Capital Discount Window & Glass Repair

It went fine. It was prompt and they did what they said they would do. They delivered what they promised.

I had a window where the top portion had fallen down a quarter of an inch or so on one side leaving a gap at the top. The window also would not stay open the whole way when I opened it. I called up Capital Window in the early afternoon and they came within a few hours to fix it.  He showed up and fixed both issues relatively quickly, the window is working fine now. I would highly recommend Capital Window if you need anything at all with windows fixed!

It was good. He came very quickly after I called. He fixed the window in very quick time and cleaned up after himself. So, the owner is pleased with the service. His estimate was much lower somebody else that I had called.

I had an excellent experience with Najim, who replaced the broken outer pane of a double paned window to our attic on the front of our rowhouse (an approx. 12" x 24" window).  Najim was able to come out the same day I called and surveyed the window and gave me an estimate for the repair.  There were a couple things that made it a tricky repair, in that the attic space is inaccessible from the inside of the house so the window had to be replaced from the outside, requiring the work to be done fairly high up on a ladder on a cold day (it sounded like it may have been a less expensive repair had it been easier to access).  We scheduled the repair itself for the following day (I believe he would have been able to do the repair the same day, but the weather that day made it not very safe to work outside on a ladder). The next morning he arrived on time and was able to complete the repair within about an hour.  The quality of the work appeared solid, and he explained how he was able to make a small improvement to how the window frame was mounted.  He was clean with his work and careful not to track snow into the house.  The final cost was the same as his original estimate.  It has been a couple weeks of wind and rain since, and the repair seems to be holding nicely.

While several other reputable companies on Angie's List quoted me $110 or much, much more for repair, Najim did the job for $50 per window. His price and speed was so good then I asked him to do 20% more than I had originally planned. His work was excellent, quick, and I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I used Najim to repair the seal of four windows that had fogged up. He was very responsive, the windows look great and he beat a quoted price by a competitor. I like that there was no "minimum" cost or amount of work like some other window companies have. 

The technician arrived early and took measurements of the door's glass. He also examined the sticking window, and gave me an estimate of $450, which seemed fair. This included a special-size double-pane replacement glass and $40 to "repair" the sticking window. He then removed the outer glass panel that had been broken and lubricated the sticking window.



The following week, after the new window glass had been manufactured, he showed up and replaced the double-pane glass. He lubricated the sticking window some more, but it still doesn't work properly because of the distorted window frame.



He was competent and cleaned up after the job. The new window pane fits perfectly, but the outside caulking of the window pane was done roughly. On close examination it does not look neat and I am a little concerned about possible water getting in. I will probably redo the caulking myself since that did not seem to be his strong point. The lubrication of the sticking window helped to get it closed, but the window will eventually need to be replaced.

They gave me a decent price for a relatively high quality product. They explained it well to me and I was hesitating between 2 providers and the one was a little bit pushy. I cancelled that contract and I decided to go with them. I asked them for the maximum price and they did and so I went with them. They came fairly quickly and they did the job well and I think its quality product.

Very well.  All work completed as promised, on time, great price, great result.

I was stressing because our cat likes to run outside and with the window broken I would basically have to sit there all day chasing her away.  They arrived super fast and fixed the window much faster than I expected and the price was very reasonable.

I unfortunately had my house broken into and needed an immediate window repair to secure my house. They were very helpful and arranged to be at my house about an hour after I called. Najim was wonderful to work with and recommended options to further secure our windows. He even explained that the windows were installed incorrectly, something our house inspector never picked up on. He cleaned up some of the broken glass that was still inside and outside of the window so that we wouldn't try to do it and cut ourselves. They responded to us so quickly and politely and were amazing to work with. I would certainly recommend them for an window needs you have.

The kitchen window wouldn't close - a temperature and a security problem.  I called Capital Windows in the morning and Najim came around in the afternoon.  He fixed it within about 3 minutes.  I also showed him another window with a broken plastic fitting, which I had been attempting to get repaired over a long period of time.  He located the piece and returned within 3 days  to complete the job.  Coincidentally I had just had an estimate for this replacement for approximately two and a half times what I paid Capital windows. The first job was $50 and the second $75.

My husband shattered the outer pane of our sliding glass door while mowing over the hose which shot a mangled piece of metal through the screen door and into the glass (thankfully only one pane). After reviewing the feedback that Najim had on Angie's list, we gave him a call (on Saturday morning) and since he was in the area, he showed up about 30 minutes later to look things over.  He indicated that we needed to replace both panes so that the door wouldn't fog up and could replace the door within the week if we were fine with no grille.  To special order the replacement glass for our door (with grille) would cost an extra $60 or so and take at least another week - which we were fine with.  He'd also replace our screen door and clean up the broken glass.  We thought $350 as a total cost was more than fair and wrote him a down payment.  Once the glass arrived two weeks later, he came out Saturday morning and installed it very cleanly and quickly.  It looks beautiful and we're very happy with his work.  We'd highly recommend Najim for glass replacement work.

Awesome!  Very smooth from estimate through to completion. All done in less than 48 hours.  Received estimate on the spot, and he was at my house the next day to do the work. 4 hours later he was done.  Work is good and prices are fair.  A real pleasure to work with.

And, to top it off, I asked him to install replacement attic windows for me and he told me that it would be more cost efficient to just have them re-glazed as opposed to replaced, as they are just decorative.  Can't ask for a better recommendation than one that saves you money!

He is officially my "go to" guy for all window and glass work. I'll never use anyone else. So good, in fact, that I told my mom about him. That's the first man I've told my mother about in years.  :o)

Our realtor recommend Najim to help us repair a bunch of double-pane glass windows with broken seals instead of having to buy new windows. Najim and his partner were able to do the work in a couple of hours for a low price. Our windows were completely clouded due to mineral deposits that had built up over time due to condensation because the seals were broken. After working their magic they now look brand new, and it was so much cheaper than buying new windows.
