Jeter's Carpet & Flooring

We had selected two remnants as cost-saving measure for an investment property: 12 x 19 and 12 x 10 to cover dining/kitchen/laundry and pantry areas. Installer discovered remnant to be damaged, so a few quick phone calls resulted in new vinyl selected off the rack at no extra charge. Very courteous and professional. No delay in installation and the floor looks fantastic. Very thick and good quality.

It went very well they are excellent. they've done work for me for years. since 1998.  They provide quality service and make sure the job is done right the first time.

From start to finish, it was a very good experience.  Joe Getchell worked with us to get the price down to what we wanted.  Installation was easily scheduled and the job was done in 2 days.  The next day we noticed a small problem, which was easily and quickly corrected.

The price was reasonable.  Our experience with them was adequate.  We didn’t have any extensive work done by them.  The work that was done was done well.  They were super simple to work with.

A very good experience.  James Jeter showed us samples, let us take them home and fully understood when we made a change.  Workman was very professional and James came back to make minor corrections.  Very good experiences -- floor is beautiful -- and we will use Jeters for additional work.

Professional throughout

I needed carpet installed on my office stairs.  Their representative met me at my office and brought in a few samples after I gave him an idea of what I was looking for.  His selections were right on point and I contacted him about a week later and told him to move forward.  He told me the carpet would take 3 to 5 days to come in.  I had an office party to give on Friday the 17th and the carpet was supposed to come in on the 16th.  He said they could install it on the 18th.  I asked if they could have it done before the party.  He made a few calls and MADE IT HAPPEN!  It was installed the night of the 16th and looked fabulous for my party!  The installers were prompt, neat, and very personable.  Email communication was a little slow, but overall I LOVE THESE GUYS!

If it wasn't for Angie's List, I would've never tried Jeters. I went to Home Depot, Floor Trader and Lowe's first, then checked Angie's List when I knew I was going forward with the project. Jeters is actually cheaper, has better quality selections and provide excellent service. Jeters only sells carpet and flooring of all types and qualities. They come to measure, then you go to the store and pick out what you want. The price they give you is all inclusive (they move furniture, add quarter round, etc.). The other vendors were constantly adding fees for things. I had to reschedule the installation because I became ill. No problem. Jeters came on time, with a crew and did a top notch professional job. I am so impressed with their skill level. They are a delight to have in your home and they clean up everything. I cannot say enough about this company. I plan on doing the bedrooms next year and I'm calling Jeters. I've always liked supporting local small businesses, but when you can get a bargain and excellent installation, it's a no brainer. Thank you, Angie's List, for finding this place. Outstanding service and wonderful job. I'm so thrilled.

Being new to the Richmond area, I would have never found Jim Jeter's Carpet Outlet without the help of Angie's List.  My husband and I had been shopping for hardwood flooring over several weeks time and had been unimpressed with both inventory and service, but this experience was very different, starting with James Jeter.  His subject matter expertise, patience, and customer service were unsurpassed.  He went above and beyond to find us the floor we wanted even thought it wasn't part of their regular inventory and we love, love, love it. The gentlemen who did the initial floor prep were friendly, fast and neat.  And the installers Roy and Al were INCREDIBLE - professional, expedient, and totally quality conscious.  What more could a consumer ask for?

Went well but upset is unavoidable. We moved more incidentals than we had to due to our ignorance.. Their team moved furnishings as needed  .with sliders and replaced as we wished.Personnel congenial from start to finish.B categoriy above because of lack of comparison..

Requested estimate / measurement via company website on a Monday. Made an appointment on Tuesday. Measurement made on Wednesday. Picked out carpet on Thursday. They removed carpet and padding in den, stairs and upstairs. Replaced with new padding and remnant carpeting on Friday.

They were very professional. The product was excellent. They did a great installation. I would use them again.

.Arrived on time, removed all debris and took offsite.  Very courteous and professional.  Finished job on time.  $250 less than other quotes.

Found Jim Jeters thru Angies list after searching for a new carpet vendor for our house in Aug.  Emailed them thru their direct website, and rec'd a reponse back 2 days later that "James" would be contacting me.  Played phone tag (my fault) but did get to speak with James directly about what I was looking to have done.  Softspoken and patience, he listened to my needs and setup an in-house estimate a few days later.  In-house measuring was scheduled for 7/15, James called to let me know he was running a little late (which I appreciated).  Once he arrived, he was very patience and listened again to everything I told him. He brought samples with him, and even explained differences about shedding on one particular brand vs the other that my previous vendor never even mentioned to me (and now i'm paying for it ).  James worked on 2 separate quotes for me and emailed them back that afternoon.  Quotes were fairly competitive and left nothing amiss.  James followed up via both email and phone over the next few weeks to see if there were any questions, concerns while my husband and I were debating.  We finally decided to go into the store on 9/10 to go look at some other samples and colors.  We called James around 4pm on saturday, just to make sure he was in to meet with us (which he was -and he remember my project/estimate without having to think!).  We brough my 2 year old into the store that afternoon (poor them - she was rascally) and we ended up going with a higher grade carpet for durability and quality.  James was patience (Again) and worked with us for about 45 minutes in the store (all while my daughter was doing the typical toddler behavior!).  We settled on our choice and said we would get back to James a few days later.  We called the next week, and confirmed our choice and worked out scheduling.  Installation was completed today (9/26) and I couldnt be happier. Installers called before they arrived (to let me know they were on their way and to find out if work was to be done on 1st or 2nd story). Upon arrival, installers were friendly, efficient and very engergetic.  I believe the lead installer was Michael (?), and he make sure I was satisfied before leaving the job site.  I would highly recommend them and will use them going forward for my other carpet projects.

I met with James, Jim's son, at my home, James was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.  He took measurements quickly and left.

I later came to the showroom to look at the types of floors I could have installed as well as having several quotes done depending on the quality of carpet or vinyl needed.  I found James to be easy to work with and very good at listening.  James is a flooring person, not a sales person.  He shares the material with you in a non biased manner, letting you decide what you want and not what he thinks you should do.

I plan to use them once I've decided what I want in my home.  My experience was positive, and believe James to be a personable professional ready, willing and able to give you a good floor at a reasonable price, without being pushy or misleading.

We contacted Jim Jeters to have a carpet installation estimate done for our upstairs master/spare bedrooms, hallway and stairs.  James contacted me after I submitted a request for quote using their online webpage contact me site within 1 business day. We discussed what I was looking to do and setup a time for him to come out and measure and bring samples. He was extremely polite, well educated in the profession (even though he's young looking) and made sure he called to let me know he was running a little behind for our appt.  Once he arrived at my home, we went thru the options, the carpet sampes and he educated me on what could be done and different options in samples.  A quote was emailed to me that evening and he called to follow up a week later to see if how things were looking. Unfortunately we have had to put the carpet install on hold due the storm now (tree damage :() but I would recommend going using them if and when we move forward with the project. 

The gentleman who estimated the job was very professional and knowledgable...the installation went smoothly.

I spent about $4000 on that service. I liked that they were quick, punctual and they followed up. I spoke them and they were out within a day. They came and gave me an estimate and then did the work and I was really impressed with them. I have recommended them to others. Their pricing was a little less than the other companies.

Jim Jr was extremely helpful in special ordering and unsual shade of carpet. They stuck to the estimate, were very professional and prompt in their installation and had good follow up to make sure we were happy, I have already recommended them to someone else.

They had the least expensive carpet in the area. It was a messy job where they had to pull up some old and dirty carpet. They did a very good job. I looked all around town to find the best deal I could, and these guys were far and away the most reasonable. They had a really good remnant area that I bought it from.
