Scott was very informative and professional. Of the 5 different tree service providers we called, he was the only one who found a way to cut the tree in a way that it did not fall towards the house. All other were estimating much higher because they said they would have climb up the tree and cut it in parts. Scott came up with an out of the box solution to take part of the fence down , bring down the tree and then put the fence back up. Definitely recommended A+

They weren't the cheapest or most expensive but they were certainly the best choice. It took them 2 days to remove the tree and grind the stump. The entire crew was very professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree service.

One of the dead trees was a tall loblolly pine that required significant time to cut down.  TruTimber brought in equipment to remove the dead trunk and damaged our fence in the process.  They promptly returned and repaired the fence- greatly appreciated!

Received what could have been a standard bid.. except that they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to give us affordable options to accommodate our budget. Also gave separate pricing to remove tree stumps in our planned vegetable garden area.
Only reason we didn't use them.. they were booked solid for a month and we needed to get the project done sooner.
We have lots of trees on our lot.. we will happily call them again!

They hired a huge crane, lifted the two very large pines up and over 2 mature magnolias and the house.  Stump removal and just an all around great job.  This is the second time I have used them and the value is amazing given the high quality of the job.

This is an outstanding company to work with.  I was impressed by the high level of customer service, their professionalism, the quality of their work and their punctuality.  I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for tree work.  We had two tall trees cut down from the backyard - one which required a bucket truck and one which required someone to climb the tree.  Both were done very well!   The entire process went smoothly.

This is one of the most professional companies I have encountered in a very long time. Scott's knowledge is exceptional and his crew was very efficient and effective.They were prompt and repeatedly asked me if I was happy with the job and made any adjustment needed. Additionally they are just very nice people to deal with which always makes things better.

We thought the trees around our house were all healthy and solid. Although many in our neighborhood suffered significant tree loss during hurricane Isabel, we didn't lose a single tree. Hurricane Irene convinced us otherwise. Two huge oaks right in front of our house came down as we watched. It was like a horror show in slow-motion. Luckily they fell away from the house, but I was resolved to end the days of cowering in our home wondering if the next thing we heard would be the sound of a huge tree crashing through the roof the during a hurricane.
We sought and received 3 quotes for this work. The gentleman (Randy) from True Timber impressed us from the very beginning. He was quite thorough throughout the assessment, walking the property to clearly identify each tree, and working out the process he would use to do it. The most efficient way to remove these trees was with a large (80 ton) crane, and there was a question about whether the crane could be accommodated in our rather narrow driveway. Rather than make a quick decision, Randy brought in the crane operator to make the assessment - a very wise move. The crane operator was comfortable with the situation, so the quote was composed based on having the crane available for all trees. We received a nicely detailed quote in writing which included both individual pricing and an overall price if all trees were done together.
The other two quotes we received were from other tree service companies highly rated on this site. They were both at least 2X more, and the individuals we spoke with were far less interested in giving us a well thought out and detailed quote. In fact, one 'quote' was presented to us on the back of a business card! And for $12,500!
Randy told us that True Timber uses a larger crew for their work, so the work is performed very quickly and with quality. Our job would take up to 2 days. We had received input from one of the other companies that they would have 2 works on site for as much as 2 weeks. What a difference!
The actual job lasted 2 full days. The True Timber crew and crane operator showed up exactly on time each day. The first day there were as many as 10 True Timber crew members. The second day a few less. I can say that the crew I spoke with were all very polite and professional. I never had the sense that they were taking undue risks, and the tree climbers were remarkably proficient and careful when cutting each  tree section by section. 
When the work was completed a crew member made a point of coming to the door to thank us for giving them the job and to keep them in mind for future work.
Finally, we received the invoice which included a surprise charge not included in the original quote. After a short discussion, True Timber acknowledged the error and removed this charge.
I am totally delighted by the work and the professionalism exhibited by True Timber, from the initial quote to the final removal and cleanup of the tree debris. There are  more observations I could provide, including how they managed traffic, their great equipment, the obvious emphasis on safety, but I think you get the idea. We were really blown away by True Timber, and we'll be recommending them to all of our friends and family!

I had a big deal for TrueTimber Tree Service Inc. He was very professional.  I had one bad tree in the back of my house.  I was charged $199.  I will rate them very good.  They were very good, they came in and were professional, they did the job.  They told me you can have more dead trees if you want because this one here we charge you for that.  He was telling me if there are any more dead trees that you want to cut, they cut one tree for $100 or $200.  I told him okay I got a little tree here if you can cut that go ahead, so he did.  They cut it and it's done.  Very good all the way.  I would use them again in the future.  I think they were here in September.

TrueTimber Tree Service Inc was fine. I used them before and I always liked them. They're very professional, easy to work with and they're very respectful of your property; they take the time to be careful. They clean up well, everything is left as it was or better. I think they're the best in the area. We always like to have them and I would highly recommend them. If you asked them to cut a dead limb down on a tree, they'll do it for you for free.

Work was professionally and neatly done.  Price was good.

The company representatives arrived on time for our survey appointment.  They conducted a detailed survey of the wooded section of our yard, down to the property line.  After the survey they informed us of the contents of the woods, the problem areas and what they recommended as a remedy.  We made an appointment for the team to return and perform the service. 
At a later date the team arrived punctually, performed requested service, plus some additional work that I believed necessary.  Their recommendation was to return in the Spring to perform additional required services to which we agreed.  We will get them back soon to carry out further pruning and tree services as discussed with them.
The company followed up for a satisfaction report.

From the day of the estimate to the day the crew arrived, these guys were pros. They were fast, efficient and provided additional advice on what I might look to do in the future. I believe I got good value for my money. I will use True Timber again.

someone had come out and gave me an estimate for the work I needed done.
then someone called to setup a time for the tree climbers to come out and cut the dead limbs.
we had to re-schedule once due to inclement weather which was understandable.
they came on the prescribed day and time. and did a very good job. they removed the cut down limbs.

Completly satisfied with all aspects of the job.   It was particularly gratifying because another Angie's List tree removal service that I had initially hired (J&W) was a complete disappointment, so I dropped them and hired TrueTimber instead.
