Our home grown company The Contractors Inc. has over 25 years of experience in the craft of kitchen and bathroom cabinet refacing. Cabinet refacing involves replacing cabinets doors, drawer fronts, and molding with a wood or MDF and covering the remaining frames in a matching material in order to give the appearance of a new cabinet. We do NOT perform painting or re-staining, and we can only repair cabinets in the process of a larger refacing project. Our team of experts will ensure your kitchen or bathroom project is completed easily, efficiently, and in adherence with all safety precautions. Kitchen Makeover in your future? Look no further! LONG POST, BUT WELL WORTH YOUR TIME!! We've been in our house since the day it was built 13 years ago and like a lot of you, hadn't done much other than paint every room like 4 times. We recently redid the floors throughout in LVP and realized that now the kitchen was way outdated and looking really tired. We decided to research cabinet refacing companies. We ultimately chose 3 and had them out for quotes. The first 2 were the national guys, Home Depot and Kitchen Savers. We explained what we wanted and they both provided roughly the same exact quote (cabinet refacing, new doors, drawer fronts, drawer boxes with dove-tail joinery, new sink, 3 additional lower cabinets and quartz counter tops). You would have thought that we were doing a remodel to the studs at the price we were quoted! Ridiculous! We were distraught, didn't think we were going to be able to do everything we wanted, but we're only doing this once so we had the 3rd company come out to quote. Tony from The Contractors Inc came out the next day. We gave him the same exact requirements as the other 2 and he put together his quote. Now let me step back a minute. When I say all 3 of these company's provided an "Apples to Apples to Apples" quote, I mean they all showed up with the exact same cabinet door/drawer samples, from the exact same manufacturer - the same one, not similar. Back to Tony … we finished crunching numbers and confirming the details and then he revealed the cost - 40% less than the national guys … 40%!!!!! My wife and I looked at each other, thanked Tony for his time we'd be making a decision soon. As a rule, we don't typically go with the low-ball quote but this was apples to apples and 40% less. We called Tony the next day and signed up. Fast forward to this past Monday. The crew of Diego and Biron arrived at 8:30am each day. They worked tirelessly, they cleaned up after themselves, but above all these 2 fine gentlemen (no joke - good humans) respected our home, our pups and treated our family as though we were their only client. Diego said one day while discussing the job with him "I look at every kitchen I do like it is going into my house". He has been doing this for 16 years and his (and Biron's) craftsmanship shined through. So … after all that, let me say - if you are looking to have your kitchen refaced, I highly recommend The Contractors Inc, and Diego and Biron. We are absolutely astonished at the quality of the finished product. Its like a new house! Exactly what we wanted … but better! Please enjoy the before (honey oak) and after (gorgeous white cabinets and charcoal island cabinets) pics of their craftsmanship Thank you Omar, Tony, Diego, and Biron!!

Contractors Inc just finished refacing my kitchen cabinets and they look fantastic! In fact, they're nicer than I expected! The whole process was great from getting the estimate from Jon to the installation by Bayron. My kitchen is tricky because it's an historic DC building with quirky sizes and fixtures, and it slowed down the process, however no corners were cut and I didn't have to make any compromises. I've gotten used to settling for options I didn't really want thanks to this condo and its oddities, but like I said, it's even better than what I originally wanted. The cabinets are of excellent quality and Bayron's work is impeccable. I highly recommend them!

