"I apologize to those potential new clients that might want to see our reply to this review. Long short is we did reply to their acknowledgement/acceptance of our estimate but @ 3 days after it was sent. We stated during the estimate that our schedule was 3-5 weeks out and I guess I thought they would give a little grace on our ability to reply/accept them as clients. I guess we just missed their time line. Hopefully they found someone to perform their work. As we progress through the social media "world", we need to be more on point with our replies. AHHH! "(member name removed), Thanks for the review. For a moment I had to think who (member name removed) was. Then it clicked and realized who it was. My apologies. Though we strive for "A" reviews, we must have missed something between now and when we did the work. We removed your failing railing system, we custom made ,in our shop, railings to match your front railings, we use pressure treated wood (which requires a longer drying time before painting than untreated wood), we came and installed them and applied a final coat of paint. All for @$600 3 trips in all, 1 for the estimate, 1 for the railing removal and 1 for final installation all to get B's and a C for a review. I am a little puzzled as our effort far exceeds the fee charged. I guess way too much time has past between submitting the review, performing the work and the years you lived with unsafe failing railing system to fully appreciate our efforts. It can be disheartening at times for us when we try to schedule work and unexpected delays occur which has a cause and effect on our schedule in general but I would never want any client to spend more than they can or would want to for any home improvement. "Member, Fair enough. We tried to fit your request for an estimate in but as we explained it was during the Christmas rush and we had a full schedule. We did give you an estimate based on your explanation of your work anmd you coiuld have accepted it and we would have scheduled you in. You chose not to and souight an actual estimate date and time. It is not easy to serve every one that contacts us and some times we simply can't meet the time line. We did try and provided ample appt dates after the new year but we did not get a reply from you. We simply assumed you had found another contractor who was not as busy. Glad you did. However a "D" is a little harsh, but we do realize that social media gives anyone the chance to "vent" and fortunatley not everything one reads is the whole truth. We try very hard to satisfy potential clients but they too have to engage in the process so together we can work together. I spoend most every evening processing requests, entering estimates, performing follow ups, search materials, etc. and then going to bed well after midnight most nights during the week just to stay on track, or to try and stay on track.
