Pristine Water Treatment

This is a family-owned and run business. They are courteous and quick to respond. Their equipment (we went with refurbished) has worked wonderfully. We would (and have!) recommended Pristine Water!

I am very impressed with Pristine's water service. 1. They showed up promptly and treated my Mother in Law with respect during the initial consultation. They spoke to me via phone. It included a thorough water evaluation. 2. They gave me time to research my options before committing. Their options were definitely the best. 3. They were very understanding when I had to call at 9-10pm at night before the installation since I was stuck in another city due to airline issues. 4. The estimated time to install the system was accurate. The technician did a complete, thorough job removing the old filter, installing the new filter, insuring all plumbing was ok and the system was running ok. He performed a chorine shock of my hot water heaters and they drained the heaters to ensure that my smell problem was completely removed. 5. Another gentlemen came about 1 week later to ensure the system working properly. They tested the water. 6. The new water filtration system is saving me $80/month in Water softener salt. :) My water is now better than Facquier County provided water. I am very satisfied and happy customer. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Pristine Water was extremely responsive and very flexible with our difficult schedules. They were able to quickly schedule a time to come and provide an estimate. Due to our unique configuration of our house, Pristine was able to design a setup that would allow installation that would otherwise be unavailable to us. For our installation day, they were right on time (early in fact), and completed the work on time. Two weeks later we found a small leak in one of the joints (typical for any plumbing installation), and they were at our house within the hour to repair the problem. Extremely responsive, professional, honest. Recommend to anyone.

This is a follow-up review of Pristine Water. We had purchased two refurbished systems from Pristine to address different issues with our water. The water softener works flawlessly. However, the system which handled taking out rust and odor did not completely eliminate the problem, though it was certainly a significant improvement. After trying different approaches to see if we could improve the performance, Roy ultimately decided it best to replace the system, which he did at no cost to us. I was extremely pleased that Roy not only honored the warranty, but went out of his way to ensure our satisfaction. There are a good number of plumbers and water treatment companies available, but I would not consider going anywhere else, and would highly recommend Pristine to friends. It is refreshing to work with people who understand the value of good customer service, and provide an excellent value. We could not be more pleased.

I don't want to bad mouth any companies because I know how that can affect your business. That's why I do not want to mention the other companies name who installed and serviced my whole house water treatment system for 15 years. That being said I wanted a second opinion because they told me my system was outdated and they do not make parts for it anymore and I needed a new system for $5000. Pristine's guy came out and showed me that they had actually disconnected some of the power sources to some of my equipment!!! I was shocked because I had used them for so long. I read a review on google about Pristine being honest and not ripping a guy off when he could have been. That's why I chose them for a second opinion. Turns out I new I had issues with my system and they have the parts to repair that. So it will cost me $2100 which is better to me than a new system. They will be out next week to do the work. These guys are honest and that's all you want when you get a repair. Don't know if they're cheaper but I don't care they are honest.What a fresh company to deal with in the DC area because alot of rip off's out there.

From the initial testing of my water (quite acidic) to the installation of the water neutralizer I received outstanding service. Everyone that I spoke with was very courteous. If they didn't know an answer they promised to call back within 10-30 minutes - they ALWAYS did! Jared, the gentleman who came out to test my water was polite, knowledgable, and very personable. Michelle who answered many questions and arranged the installation was extremely nice and professional. Roy and his assistant (so sorry I forgot the gentleman's name) were fantastic. The installation went smoothly and the unit is working perfectly. I had a small issue with a lingering smell of plumbing glue in the water lines but Roy talked me through how to properly clear the lines and all is well. I f you want a professional, courteous service at a fair price (I shopped around and their pricing is very competitive) then you can't go wrong with Pristine Water Treatment!

Roy and Michelle were great to work with! They were very responsive, knowledgeable, and courteous - great customer service you don't often see these days. We got quotes from a few companies, and while the Pristine quote wasn't the lowest, we decided to use them because I really got a sense I could trust them to do the job right - and they did. Will definitely recommend them to others.

Pristine Water is a great company. The current owners, brother and sister, Michelle and Roy Hagar, are continuing the business their dad started. I can only tell you that we are so grateful we contacted them. We were not sure that they would service Manassas since they are in Stafford, but indeed they do. We needed a water filtration system on our old home to protect our pipes and we also wanted a drinking water filter. BY FAR, their estimates beat their competition. They clearly showed us ways to save money and were gracious and responsive to our calls. Rather than pay for a new system, we saved money buying a refurbished one that was available. We did a lot of research before deciding on a company and a system and Pristine gave us the best of what we wanted and stood up to all our research. One more thing, we had an unrelated water link under our sink. Michelle told me that if we needed to have our cabinets taken out, that they would reinstall the under-sink water filter at no additional charge. This gives you an idea of how committed this company is to giving true service. They have a simple desire to be virtuous and to serve everyone fairly. We never met these people before, and we have no interest in their company. So I can say with complete honesty and enthusiasm that this is the company you want to go to for all your water needs. Like most houses in the DC area, we suffered from hard water. This problem became an ordeal when it came to washing hair. As the only man in the house...and bald...I didn't realize there was a problem until my Wife educated me on it. I also noticed her hair was mangled, and unmanageable. I started an extensive google search for water softening solutions, and to make a long story short, Angie's List showed Prisitine Water as one of the contact options. I contacted them. Pristine Water is a small, family run business. They are very personal, and friendly. Most importantly, they can explain the water softening process without sounding like a salesman. I placed an order right away and a few days later, we were ready for install. I ordered the super duper water softening system. They tested my water, and the grain level was 8 (which is not good). The install was very quick considering the unit that was put it. The unit was installed perfectly, in a great spot in the corner next to my washer dryer unit. It takes a couple washed of laundry, and showers for the softening unit to cycle out all the bad water. The water filter was installed underneath my kitchen sink and it took a few minutes for install. After a week, I would pay for the service all over again. This softening system works awesome, and most importantly, my Wife is super happy with her hair and water. I even notice the water being more slippery when I shower, which I guess is a good thing. The drinking water filter removes all the bacteria (the brita and other filters only removes chemicals and minerals) and the water tastes awesome. It's nice to not deal with bottled water. Both units are worth while long term investments. Also, you save money in the long run by removing all the bad stuff that ruin pipes and drains and sinks. I've had no issues with the unit. No leaks. And maintenance is every several months, where you fill the tank with more salt. I'm very impressed with Pristine Water, and there service. Roy solved the problem very quickly and saved me money in the process, all for the price of a service call. We are installing a new water treatment system at a home we are building and plan to use Pristine for a long time.

