Our cherry tree looks fantastic—beautifully shaped now and trimmed away from touching our house and power lines. The crew cleaned up afterwards so nicely—not a leaf or twig left anywhere. Our front yard looks the best ever. These pros are the best!!

First class work from start to finish. An Arborist made the initial assessment of the work to be done and provided an estimate on the spot. The Arborist came on the day of the actual work to guide the foreman (Will) on the work to be accomplished. Will and his crew were exceptional at everything they did. Will kept me informed and made sure I was getting what I anticipated. The end product was excellent shaping of the trees, removal of the sucker and deadwood. Yard clean up was as professional, or better, than a landscaping service. I will continue to use them approximately every three years. They are a bit more expensive, but they know what they are doing with a professional Arborist directing the work to be done.

PRETTY BAD - DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS 1. Had to call twice to get an update on whether the guy is going to show up on time 2. The appointment was at 9:00 AM. The guy calls and tells me he is stuck in traffic and will be there in 20 min (This is at 9:00). Finally shows up at 9:45/10:00 AM (Full of **** and bull stories that there was an accident - Blah Blah Blah). 3. Sent an estimate ($900) that is ridiculous, ludicrous, Stupid and absolutely unreal. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS FOR SURE

We contacted three tree services to get estimates for the damaged tree in our yard; we chose SavATree of Sterling VA., (formerly called Thrive) based on great recommendations from some neighbors. We were impressed with their speedy reply and professional evaluation of what needed to be done, both to clean up the large trunks of tree in the yard and to save the remaining portion of the tree, which provides much needed shade for our back porch. They were able to schedule our job for 6 working days later, amazing considering how much damage the storm had done all over the area! The three man crew had our entire job finished by lunchtime, and they did a very complete clean up of all the debris, as well as repairing the jagged pieces left when the tree lost some large branches. SavATree of Sterling will be our tree service from now on! Thanks Brian, Capree, Daniel, and crew!

The representative came last year and quoted me a price. I told him that I could not afford his price. Then he said that in the winter he would cut down the tree for $256 since it would be work in off season. I received a call from him saying he wanted to come cut the tree down the next day for $215- not giving me even a day warning. I like to be home when someone is doing that type of work so I did not agree. I sent him an email a week later saying I was ready for the tree to be cut down as I needed the week to find a tree stump grinder to finish the job for his and another tree Pepco cut down. He missed the date he was supposed to come out to cut the tree down because he was helping other people with trees from the wind storm. I tell him that is fine as mine is not an emergency but I say come whenever but let me know when you are coming. Then then sends his crew to my house without giving me notice to cut down the tree. Luckily I was home that day. They cut the tree down to the top of the mulch pile which is about 10 inches high around the tree instead of pushing the mulch away and cutting it lower. They did do a great job cleaning up the small branches that fell in the yard. Then he charges me $413. So much for the $256 price he told me in the fall. He was not a very pleasant person to work with over the email last year when I told him I had to use someone else to do some jobs. I am a senior woman, have no kids or husband, live alone, and am not employed. I could have given the job to some one else but since he came out and gave me advice on my trees I decided to give him the job thinking it would have been $256. In his email he basically said he gets frustrated when he comes out to talk with someone about their yard and they decide to go with someone else. I understand and I apologized but I do not have a lot of money and I have to shop around like everyone else to get the best price for my needs. My nice neighbors offered to steer me to someone I could afford for the other things I needed done.

All went great, I had Keith L. and from the start he was phenomenal. He was very professional, knew lots about trees, he was able to give some really good advice and pointers and was very punctual. He provided a quote on trimming a pine tree that had never been trimmed before. The tree grew out of control and it needed a good "haircut". The workers came on time, they did the work, they cleaned up the area when all was completed. Overall, the tree looked great! The pine tree kept bleeding tree sap for quite a bit but at some point it stopped. Thanks Keith for everything!

The pruning and treatment took place on separate days, but both services were excellent. The arborist that provided the treatment was very knowledgeable and left me feeling confident that the tree could be saved.

I have used them for 8, 9, 10 years. On price, it is a fair price for good work. I have a lot of work done, and they do some work on my grass as well.

They did an excellent job, and cleaned all the debris. Very friendly and professional. They also provided advice on other trees

They did a great job, they were prompt and pruned the tree adequately but without it looking too weird once they were done.

I had used the company several times, and had some billing confusion after they damaged my house while taking a tree down. Without being notified in advanced, I received an insulting letter that an outstanding balance was being sent to collections. I paid the bill and terminated the relationship. Just too many quality alternatives to be treated so poorly. Pity because the arborist was a pleasant and knowledgeable fellow.

They did good and the cleanup was neat.

They were good. They snuck in and did the work and left an invoice in my box. They come out two times a year. I think the pricing was fair for two treatments. It looks like what they did works, it's hard to see right now. They were right on time, just as they said. The interaction with the service provider was excellent.

They send out an arobroist. Arobroist are expensive, it cost a lot of money, I think they are $250 an hour. If you use Save A Tree they have an aroborist who comes to your house and then makes recommendations. I think they try to up-sell you. They did manage to save the one tree in the front. My children will have to eventually sell this house and I want it to look good and curb appeal is everything. When you have trouble with a tree and their aroborist comes out you feel you are getting professional advice. Your'e not only paying for the service but your are getting advice from a professional who is very knowledgeable. His name is Keith, he is very professional, punctual. He will come out if you have concerns and there is no cost for those kinds of visits. This visit was free, they have been feeding this tree trying to keep it alive. Keith is very knowledgeable, I can ask him about other things. They ground a stump to so that I could have another tree put in. They do trimming for me. I've been with them for a couple years now. Their pricey, but you're getting an aroborist in addition. To me it's worth it to have an expert give you good solid advice and that it's all rolled into the price. You're getting advice from a professional. I've been with them since April 2015. Keith responds immediately, no problems. He has not failed me yet. He's very punctual, if he says he will be there, he will be there. I've been extremely happy with the service. I will be with them as long as I can afford it. It is expensive keeping up a home. I consider these essential costs.

Brian Hulse, an arborist with sav-a-tree checked out all my trees. Five were either dead or on their way. Several others needed some treatment. Brian recommended removal of the five trees and also recommended that the healthy trees get an ArborKelp treatment to maintain their fitness. Sav-a-tree came out within a few days and removed the bad trees and also treated the remaining trees. They did a great job and I am very pleased with the work.
