We are now a Class A contractor. Our business focus will change with this new status. We will not be able to take on as many smaller projects as in the past. However, if you want to know the most information possible about your project prior to work beginning, you are in the right place, but please do not use us as an estimating service. We provide evaluations, (sometimes at a fee) of the requested work with budgetary estimates that you can use to make your decisions. Our extensive construction knowledge sets us apart from all the other companies and we are simply the best value out there. Our ability to "value engineer" a project is superior and we will guard some information/trade secrets to ensure we stay above the "pack". Once you commit to ZPL, you will be educated from start to finish. We function as a family owned & operated business and I am a working boss spending a great deal of time in the field on your projects making sure all is done well which helps to ensures our standards remain high. This can however, slow our response times on estimates and scheduling estimates from time to time so please be patient with us. You will get the same great service others are getting right now after you commit to ZPL and are scheduled accordingly. We are adding tradesmen as we can afford and as we find the right folks which will help us serve more of you quicker. "I apologize to those potential new clients that might want to see our reply to this review. Long short is we did reply to their acknowledgement/acceptance of our estimate but @ 3 days after it was sent. We stated during the estimate that our schedule was 3-5 weeks out and I guess I thought they would give a little grace on our ability to reply/accept them as clients. I guess we just missed their time line. Hopefully they found someone to perform their work. As we progress through the social media "world", we need to be more on point with our replies. AHHH! We do have a new office manager, Lori Hinden. You all should see a quicker turn around from us in the future. We are hopefully moving in the direction that we will be able to serve you all better. Scheduling and construction still take time so bear with us. I wish the other 30+ clients that have used us in the past few months would take the time to submit their review. "(member name removed), Thanks for the review. For a moment I had to think who (member name removed) was. Then it clicked and realized who it was. My apologies. Though we strive for "A" reviews, we must have missed something between now and when we did the work. We removed your failing railing system, we custom made ,in our shop, railings to match your front railings, we use pressure treated wood (which requires a longer drying time before painting than untreated wood), we came and installed them and applied a final coat of paint. All for @$600 3 trips in all, 1 for the estimate, 1 for the railing removal and 1 for final installation all to get B's and a C for a review. I am a little puzzled as our effort far exceeds the fee charged. I guess way too much time has past between submitting the review, performing the work and the years you lived with unsafe failing railing system to fully appreciate our efforts. Sometimes we think that we "run" our business but at times the business "runs" us. With that, it is hard to coordinate all requests. We have added a new tech to our team and we may add another. With so many handyman requests, we may need to have that as a separate division within ZPL. It is tough to logistically perform handyman, general remodeling and kitchen and bath work since each have such different time frames. Once again thanks. Weston"
over all they took longer to arrive and do the work than I planned. I
understand a reason for this is what I needed was a lower cost job
needing 2-3 trips to complete (sanding, mudding, drying times, primer).
The work looks good, cleanup was good, and I got some advice on a number of other areas that will help me.
I will have them return as I need more work on the walls and other areas.

installer arrived a little late but explained over the phone he would be
late due to earlier job taking longer than he thought. Once he arrived
he took the time to explain the job and go over with us what we were
expecting and wanted in great detail. He then went about the work, and
does he work. I cannot express how much this guy works. I don't think he
even stopped to take a break. AFter the job was complete he did not
even harrass us for payment he said an invoice would be coming to us
soon.
I highly recommend these folks.

It can be disheartening at times for us when we try to schedule work and unexpected delays occur which has a cause and effect on our schedule in general but I would never want any client to spend more than they can or would want to for any home improvement. We encourage ALL of our clients to be fully educated in the construction process and help them understand exactly what they really need or may want. Day 1 Weston came with 2 workers, both very personable people and good workers. They wasted no time and got right to it... once the floors were out, Weston again laid out the tile and we reviewed placement and patterns. Weston did all the critical work himself, he is a very skilled craftsman. Day 2, they cut and laid the tile and started on the kitchen ceiling. and Day 3 was grouting and finishing the ceiling. 2 days later he came back for an hour or 2 to seal the grout and fix the outside door.
All work done on time, as scheduled, as stated in the estimate, no cost overruns and very high quality! Id hire them for any and all my future work.

"Member, Fair enough. We tried to fit your request for an estimate in but as we explained it was during the Christmas rush and we had a full schedule. We did give you an estimate based on your explanation of your work anmd you coiuld have accepted it and we would have scheduled you in. You chose not to and souight an actual estimate date and time. It is not easy to serve every one that contacts us and some times we simply can't meet the time line. We did try and provided ample appt dates after the new year but we did not get a reply from you. We simply assumed you had found another contractor who was not as busy. Glad you did. However a "D" is a little harsh, but we do realize that social media gives anyone the chance to "vent" and fortunatley not everything one reads is the whole truth. We try very hard to satisfy potential clients but they too have to engage in the process so together we can work together. I spoend most every evening processing requests, entering estimates, performing follow ups, search materials, etc. and then going to bed well after midnight most nights during the week just to stay on track, or to try and stay on track. Our dedicatin is there but sorry for letting you down. Weston"

"Member, Thanks you for submitting your review. Quite some time has past since our visit to your home. Our recollection of our visit and performance are quite different than the "B" report given. "Big Deal" offerings are a huge commitment on our part and the discounts are even greater. We worked very hard dxuring the 2.5 hours for very little $ and schdeuling all those who purchase the coupons is not easy. We take great pride in serving our clients and strive for all "A's".
