Overall a very professional job.

I submitted a request for appointment through the company's website on a Thursday. I received no response, so I sent an email via Angie's List on Friday. I received no response, so I called the company on Tuesday. I spoke with someone who confirmed that they had received my emailed messages, but they had been very busy. She apologized for the delay, and assured me that I would receive a phone call that day. I have not received response of any kind - it has been two weeks since that phone call.

I was referred to Ryan by a friend.  When I contacted him he answered the phone right away.  For the first job he gave me an estimate over the phone that I thought was really low for the work.  He and his guys showed up on time and were very efficient.  I only expected them to cut and remove the bush and tree.  They not only removed them but also dug out the stumps and roots for no charge over the estimate!  He and his guys were very quick and efficient.  After adding a fence to my house I called Ryan again to help plan my back yard.  He came over and helped me design an easy to take care of back yard.  Again his guys showed up on time and worked fast.  His foreman, Joe was great.  They removed old sod weeds and dirt, laid down weed barrier, and put down mulch and gravel.  My back yard looks awesome and is ready for the dog I am adopting soon. 
Ryan is on time, honest, does a great job, and the price was a great deal.  He has a customer and referral for life.

This is the third time that Ryan and his crew have done landscaping/yard maintenance work for me.  His price is very competitive and he has had great ideas for my yard at an affordable price.  I would certainly recommend him.

They did all the landscaping the first few days.  Then they worked on installing the new patio.  They finished off with grass seed and filling in some plants as needed.
The crew was respectful and worked hard each day.  Ryan was flexible and easy to work with in making decisions.  I would highly recommend their services.

It didn't seem like they laid the grass properly as only some of it is coming in so far.  The mulch that they laid has weeds coming through already, so I need them to come fix that.  They were reluctant to resolve the issue with the mulch.  It seems he was just trying to get more business to come out periodically for some weeding.  All I wanted to do was just get the mulch laid down to control the weeds.  After all of this, I have been trying to have them do follow up on work they did and I just kept getting pushed back time-wise.  They were supposed to come back on July 2nd to resolve some of the problems with their work, which was already a delay of about 4 weeks.  When they didn't show up on July 2nd I called them and he informed me he couldn't do it then and would need to come out Thursday or Friday of that week.  I still never heard from them on either of these days and called them again.  They informed me they would be here Monday, July 9th.  I waited around all day and still they never showed up.  I decided not to call them until July 10th, and when I did, he answered the phone and said he would call me right back.  It was interesting because I tried calling from my home phone a lot and kept getting their voicemail, but when I called from my cell phone they picked up right away.  Then they realized who I was and put me off further.  I have talked to both Ryan and his secretary several times and neither of them seemed like they wanted to speak with me. Ryan finally refused to resolve the issue with me. He said he did not want to deal with me anymore.

Dealing with Ryan's Landscaping was smooth, easy and efficient.  I phoned, and within a day or two Ryan called back.  That evening he was at the house to give me a free estimate.  I scheduled the work the following week.
Ryan and his crew arrived on time, performed the work as promised, and left everything neat.   The crew members were all very friendly and great at their job(s).  
There were absolutely no problems.

They are wonderful.  They are reasonable priced and do a nice job.  The yard always looks good.

Ryan estimated the job several weeks beforehand and gave me a very competitive bid.  We had a couple of "false starts" due to weather delays and my planned vacation to Hawaii, so the installation date had to moved back about about three weeks, which was fine with me. 
The day of the installation, I stuck around for part of the morning, then went to work.  I got a call about 6:00 pm at work from Ryan that my job was complete, except he said that I didn't have enough of the same kind of brick to finish the border around the back lawn that had been started.  I rushed home and determined there were enough bricks, of a slightly different type, to finish the job, so I asked the one remaining installer to finish using the existing brick.  He got on the phone, got the OK from Ryan, then called back his crew and finshed the job about a half-hour later.
I'm thrilled with the way the job turned out.  My lawn and brick work look great, thanks to Ryan's Landscaping.

The crew arrived when they said they would, did a wonderful job, and cleaned up thoroughly. I couldn't be happier and will not only use them again but will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.

Ryan's Landscaping is nothing short of the best!  They were very responsive and helpful and were precisely on time for every appointment.  Joe managed my project, and he carefully assessed my landscaping interests and designed my project on our first appointment--he also provided some great ideas/pictures for scope and plants.  He additionally supplied some excellent recommendations on how to maximize use of existing plants to keep costs down.  I really appreciate walking away from our initial meeting knowing what my project would look like, exactly what it would cost, and when Ryan's Landscaping could perform the work.  The week before the work was to be done Ryan called to verify the project, and he even coordinated directly with another company I had coming in a week later to install a sprinker system so the projects would be complementary.  On the day my landscaping project was to start, Joe and the crew showed up on time and proceeded to do a fantastic job.  They fulfilled my contract well beyond my expectations, including doing some additional trimming and mulching so the overall effect was superb.  I am impressed with the professionalism, expertise, and reliability of Ryan's Landscaping and their team....am now a life-long customer.

Great experience

Ryan's gave me the most reasonable estimate of the three that I got. The crew showed up on time and did a very thorough and professional job. My only comment is that the job was scheduled for Friday, but we had rain on Thursday. They had to reschedule the work; but noone had showed up by an hour and a half after they were supposed to be there. I called and got a call back about the delay. A bit annoying, but the work was done very well for a good price. Just a minor hiccup.

