First of all, I contacted Rakim with short notice of an emergency job that needed to be done. The person I referred him to was in a dire strait situation ( there was no heat in the home) and the weather was frigid cold. He showed up on time, assessed the situation, and immediately took action and got the job done! He is honest, fair, and above all has a great personality and has a genuine concern for people. I recommend Rakim and his son for any job big or small because he will do what is best for the situation and not take advantage of you. He is also very knowledgeable about what he’s doing.

They did an excellent job getting my AC nice and cold for the summer. They were unable to check other HVAC components on the scheduled date due to a locked box, but they returned and performed the inspection another time at no additional cost!

Your Community Heating and Cooling handled our repair. Rakim, the company owner came out the same day, spent some time to thoroughly examine our heat pump. The compressor was not working. He attempted to perform maintenance on the compressor to "buy us some extra time" with the unit but was unable to make it work. Rakim offered two solutions, and recommended what he thought was the best plan of action. We agreed and chose to replace the heat pump. The diagnosis visit was timely and inexpensive ($80) for the level of professionalism we received. Rakim came out the next day, and replaced our unit (a York) with a higher quality Rheem. The work took approximately 2 hours (maybe less) and within a few hours, the temperature in our house decreased from 87 degrees to 75, and when we woke the next morning the house temp was 70 degrees. By the way, both visits occurred between 7 and 9 PM. Rakim recognized our need, and gave selflessly of his time and experience providing us with excellent service. I would recommend that you choose Your Community Heating and Cooling for your needs as well. Both visits were $2330.00. Extremely pleased with all facets.

Mr. Rakim Shahid, owner of "Your Community Heating and Cooling" is a professional. He was always extremely responsive in answering questions and providing quotes for option A, B or C systems. He showed up exactly when he said he would for contract preparation/signing and system installation. He did exactly what he said he would do and when he would do it. He and his team replaced a 19 yr old Rheem HVAC with a new Rheem heat pump and air handler. The entire process was very smooth, no surprises and craftsmanship of the installation is evident. I am pleased with the results and would have no reservations in recommending his services. I will choose his company again in the future.
