David James’ mission is to provide affordable custom housing for the average family. We do packages from $125,000 to $400,000 and our average selling price is $190,000.
David James offers a warranty package second to none, guaranteeing the basement dry for 15 years, a 10 year structural warranty and, most importantly, a 5 year workmanship warranty. Our total commitment to customer service and satisfaction is the philosophy of every David James Homes associate before, during and after construction, earning David James the Summit Award in 2008. The Summit Award is given by Professional Warranty Corporation for only the highest level of customer satisfaction. We cultivate an environment that respects loyalty and dedication, which ensures that every employee is equally committed to the success of your project.
Since 1995, David James has specialized in building highly customized homes at prices below what tract builders charge. Our concept is very unique to the southern VA market. Rather than pricing homes with allowances for all amenities, David James Homes has a complete showroom where customers can choose everything from flooring to roofing. Customers love the convenience and we are able to give a set price for the home rather than estimates. The concept also allows us to purchase in large volume, realizing substantial material savings that are passed on to the customer in lower prices.
Since 2003 our company's sales have more than tripled and we have been named to the National Homebuilder's list of 50 fastest growing builders for the last two years in a row. David James Homes currently builds more than 80 custom homes a year within a 60-mile radius of Roanoke, VA and Lynchburg, VA. In January of 2008 David James expanded its operations into the Winchester, VA area and has several homes under construction there.
At David James Homes, in all of our dealings with new customers and current homeowners, it becomes very clear that our one driving force, our ultimate goal, is not just building houses – it’s bringing families home.