I was very happy with him.  The job was done quickly and he got it all done in one day.  I was happy with everything.  He did good work at a good price.  It was a good value.  I will use him again in the future if I need to.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the service or price. I requested a quote and set up an appointment for 3/31/2012 and received a call one hour before the appointment notifying me that they had to cancel and reschedule. Things happen and that wasn't a big deal. The appointment was rescheduled for the following Saturday. That next Saturday they were a no show without a call. I made a follow up call and sent an email via their web site and after 5 days have not heard back.

I called Ryan for an estimate - he came out about two days later - and we walked the garden.  I had been told over the winter that a tree was dead and another was ready to fall over, Ryan confirmed the dead tree.  I had asked Ryan to assist me with a mosquitoe problem we continuously experience.  The previous tree removal folks had left the stumps, Ryan suggested w remove the stumps along with the tree and clear out the ivy, as the tree removal would add sunlight, the ivy removal would help take out some of the dark spots the mosquitoes have loved.

Three of our fence posts had rotted away (only 7 years old) and Ryan immediately knew how to repair it - and explained to me how the fence builder allowed the wood totouch the dirt, hence causing a place for the wood to rot.  This is exactly what happened, and then with the electrical company "jumping the fence" this past winter - it was hanging on by a thread.

The garden looks great - it was all done in one day, the crew was here, cleaned up after themselves, and were professional.

I was really pleased with their work.  I would definitely recommend them.

Ryan always provides excellent service. He shows up with a full crew (several trucks of workers, who get to work like a tornado, and before we know it our yard is transformed!

Ryan was very quick to respond to my request for an estimate and came out to look at the job area within a few days.  He was very agreeable to negotiating a price for the job.  The crew arrived on time on the requested day and completed all work within one day.  The wooden steps and sod look great!

Everything looked great afterwards!!  I was very pleased with their service.  It was on time, quick, and as promised.  Ryan came to give me a quote on a weekend, which I appreciated he worked with my schedule to stop by on a weekend.  I was able to schedule the work to be done pretty quickly.  I would definitely use Ryan's Landscaping again.

They quoted me about $1200 to $1500.  The quote process was horrible.  They were horrible.  The guy came out and I think it was Ryan himself.  He came out very rushed and spent very little time with me.  After I told him that I wanted more of a budget work to be completed, he didn’t bring a lot of ideas.  He was turned off as soon as I started telling him that I wanted to work with the budget that I had.  He was very unprofessional.  He finally told me that he was going to email me an estimate and he never did that.  I will not use his services again in the future.

Arrived on the days they scheduled. Some rain days had to reschedule but communication was good.
The first pallet of sod looked really fresh.
Ran out of sod. The second batch not as fresh which worried me but a month later it looks ok.
Did extra work by trimming some bushes and trees in area to be mulched.
Ryan was responsive to emails of questions I had about caring for sod.
I would have liked them to tell me how to care for it instead of researching on internet and then asking.
I think I overwatered at times in the fall by mistakenly following internet instructions for summer?
No warranty for sod but one month later it looks like it has taken hold.

I did a lot of research on landscaping companies and got several estimates.  Ryan's Landscaping offered the most services for the best price.  I told Ryan what I wanted and he made several suggestions which were great.  He showed me photos of what things would look like.  He was very professional.  He and his crew showed up when they said they would.  Ryan had enough workers to do everything in one day.  The result was fantastic.  They cleaned up very well before they left.  Ryan also seeded and aerated my lawn, which had been looking terrible, in spite of a lawn service.  My lawn is  now looking better than ever!  One of my neighbors liked what he saw and also contracted him to do some work for him.  I highly recommend him.

Once again...another Angie's List provider knocked it out of the park with outstanding product and service!

After reading reviews and researching several landscaping companies, I selected Ryan's Landscaping due to the positive feedback as well as the information that was on the company's website. From the initial call until the last worker left, the experience was a positive one.

I left my contact information with Christine, who said Ryan would call me. He did within a couple of hours and we talked briefly about the project. We set up a date/time for him to come out and give an estimate and he arrived as promised. My husband and I had a pretty good idea of what we wanted and based on that, Ryan was able to recommend species of trees and grasses that would help us achieve the look we were going for. He also saved us money by suggesting that we rework the existing laurel bushes, which we appreciated.

After we came up with a plan, the work was schedule for Friday, November 4, but due to equipment problems (stump grinder broke down), the work had to be rescheduled. Christine called to inform me of this and was very apologetic and said that the work would be completed the following Monday.

As promised, the work was completed today. Ryan and his team showed up promptly at 8AM and worked quickly and efficiently. In addition to the work in the proposal, we had one extra mum left over, which they were nice enough to pot for us. We also had a small pine and an extra laurel bush that were removed from the front beds and they relocated those for us as well.

The whole crew did a great job and really paid attention to detail. The only way to describe the quality of work they did is to say that they landscaped it like it was their own yard.

We will DEFINITELY use Ryan's Landscaping again when we're ready to take on our back yard :)

Ryan and his crew are amazing! Ryan's suggestions on landscaping my 1/2 acre yard were exactly what I was looking for. Now I am the envy of the neighborhood! Thanks again Ryan, for exceeding my expectations.