We own a historic home and our kitchen was in dire need of a remodel. Our kitchen was extremely outdated and we had been putting off a kitchen project for many years. We were so concerned that the process would be incredibly costly and daunting. More recently, we became aware of cabinet re-facing. Since we were happy with the existing kitchen layout and our cabinet boxes were mostly in good shape, we decided to explore this option. We received 3 estimates for the project and The Contractors Inc. was the company we felt most confident would handle our project and they also offered very competitive pricing while offering high quality products. From the moment we were in touch with Tony to discuss our kitchen needs, the process for our kitchen project was flawless. We were able to work with him virtually which was wonderful and he readily responded to all of our many e-mails to answer our questions and amend the proposal as we considered all the various options. We never felt pressured and he was so easy to work with. Tony arranged to have samples of cabinet doors sent to our home, which helped to solidify our decision to go with Shaker-style white cabinets and drawer fronts. All of the cabinets and drawers were soft close, too, which was a standard feature. A huge selection of Quartz countertops was also included in the project proposal, and we were able to visit the countertop vendor’s warehouse (Cosmos Granite and Marble) to select the actual slab for our project. There were so many wonderful choices of either granite, marble, or quartz. We decided on a gorgeous quartz and Cosmos placed the slab on hold for us until the countertop measurements could be completed. There were portions of the kitchen that needed some new additions, such as enclosing the refrigerator with cabinetry, updating some of the worse-for-wear cabinets, and having a custom island built. This was not a standard re-facing project, however, Contractors Inc. was able to do this easily take on this custom work for us. Despite all of the custom add-ons, it was certainly a very fair price and by far a fraction of the cost of what other companies charge for custom cabinetry. They also offer a lifetime warranty on their products which was a bonus. The challenging measuring process was completed by Jeremiah and was carefully thought out. His visit to our home also offered us an opportunity to discuss more of the kitchen design and installation process. Their owner, Omar, was also very reassuring that the project would be completed to our satisfaction and was always quickly available to respond to questions or concerns. Once all the decisions were made, the wait time after we signed the contract was not very long and everything was ready for install a month early. Jeremiah and Byron completed the installation within a week, which was amazing to witness. They were true artisans in regards to their craftsmanship and paid attention to every detail, especially the custom cabinetry work. They were always on time in the morning and worked tirelessly throughout the day and sometimes into the early part of the evening. In addition to the cabinets, they also completed the install of all of the new plumbing, sink, faucet, and dishwasher. Jeremiah also handled a number of other issues that were not expressly part of the project, to ensure that everything was in place and ready to use before they finished. The communication between the Contractors Inc. and Cosmos was excellent. On the day the countertops were installed, they coordinated so well together. The entire crew from Cosmos was so professional and pleasant. On the last day, Rogelio, came out to install the wall tile and he, too, was an expert in his tiling skills. The final project was beyond spectacular and the kitchen looks completely brand-new and fresh! It is now our dream kitchen and we are so happy that we chose this company. The cabinets are so easy to clean and we love the soft-close features of the cabinets and drawers. The custom island they built turned out amazing, too. We highly recommend The Contractors Inc. and can say without reservations that this company will not disappoint!

Very well. From design to installation, Contractors Inc personnel were very professional and did an excellent job upgrading our kitchen. Design: I had a specific design in mind and I worked with Tony to develop a plan. He was very cooperative and was able to translate my initial design into products, reasonable overcall cost, and realistic schedule. Installation: Jeremiah and his installation team were very professional and respectful of my home. They arrived promptly each morning; worked until 5pm and left the construction site (my kitchen) in a very tidy condition. They constructed a new island and buffet as well as installed all of the new cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware. They oversaw the installation of the new quartz countertops. The kitchen now has a much better workflow, more storage, and more square footage (we captured an area which was not in use for the new buffet and floating shelves.) We are extremely happy with Contractors Inc. They accomplished exactly what was planned and then some. I would highly recommend them.

It went extremely well. Jon from The Contractors Inc. was one of 3 representatives we contacted via Angie for comparative estimates. His estimate in November was the best overall value in our minds. Several weeks later, their representative, Jeremiah, came and did all the measurements very carefully. We knew materials would take some time to come in once ordered and we were given an estimated work completion date of April. This in fact came about as promised and work began on April 4 and was complete 43 days later. Jeremiah was back and worked the full four days and was assisted by Amy the last 2 days. Jeremiah was an excellent finished carpenter and worked quickly, but accurately to do things right. He was organized with his tools and equipment, keeping them together and out of our way other than the kitchen area. He cleaned up well at the end of each day. Amy was also a good worker and did a lot of the paint work. We are completely satisfied with the results and are recommending this company to friends looking to do similar work in their home.

The Contractors Inc. did an amazing job on our kitchen cabinets. The whole process was very easy and inexpensive. They were able to provide a quote for us over the phone (no one had to come over and sell you stuff). When they came to install the cabinets the workers were very professional and completed the job in one day less than we thought (quoted to take 3 days but ended up taking 2). They went above and beyond by fixing one of the drawers that was sagging and installed small holders on the sides of the cupboards under the sink. Highly recommended and the whole process was smooth.

Could not be happier with the progress with The Contractors from start to finish. The quote in the beginning was detailed, thoughtful, and in-line with what we expected. We received quotes from 3 other places (both full gut job and refacing) and the Contractors hit the bill on cost, answers to questions, detail of quote and thoughtfulness. John was an excellent resource for my MANY questions on everything from details of installation to composition of cabinetry, etc. The install process was straightforward and Jeremiah cleaned up absolutely everything each day. His attention to detail was impressive. We had a LOT done-refacing on about 30+cabinets, building (from scratch) a new set of custom-sized cabinets to fit in built in wine fridge, new tile, new quartz countertops including a new breakfast bar extending along former knee wall. They even extended existing cabinets and you can't tell at all what was old and what was new. We are incredibly pleased and the kitchen is gorgeous. Any issues (no reno is completely problem free) were handled swiftly and deftly by the owner with open and thorough communication. Would definitely recommend.