They were very professional and patient with me. We had an initial appointment to install the system, but I failed to let them know that we decided to change the location that our acid neutralizer would be installed. My oversight resulted in them having to come back on another day with different tools/parts. They were more than willing to reschedule and did not make a big deal out of it, even though it was a long drive for them. Roy is very knowledgeable and breaks things down into terms that a layman would understand. I also liked that they offered me a refurbished system for much less than the new ones. Overall, I was very happy with them and will be using them for maintenance on my system.

The service owner arrived exactly on time. He explained what he was doing and why. Walked me through the scheduling process for when the water would be treated. Cleaned up after he was finished. Courteous and knowledgeable. As good an experience getting one's water treatment system serviced as could be expected.

I live in a home with 24-year-old polybutylene plumbing -- the "nightmare" plastic plumbing. Unfortunately our first burst pipe occurred 1 year AFTER the class action suit regarding the PB Piping was closed, so we were not able to have our house re-plumbed. About a month ago, we had another pipe burst...with all the resultant flooding that comes with it. The plumber who did the repair recommended that we get a water filtration system to help remove the high chlorine content of the water in our municipal system....he said that it is the chlorine that contributes to the hardening of the PB pipe, thus causing it to burst. Although the filtration system could not reverse the current damage, he said it could slow down further erosion. He gave us a quote for the filtration system, which we felt was quite high. I did further research on filtration systems and contacted several other plumbers and filtration suppliers....one of which was Pristine. PRISTINE STOOD OUT ABOVE ALL THE OTHERS. The company is owned/operated by a brother and sister who 'inherited' the business from their father. I received an email response from Michelle less than an hour after my initial email to the company. She gave me information that was easy to understand, made perfect sense, and provided me with a suggestion and an estimate. When I told Michelle that the new system sounded great but the cost was over our budget, she offered a refurbished unit for less than half the price, but had a 5-year guarantee, which was perfect for the amount of time we plan to remain in the home. We decided to purchase the refurbished unit. 'Roy, Michelle's brother, came out to do the install yesterday. The unit is compact, sturdy, "attractive" compared to so many other units I looked at, and Roy was a delight. The installation was efficient, professional and guaranteed. I know it will add value to the home when we go to resell. We're certainly hoping it will slow down the erosion of the PB piping but, in the meantime, my skin feels so much better WITHOUT the chlorine, and I'm sure we'll save $$$$ not having to buy so much bottled water. I'm delighted we went with Pristine and the water filtration system MIchelle recommended. They service what they sell, and I know they'll be around for many years to come. They are sincerely devoted to maintaining an excellent reputation and they do it! Thank you so much, Michelle and Roy!!

Wanted a second opinion and these guys were great. Brother/sister business that is top notch in my opinion. I will be calling them back when needed. Wouldn't go with anyone else at this point.

They keep us up to date on the current systems available but also let us know the value of our existing systems and what needs to be upgraded and what can still utilized for the best value. The owners have "grown up" in the industry as children of an expert in the field and truly know the business inside and out.

My filtration system has not been working properly and I could not get any response from the manufacturer about who to call for service. I found Pristine Water on Angie's List and called them since they advertised servicing all brands. The customer service was great from the first phone call. I explained my problem and had an appointment set up with no issues. They even took the time to explain the history of the company and the services they provide. One of the best things I like about Pristine Water is its a family owned business near my home. I always try to use local businesses. The service was exceptional. Roy was here within the time promised and explained everything that he was going to do. He informed my my system was installed incorrectly which I did not know and he knew exactly what was going on. Unfortunately it could not be repaired but I did receive a quote for a new filtration system which included the cost of install. I could not be happier with the time Roy took to explain what was wrong and he turned off our broken system. I will be ordering a new filtration system from Pristine Water later this year.

All the people at Pristine are very courteous and do their best to accommodate your schedule. I was given three estimates to see what best suited my family's needs and they worked around our circumstances to ensure the best job was done. Roy was extremely knowledgable and honest about what was needed and what could be done to help with cost. Tremendous service that I would recommend time and again!

They do a great job. I have been using them for 28 years. They are very nice and conscientious. Roy, is the one I have had do work for me and he has been really really helpful. He helped me to choose the most effective, least costly stop gap while I saved up to have the actual work done. They are also very good about helping me to get the most discounts possible and save me as much money as they could. I would recommend them very highly.
