Everything went very smoothly. Due to weather we needed to reschedule twice, but that was not an issue and the guys were out bright and early on the day of the appointment. They were quite efficient and had the tree down and cleaned-up in less time than promised. Daniel overseen the whole process from estimate-appointment-payment. I was pleased with the process and would have them back if needed or recommend to a neighbor.

Arrived on time and went to work immediately. Very professional. Did an excellent job and left area very clean. Received several quotes, and this was definitely the best price - exceptional service!

Contacted Daniel and we made an appointment to meet at 5:00 p.m. that day. He never showed. I tried calling to find out what happened and left message. He did not respond to that message or several other voice messages I left over the next 48 hours. He also did not respond to a message left via Angies List. Ended up contacting another service highly rated by Angies list and they were outstanding (True Timber). Apparently Daniel does not take his commitments seriously and I would never use or recommend his services.

Daniel came out and provided a good quote. I told him we were Angie list customers and he said he would honor the coupon. Then he never showed... Never called... Never returned my calls. We went somewhere else.

It went very well. Daniel was very professional. It did not take as long as i thought it would. His crew worked like a well oiled machine!

They provided us with execellent tree service. We had a very complicated tree in which half of it was over our house and needed to be removed. They came out and gave us an affordable estimate and perfomed the job in a timely manner. That same day, they were able to put down mulch at our house. Daniel did all the arrangments with us and made the process very smooth. They did a great job and we would definetely recommend their services to anyone.

Daniel came out provided me with an estimate. He removed 7 trees of various sizes, removed the roots and put top soil down. Then he charged me a competitive price.

I was extremely pleased with the service that Ismael provided.  He was able to provide an estimate a couple days after I called him and then was able to remove the trees less than a week after we told him that we wanted him to do the job.  The men were very hard workers.  They worked quickly and efficiently.  They did a great job.  They cleaned up all of the debris before leaving.  Ismael's price was the lowest of the three estimates that we obtained.  He was able to do the job much quicker than a competitor

whose bid was a little higher.

I was very pleased with Ismael Tree Service.  We will use them again when needed and will recommend them to others.  We plan to contact Ismael to get a quote on leaf removal as well

This is how you do business . Called after reading the great reviews met with mr mato . He was all about business said he could do it in two days . Showed up on time did the work and left the bill . Very reasonable rates and great work . I'm using them for all my yards needs from now on . Give them a try you won't be disappointed .

I have not been looking forward to posting this review.  This is a company that I liked and planned on using for years to come when I needed tree removal. The work performed on March 14, 2014 went well in regards to removing the large oak tree, however it's the second date, September 3, that is the basis for my unsatisfactory review. 
Mato's  Ismael's Tree Service was doing tree work at the house directly across from mine (Mato's got that job based on work my neighbor saw being completed in my yard in October 2013).  I went over in person to see if someone could provide an estimate and date for tree work in my yard.  A Mato's employee walked through my yard with me, gave me a quote and told me they were busy but would call to schedule the tree work. The following week I saw them at yet another neighbors house finishing up work that had not been completed to the neighbor's original specifications.  I walked over and talked to the same individual to follow up scheduling an appointment time.  I told him he could pick any date and time and I would work around it and be home.  I was given the date September 3. September 3 came and went.  On September 4, I called Mato's three times and left three messages.  I never received a response.  That night I sent an email to Mato's expressing my frustration.  On the morning of Septmeber 5, I phoned Mato's and told them I could no longer wait and not to bother showing up (as if that were actually going to happen). Mato's  never had the common courtesy to return a phone call.  Mato's displayed a total lack of respect and professionalism.  Not showing up and wasting a considerable amount of my time was one thing, not returning a phone call made the situation even more aggravating.  Perhaps Mato's thought it was no big deal that they were a no show and that I had nothing better to do with my time.  For me it was a very big deal.  My husband works in construction and had worked out of state for 8 months.  We had a lot of things that we had to put on ?the back burner? that required both of our attendance.  My husband was only home for one week. We spent nearly 3 days sitting at home waiting for Mato's. We were hesitant to leave thinking that Mato's could show up any minute.  I do not like any work performed on my property unless I am home.  We never, to this date, have heard from Matos.  It is with regret that I can no longer recommend this company.
I want to note that there is a review on the following page written on October 19, 2012, that gives Mato's an ?F? for the same reason ? a no show.

Very smoothly and on time from the estimate through completion.

