Great! Jon was responsive, knowledgeable, and competent. I would have hired him to work on my house but he is not licensed in Arlington.

He was wonderful. He can look at anything and figure out how to fix it. I didn't have to give him a lot of details or instruction so he really knows his craft. The fact that he has a broad range of skills was very impressive.

Jon is a true professional and always does quality work.  He is very responsive and easy to contact for scheduling or if I have questions along the way. As I own rental property, repairs can quickly add up and there's always one issue or another that needs to be fixed. Installation of the bathroom faucet was done efficiently and Jon cleaned up perfectly. He further recommended a plumbing firm to take care of the problem with my outdoor spigot, and texted me when he saw an Angie's List deal which he thought fit my needs. So thoughtful! Jon's a eeliable technician and a great guy.

Mr. Evans responded to our request for three separate bids each within one week and completed our list of projects quickly, doing an excellent job.  He costed out options for some of the fixes, so that we could make informed decisions.  He is very competent and professional and we will definitely go to him for future projects.

I decided to call Jon to come take a look at a problem toilet that had a clog in it that I just couldn't plunge away.  He came out on short notice and snaked it without any trouble, all for a reasonable fee.  I've used Jon before for odd-jobs around the house, like hanging curtain rods, and would go to him for most other jobs initially before paying more for a specialist.  He was friendly, professional, and does things for a reasonable rate. 

It went very well, as usual - - I have used Jon's services for several years, and he never fails to amaze me with regard to his knowledge of virtually every handyman job, plus his professionalism and courtesy.  Jon's prices are reasonable, and his honesty and integrity are second to none.

Jon was great. He did everything on our list very well at a reasonable price. He was a pleasure to work with.  He got in touch with us immediately after we inquired and arranged a time to go over our list and a day to do the job that was convenient for us and within a week of contacting him.



We thought we would have to have him build a new gate, but he was able to repair it, saving us a lot of money.  He tracked down an obscure part needed to re-install our window screen.  The caulking in the bathroom is perfect.  Everything he did is perfect.

Thanks to Jon for doing a great job and eliminating our long standing list the house problems. 

I called a few contractors I saw on Angie's list on Tuesday, 4 August 2015, stating I needed an bathroom electrical switch replaced as soon as possible (preferably the next day).  Jon and one other contractor responded to my call.  The other contractor said he could do the work the following day and would call me back later in the evening to setup a time for the appt.  Jon was away but told me he would be back on Thursday and I asked him to call me just in case I didn't find anyone.  The other contractor never called to schedule the appt, and Jon, true to his word, called me the next day and we setup an appt for Thursday the 6th.  Jon was prompt, professional, completed the work as described.  I would definitely hire  Jon again for future projects.

It went great!  I called Jon to see when he could repair the toilet; it turned out that he was between appointments, and was able to come over within the hour.  Jon went to work immediately, and had the toilet fixed in a short time.
Jon has "saved the day" many times over the years; he is a total professional, who is so knowledgeable about virtually everything concerning home maintenance/repair.  His prices are reasonable, and he is completely trustworthy.  If you're looking for an excellent home repair expert, call Jon.

Jon doesn't cut corners and takes pride in his work. His rates are reasonable and he is punctual and professional.  I have rental properties and will continue to use Jon for all my handyman repair needs.

UPDATE: Jon continues to impress with his responsiveness, attention to detail, and delivering professional work at reasonable rates. He will continue to be my go-to handyman. As a woman, I frequently encounter situations when I'm given ridiculous estimates for work by contractors and Jon impressed me from the very beginning by giving a fair estimate for work needed. Honesty and integrity are qualities that aren't easy to come by these days.  I highly recommend him.

My vents needed to have insulation replaced and taped as the condensation from the air conditioning was leaking into the ceiling tiles and stainging them in my den located in the basement. There is a lot of humidity in the basement and it did not help the situation.  Jon knew what to do when he saw it and got busy replacing it and securing the loose insulation with metallic tape.  Previous owner held it together with duct tape that had rotted over the years.   Jon came and completed the job in about 90 minutes.He did an excellent job!  Strongly recommend him!

Jon was a consummate  professional in every way.  We didn't have a handyman, and we asked our friends who did not either.  Consulted Angie's List, and by far, Jon was the most responsive.  He was communicative, professional, immaculate and expedient.  He did not waste time, but performed everything asked of him in an efficient an thorough manner.  We will call on him from now...no doubt about it.  I almost hate to give him such glowing reviews because I am afraid he will get super busy with new customers.  But, honestly, he was everything you could ask for.  If you need an honest, down to earth pro to handle a myriad of repairs/improvements in your home -- look no further.

Excellent as always.  Jon's work is the best quality and he is always on time and professionall  I can't say enough good things about Jon and his work.

The sink/vanity install included replacing the old pipes coming out of the wall. The drywall repair was to patch a hole of roughly 5 feet square that had been cut when a plumber repaired a leak in our kitchen sink (see my review for Able pluming on that one.) John did a great job on both repairs, showed up exactly when he said he would and the cost was very reasonable. I believe my wife said he charges by the hour, like $45 or so, which is very reasonable, given level of skill. And he seems to be very versatile in types of jobs he can do (not all handymen are!).  

He also did a fence repair for us in December. Replaced maybe a dozen planks in our wooden fence for about $140, if memory serves. Again, a top-quality job. Highly recommended, based on these three jobs.

Bottom line up front: Jon is attentive to detail, takes pride in his work, and charges exceptionally reasonable rates.  Though this was a small job by comparison, I have already asked him to quote for some more extensive work at my house.

Jon is reliable and punctual. His work is of excellent quality. Everything he fixes stays fixed and he's good at making suggestions for keeping a household running efficiently. Jon brings his own tools and leaves the work area spotless. He works efficiently and is usually available within 24-72 hours of your phone call. I highly recommend Jon Evans.