The Contractors did an outstanding job and took only three days! We had some special request - glass doors for the shelves of cookbooks, a pullout garbage can, and cutting an opening to create shelves in trapped space under a counter - and they all came out great. I recently used The Contractors Inc to take my existing kitchen cabinets as laid out and rework the faces with a new granite install and sink in addition to refacing bathroom vanity cabinetry. There were some odd jobs tied to this that they also completed at the same price. I was very pleased with the overall handling of my project. The owner, Omar, called me personally on various occasions during planning, execution and at project end to make sure things were running smoothly and that I was happy. The lead on the work, Jeremiah's, was a gem. Very professional, careful and clean with respect to the workspace and my belongings. After an awful experience with a previous vendor, I feel blessed to have found The Contractors Inc. My kitchen looks like new and they completed the work on time and as priced. We're very happy with the work done by The Contractors Inc. Our kitchen cabinet doors had been painted as part of a previous remodeling, but the cabinet door paint cracked due to the uneven expansion/contraction of the wood pieces. We had 3 companies give us estimates for replacing the doors and the fair (though not cheap) price and attitude of the folks from The Contractors made it an easy choice. It took about 10 weeks for the cabinet doors to arrive after they took the measurements and placed our order. This was slightly longer than the estimated 8 weeks but it was also during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Jeremiah and Amy did the installation. They did an outstanding job on the installation. They installed the 18 doors in about 4 hours. There was one door that wouldn't properly close, but Jeremiah must have made about a dozen adjustments to finally get it right. The new doors look great and the paint match to the cabinets was perfect. I highly recommend The Contractors Inc!!!

I couldn’t be happier. They took the image in my head and made it a reality. Everyone I met was professional, responsive and dedicated to doing a great job. Omar, the owner, was responsive to my questions and visited to make sure everything was good; Jon, taking my original order and answering my questions, Ariel with the countertops and finally Diego who worked so painstakingly on my cabinets, backsplash and plumbing. Everything was left clean everyday and even though I know it was a pain to have to travel up and down the elevator with equipment and supplies, they took it all in stride. I am thrilled with the look of my "new" cabinets. By refacing my cabinets I get the look and feel of new at a much cheaper price. They were nice enough to come to my house twice with sample doors so that I was comfortable with my final choice. Once I committed to the project an installer come out and performed measurements. This took less than an hour. The initial estimate for installation was 2 maybe 3 days. It turned out to be 3 full days. The installers were even nice enough to empty some of my cabinets that I overlooked. The workmanship is great, the installation was on my schedule, and the price was very reasonable. I would use The Contractors again.

After several estimates and just not getting a good feeling and ready to give up, we contacted The Contractors Inc. Jon Engel was our salesman and was very thorough, considerate, and made this difficult process mush easier. Jon listened to our needs and helped us make the right decisions. Our refacing, new counter-tops, install back-splash, and associated plumbing/electrical only took three days. The install crew was on time, meticulous and cleaned up everything. Overall, The Contractors Inc. had the best price but had high quality materials and craftsmanship. We could not be more pleased with the entire process. We highly recommend The Contractors Inc.

I had put cabinet refacing in the "cheesy" category, along with recapping tires, but this looks great. 1/4" wood is attached to the sides of the cabinets, and color-matched plastic film is glued to the fronts. The tiny nail holes on the sides are puttied over. Then new, wooden drawer heads and cabinet doors are attached. You can use your old pulls or new ones. Alex and Tulio worked hard and steadily over 4 days to make this happen. In the first photo, you see the veneer attached to the cabinets. The cabinets were originally white and we kept them white. In the second, the long strips of stuff are the film which goes over the original finish on front. The molding on the edges covers seams and tiny nail holes. We thought it would look busy, but it doesn't.

From start to finish, it was a pleasure to work with The Contractors Inc. We wanted to update our existing kitchen. I knew what style/color doors I wanted so the selection process with Jon was simple. He was personable, knowelegable, and professional. And, the quote was beyond reasonable. The process from measuring to installation was smooth. Omar's crew is top-notch. Jeremiah is an absolute craftsman. In addition to refacing, we had a backsplash installed. It's amazing that after only 3-4 days you have a kitchen that looks like new. I'm so pleased with the workmanship and the attention to detail and couldn't be happier with the results.
