They showed up on time which is very important to me.  Many contractors make you wait for hours.  Jason was very friendly and chatty. He pointed out potential issues at the time he provided the estimate, and gave us various options for the repairs.  The work was done in a timely manner, and the price was as estimated.  Overall, I think the price was a little expensive for the amount of the work which was ultimately involved, but I did not obtain other estimates so it is hard to judge.  I would hire this company again.

Beautiful! Daniel did a wonderful job. He was respectful, informative, very helpful and very thorough. Every test performed was explained. I even signed on with Ostrom in the event of future electrical problems. And Ostrom sent me a card thanking me for using their services. It is I who am sooooo thankful for their quick, efficient, service. I Thank them and wholeheartedly recommend them for everyones electrical needs.

Ostrom was the highest bidder on the project (required because we were putting central air/heat pumps into our 70 year-old house). I suspect at least a couple of the other bidders could have done as good a job, but from the office experience, to the estimate, to the actual work, Ostrom was extremely professional, neat and timely. The estimator also oversaw the two-day job and was extremely easy to work with. Everything went smoothly, with power off for most of the first day (upgrading the service panel), but none the second (running the power supply for the new heat pumps, which were not yet installed). Only hiccup was that the city inspector required the placement of the new outdoor outlets near the neat pumps (which had cutoff boxes already installed) as part of new code requirements that had only been in effect for about a month, as I understand. So, that meant a quick trip back (and an additional $160 payment) to take care of that.
Can't say enough about the neatness, dedication and hard work of the crew. Highly recommended.

His estimate was outrageous.  He was $2,000 more than the company that I'm using now.  He was very responsive and came out when he said he would.  He walked through the house and did get the estimate to me quickly.

I had multiple electrical issues with a rental property and they were very prompt and professional in arranging with my tenant appointments to look at everything for an estimate as well as the repairs. They worked with me on prioritizing what should be done right away and what could wait. He also came up with options to help cut costs. George was the technician who was assigned to my job.  He was very professional and personal .  Upon arrival I was impressed that he put on shoe protectors on not to dirty up my hardwood floors, I knew then that this was a whole new experience for me, in the past I have had work done where others had no regard for my home.  To sum it up they exceeded my expectations, which almost never happens.  I will tell all my friends and associated about my experience.

They spent quite a bit of time looking at the situation and tried several different methods to correct it. None of them were successful. They then said that they were sorry and that I would need the services of a heating and air-conditioning contractor. I actually needed the services of an HVAC person. The electrician that came was excellent. I would consider using them again in the future for another project or another quote.

We had a lot of odds and ends electrical needs (outlets installed, phone jacks activated etc.). George was our service technician. He was not only prompt and efficient, but really nice as well. We will be using Ostrom Electrical again in the very near future to assemble and install an outdoor light fixture. We're very pleased to have found this company.

Ostrom Electrical came out the same day and installed the outlet for almost half of what I was going to pay. The gentleman arrived at my home within two hours of calling. He even put covers over his shoes to keep from dirtying the floor... I couldn't believe it! The outlet was installed and it looked like it had always been there. The electrician was extremely nice and even vacuumed around his work area. I could not have been more impressed! Great Value, Great Service! I am not sure of all the areas that they service but if you live the the Roanoke Valley and need electrical work then at least give this company a call first.

It went VERY well. They were polite, right on time and Daniel the tech was very helpful and offered a better solution to my problem than I had thought of. He was good enough to offer to look around and see if there was anything else that needed his attention. I was very happy with the job they all did and thought the price was fair.

Called Ostrom Electrical at 9am/ Call was returned at 910 am. Appt was scheduled for 1230 that day. Electrician arrived at 1230. Work was completed . No mess and no more problems with circuit.
