Mikes Vacuum

Mike was awesome. I took in 2 vacuums, 1 Kenmore and a 30 year old Kirby. He was familiar with both machines. I took them in on Saturday afternoon and he was done on Tuesday. The price was awesome. I will use Mike in the future and recommend him highly.

Make was quick, more than pleasant. What a delight to encounter someone taking pride in service and refurbishment Excellent location near Walmart's, Lowe's and a whole trove of antique dealers at 29 and 33. Easy ride from Orange and Gordonsville in addition to neighbors up and down Rte29.

When I picked up my vacuum I thought he had replaced my old one with a new one. Excellent service. I wish he did more than vacuums.

Mike was excellent. I was having trouble finding local service companies to work on my Dyson and Hoover. Then, I found Mike using an online search. He said bring them on in and he will be able to help. Mike was very courteous and professional. He told me he would have my machines back to me in two days or less. Sure enough Mike called me in less than two days time and with the work completed to perfection. Not only did he do the repairs, but he also cleaned each machine for me. His prices could not be beat. In fact, when Mike tried to get the part for my hoover it had been discontinued and was now packaged with other parts for double the cost. Mike took it upon himself to search down just the part that was needed so as to save me money! Mike has been in the business for a long time and was confident in his abilities. He has earned my future business.

I called Mike in the morning and told him I'd bring the vacuum in the afternoon.  On the phone, he was very professional and easy to talk to.  When I got to his shop, he put aside the work he'd been doing to diagnose and repair my vacuum.  I told him I thought the belt turning the brush roller needed replacing; the brush often slipped and it looked to me like it had stretched out (not surprising after a number of years of use without regular maintenance).  He concurred and, besides replacing both belts (the other belt didn't look much better and the replacement package came with both belts), he cleaned up the inside and outside of the machine.  He also showed me two filters I didn't even know were there, and replaced one of those (although I have owned and used the vacuum for a few years, I detest housework and so, I admit I didn't pay as much attention to the machine as long as it worked).  The whole time he was working and explaining some of the features of the vacuum, we had a nice chat about this and that.  Now the machine works like (almost) new:  the brush rolls as it should, and the suction has been returned to full force.  Mike is a skilled professional who enjoys his work, and he charges a fair price.  I actually recommended him less than an hour after leaving his store -- I stopped in at an antique store, and when I mentioned I was really only in town to have my vacuum cleaner repaired, the saleslady stated she hadn't known there was a repairman near to her store.  I gave her directions, and she said she would check him out.  All in all, I was very impressed by Mike, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing vacuum repair.