Matos showed up on time for the estimate.  His price was both the most competitive and included the most complete scope of
work. 
We scheduled the work for a Sunday morning when both my husband and I could be home.  The crew showed up on time and ready to work at 8:30 am.  In ten minutes they reviewed the work, sorted out trucks, equipment, chainsaws, ropes, etc?and got right to it.  The oak tree was VERY large and they brought it down efficiently - quickly and safely.  Each person in the crew knew his specific job(s).  They did not stop working until Matos called a break. 
We are _VERY_ impressed with the hard working crew, speed and teamwork displayed. (Wish the office I am at could be this coordinated.)
One guy is Heracules; He picks up pieces of tree (really) and carries them across his shoulders to throw them into the truck.  The stumps were all ground down to my satisfaction and the clean-up was comprehensive (raked yard with metal rake,
used blowers, even took some piles of debris I had been compiling through the winter).  
Every person I spoke with was courteous and professional. 
Superb clean up.  No straggling branches or mess left behind.  Only left the stump grindings and firewood as instructed. The crew cut up firewood as requested and stacked as directed.  Great service, great professionalism, great price, great guys. 
We are very happy and could not have asked for more.
 
Yes, I will use again for any future tree work, leaf clearing and landscaping.

They were a little late showing up but once they got here they got right to work. They cut down a large tree and then ground the stump. I was very happy with how well they cleaned up the area.

This is our 2nd time with this company.  They provided an estimate and arrived on correct date.  They do an exceptional job.  We will use them over and over again.  Thanks so much Ismael.

I called for an estimate and they arrived at the scheduled appointment time.  I walked them around the yard and pointed out the trees I wanted removed.  In a short amount of time they handed me an estimate and when I saw the price I said, "When can you start?"  They had a busy schedule but were able to schedule the work within a week which was not an issue for me.  They showed up as scheduled ready to go promptly at 8:00 a.m.  They put in a solid days work taking a short break for lunch.  They were professional, polite, hard working, and did a good job cleaning up the property after the tree work was completed. I would highly recommend Ismael Landscaping and Tree Service.  I would like to note that the business card they gave me has "Mato's Landscaping on it; it's the same company.  They have a website that has Mato's on it as well; address is the same as the one listed on Angie's List.
I would also like to add that over the years I have had approximately five different tree removal companies complete work on my property.  Ismael/Mato's is the best deal out there.  They are now first on my list and I will be calling them back this spring for additional work.

As requested the company cut down two cedar trees aside my house and dropped them, as I requested, where they fell.  The trees were twice the height of  my ranch style house and one was leaning slightly over the roof. I subsequently cut up the trees into 4 to 5 ft lengths are dragged them to my mulch pile with my tractor.
Unlike other tree companies, the owner came to give me his price, we agreed on it and the next day he did the work.
Other companies told me they could not even give me an estimate for 2 weeks.  Another company that I had used previously gave me a price of  $700.00 to drop the trees and another $250 to take the trees off the property.  Obviously, I shopped around and found Ismael on AngiesList.  $150 for 1/2 hour of work is still a good profit.  But $700 would have been a rip-off.

Everything went very well.  Have used them many times and I continue to go back.  Very good work at a more than reasonable price.

Unbelievable--we have used other companies before and they cannot compete with this group.

He and his crew were professional, courteous and quick.  His crew cleaned up very well and even used a leaf blower to clean around the house and deck where they were not even working.

I contacted Ismael because of the excellent rating that had appeared regarding his service in Angie's List.  I went to voicemail, not an unusual occurrence when attempting to contact small contractors.  He called the next day.  He appeared interested in the work.  We agreed on a day and time that he would come to the house and provide an estimate.  I gave him contact information in the event either of us needed to re-schedule.
Although the 5:30 PM appointment was for after-work, I had to leave work a little early to ensure I would be there on time.  That was my choice and not an issue.  I also had commitments later in the evening that I couldn't reschedule.  In other words, I made the effort to be there at the agreed-upon time.
Well, 5:30 stretched to 6 PM, then 6:15 and beyond, with each passing minute being the one where I said to myself, "Is he coming?  Have I waited long enough?"  Finally, I needed to move on.
Did I think to call him?  Admittedly, no.  In my view, I expected him to either be there on time, or call me in advance if he couldn't make the appointment.
He did call me the next day, wanting to re-schedule.  Had his excuse for not showing up been a life event, such as an emergency, death-in-family, or some such, I would have been understanding.  However, it was just a variation on "I forgot." 
I told him why I had contacted him in the first place--the Angie's List review--and that all I had to judge him by was this limited interaction, but to me, it didn't indicate someone who was reliable.  I declined to re-schedule.
In his defense, he remained professional and said he understood. That was the end of my experience. 
My general comment is that until you've established a relationship with any service provider, all you have to judge them by is the experience of others and your own initial contact.  To all contractors I would say, "You only get one chance to make a good first impression."
I am now back to Angie's List, looking for other contractors with whom my experience may yield better results.
