"It is always best to fully understand the materials at hand, in this case an estimate, before one speaks way out of turn. Yes, we were tardy in getting you your estimate. That does not justify your actions. If you would have read the estimate fully, you would have realized that we included all three options on the same estimate, which was your request. Since you requested the thre options, the assumption is that you would recognize that the three options were included. Since there were three options based on your request, you would simply select the line items or options that you wish to perform. Most clients requesting several options would perform all options. Thus one would not add up all the option costs either. I am sure you realize that one would not replace the paneling in one option and then remove it to installe new 1/2" drywall and then remove the existing trims to add other trims, etc. Additionally, you did forget to mention that every opening, @ 7, doors & windows etc, would need to have their jambs "built out" for the new wall thickness since 1/2" drywall is thicker than your existing 1/4" paneling. You also forgot to mention that our price included furniture moving and full protection of your home from dust and debris. As a metter of fact, here are my line itmes/options you requested. Option 1 Replace 7 sheets of matching paneling and reinstalling your existing trims, $700.00 Option 2 Replace all paneling with new 1/2 drywall. Reinstall all existing trims. Build out all jambs and 3 coat finsh drywall ready for primer. $2350.00 Option 3 Do not install trim from wall to ceiling but tape drywall to ceiling, add $225.00 Option 4 Replace existing wall to ceiling trims with new 3 5/8" crown molding, add $375.00 Option 5 Primer all new drywall and install1 coat flat paint, add $425.00 Option 6 Paint all trims 1 coat semi gloss paint, add $225.00 It is very easy to make folks like you look bad when the facts speak for themselves. I surely wish you would have asked questions if you did not understand the estimate. Individuals such as yourself claiming a specific faith having a descrepancy should discuss that issue with the individual before excercising the freedom the internet affords to speak such inaccurate words. I must say, I am very dissapointed in your behavior. Since I share the same faith you claim to practice, I must forgive your behavior but I will never understand folks like you. For the sake of others who may cross your path in the furture, please get all the facts and fully understand them before doing such a stupid thing again.
