician, who has about 25 yrs experience, took the time to explain what they were checking, what the results meant, and what the work would involve. He also answered many of our general questions about how the system works, how to keep it running best, and how to run the pump manually in case of a future alarm. They had to come back with the floats we selected, and they installed them in about 15 minutes. They were very friendly and seemed quite competent. They applied the cost of the diagnostic service call to the repair price.

I called a couple other septic places, and the earliest they could schedule me was the end of September/beginning of October. I called Great Falls Septic and they were able to get me in the end of the week. They gave me a window between 8am and 5pm, a little wide, but I'm a teacher and off for the summer, so not a huge deal. They called me around noon, and I had missed the call. When I called them back, they said they could be there in twenty minutes, which they were. They showed me where the outlet is for the septic tank so I know in the future. When they were done, they gave me the paperwork for the Fairfax County health department, and a magnet as a reminder when I should schedule the next one. After they left, I inspected where they had laid the hoses, pried up the lid, etc., basically, where they did the work, and you could not tell that they had even been here. Great job, would use again, and would recommend to others with no reservations.

It went well but for a 10-minute job it need not have cost $200.00. I asked for a discount since I was using them from Angie's list. They did not make any adjustment. Shame on them. I will not be using them again.

They appeared in one day and did the job fast. They quoted me one price, and a higher one if more damage had been done and needed to be repaired. They then billed me the lower price, which was a welcome surprise.

They were fine. They did a job and they came on the day they said they were going to come. Everything was good. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience with them.

The service was good. They arrived on the day as planned. The guys forgot to call before performing an extra service that added to the original quoted cost. When they called to let me know that the job was done and I told them I didn't get a call, they didn't charge me for the extra service. Great customer service. I will definitely use them again.

Fantastic! About 150 feet from hard top to the tank opening - no grass or landscape damage, nothing but good service. Will use them again!

They were great. We have used them for many years, even when we needed to do extensive work on the septic field. We would recommend them highly.

Was selling my house and GF Septic was contracted to do the septic cleaning and inspection by my realtor. During the inspection it was noted that the two plastic distribution boxes were cracked and three floats were not operating properly. I was out of town during the inspection and the two workers (who speak limited English) were trying to tell my wife that we needed to get the repairs done now and the cost would be $2,500 for the repairs. My wife felt like she was being pressured to do the work and called me very upset. I told her to ask them to leave and we would get back to them with our response after I called around to a few other vendors. The average price for the three other vendors was approximately $2,000. I called GF and told them what others were charging us, and magically, they were able to reduce the cost to $2,050 which I accepted since they had done the original work. I told the woman that I felt they were trying to fleece the customer who is trying to sell their house. She apologized and said that they would never do that...but the proof was in the original price and the pressure they put on my wife to agree to it on the spot. So they did the work about a week before the closing and left a huge mess in our yard waiting for the health inspector to review and sign off on the work. The inspector came on Friday (house was to close on Wednesday at 2:00 PM). On Monday morning I called them to see when they were coming to refill the hole and clean up the mess in my yard. I was promised they would be there first thing on Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning came and went and I called again on Tuesday afternoon. Was told the workers would be there later that afternoon...as she did not know what happened to the workers. Tuesday afternoon came and went.... So I called first thing on Wednesday morning saying that our closing was later that day and the buyers were doing a walk-through of the property at 12:30. She assured me that I was first on the list. 10:30 no workers...11:30 no workers...12:30 no workers and I had to apologize profusely to the new buyers who wanted to escrow our closing because the work was not finished. This was totally unacceptable and I called again telling the woman that I wanted to speak to the owner. She gave me some story that the owner was working somewhere out of cell phone range...another excuse. I wanted to know what she could do for me since they made promises they did not keep and were never able to finish the work in time for the closing. She said she would have the owner call me back and resolve the issue. I was able to close without escrow (promising that I would follow-up as necessary which was very embarrassing to me to say the least). The workers apparently showed up around 2:30 that afternoon while we were at the closing. I never got a call from the owner at Great Falls septic, but par for the course with the promises they make that never happen. I have waited 3 weeks for the call as I really do not like to write poor reviews...but since I have heard nothing, this was my only way to vent my frustration with this company. I would never recommend this company to anyone. It was bad enough to pressure my wife into paying $500 more than others were charging...but to complete the work, take my money and not complete the job in time for the closing, after promising over and over again they would be there, was totally unacceptable.

Great! A much better experience than with any of the local companies in PWC The team performing the work where always professional and cleaned up after themselves. They were happy to explain what was needed & why

The responsiveness was incredibly fast. They were hear early the next morning. The cost of the septic service, $275 was, I thought, on the high side for a small septic. The additional cost of emptying the sump, which took less than 2 minutes, was another $125. Okay, I can live with those amounts as they were quoted over the phone and they are flat rates. It was clear that I my sump pump was no longer working and would require replacement. I agreed for them to replace it that same afternoon and they were to call back with the cost. They did. It would cost $950. I complained that the cost was very high in view of the fact that the replacement sewage pump, a Zoeller M267, retails for $350. But what could I do? I had no alternative. Even Sears, which sells the same pump, does not install. So two guys came back in the afternoon, spend 43 minutes installing the new pump, and charged me the full $950--$600 more than the cost of the replacement pump. There were no additional materials, although they did take the old pump away. There was no travel fee; their office is less than 4 miles away. Finally, there was no discount for the $412 I gave them that morning to empty the sump and septic tank. As noted at the beginning, they were prompt and they were professional. They were also inexplicably expensive. I would use them in the future only after comparing the cost with other septic services.

We are in the process of selling our home. We had an offer, and a septic inspection was completed by the offering party's septic company. It failed inspection because some parts of our septic system were old and needed to be replaced. Due to us not receiving some paperwork, the deal fell through. So, we wanted to get the septic system repaired as soon as possible in order to put the house back on the market. We have used Great Falls Septic for the full eleven years we were in the house and have always received great service. The previous owner of our house also used Great Falls for the entire time they lived in the house. I contacted Great Falls Septic and advised them of our situation and that we wanted to get the house back on the market, and have an open house, as soon as possible. David Hott of Great Falls Septic came out with the County inspector within a day or two. I was shown the problem with the system, and was quoted a very fair price. Again, within about a day, David's crew arrived on a Friday and replaced a good portion of the system before torrential rain forced them to stop working that day. David and his crew arrived Monday morning after a rainy weekend. They worked all day and got the rest of the job completed. The County inspector came out about two days later and passed the system with flying colors. That very same day, David was able to close up the system, replace the soil over the system, and grade it off. The job could not have gone any smoother. About a day or two later, we held our open house with great success. I would highly recommend Great Falls Septic to anyone for septic pumping and repair.

Great service. Went to Great Falls Septic on recommendation of a neighbor, was very pleased with the experience. Requested they both pump the tank and conduct a full inspection - the two tasks were accomplished by two separate crews, the inspection team following the pumping team. Both teams showed up when expected, separated by only about 30 minutes. All concerned were very courteous and professional. I was concerned with limiting damage to the yard, which both crews made careful effort to avoid. With the use of a hose extension, pump crew was able to pump from the driveway rather than drive onto the lawn, which I appreciated. Both teams also took great care while digging up the septic cover and the distribution box cover, preserving sod and replacing it after the work was done and excavation re-closed, leaving little visible evidence of the work after they were complete. Overall very pleased and would definitely use Great Falls Septic in the future.

He did a good job. Very responsive and he found solutions that other septic tank service providers did not find, it saved me a lot of money in the long run.
