It was excellent. The provider was very professional when replacing the garage door. We liked his work so well, we actually requested him out to replace the garage door opener as well. The office was friendly and professional as well.

The job was done quickly. The main criticism was with totally completing the job. We had some disagreement with them. We almost had an argument. We are old folks and we are still healthy. We don't need an electric garage door opener and we can open the garage door by hand. We would like to have the capability to lock it and unlock it from the outside. It almost came to an argument that we told them too late that we wanted this option. They originally wanted to install just a garage door with simple handle to lift which we found ridiculous. The doors are of good quality. The job was fine. The price was good. We might still look at what they offer to use them again in the future.

Called on a Monday about a broken spring on the garage door and was able to get an appointment the same day. The serviceman (Shaun) was extremely helpful and professional. He went above and beyond your typical repair call - even fixed a light that had been acting up. I would definately recommend Apple Door Systems. I called another top rated Angie's List garage door repair company to compare quotes and their price was very close. I went with Apple based on the great customer service ratings- all of which were spot on. I have another appointment this week to install a missing lock.

Shawn/Shaun from Apple Door just came out for a full garage door system and he was simply amazing! He was extremely thorough, explained everything to me, and even cleaned up the messy wiring (mainly the way the wiring ran) from the last installation - and I have no idea who did that installation. What's more, they were two hundred dollars less than the other estimate I got. Apple Door, if you're reading this.... Shaun deserves a raise based on my experience and he's a great representative for your company. Now about that raise... :)

Prompt in scheduling and arrival to do the work. Technician inspected both garage doors, replaced the broken spring and replaced a missing hinge that does not appear to ever have been installed on the door. He also provided information on possible replacements for the future. Aaron, thanks for your professionalism and courteous service.

Called 8:50am, arrived at 12:30pm. No emergency, just normal breakdown. Fixed minor repairs, serviced door by lubing all parts, alignments, etc. Throughly explained what he did and it is running smoothly and quieter than it ever has!! Very pleased with internal/external service received.

Our garage door opener needed to be fixed or replaced. We purchased this one from Apple Door in 1995 and had maintenance on it twice during those years, by Apple Door. We called them and they came out to assess the door. Due to its age and more advanced technology, it was decided to replace the door opener. The Serviceman, who came to the house was helpful. We ask for a model that would be competant and not too pricey. He acted as the go between us and the company, suggested a price to us and said he would talk to the company. He got back to us in a timely manner and we set an appointment for the installation. He was prompt, installed the garage door opener and cleaned up afterwards. He gave us the information of the garage door operation and demonstrated the ease of use. We did not feel as though we had to be around in order for him to do his job. It was a no fuss no bother, getthe job done type of stituation. We were pleased and the garage door is still working just fine.

Excellent service. I sent an email to Apple Door on a Sunday afternoon and I received an email response within an hour with a cost estimate for the job and asking when I would like the word done. They called me on Monday with a 4pm time. I met Billy at 4 - he was on time, actually he was waiting for me. Within 30 minutes, Billy replaced the torsion spring. He also tightened all the hinges and applied lubricant to the rails. He was professional and courteous.

One of the garage door springs broke Thanksgiving Day, trapping my car in the garage. I called Apple Door the following day and discovered they were closed for the holiday weekend. I requested their emergency service (Approximately $100 extra cost). Their technician arrived within an hour and promptly replaced both springs, since both had the same service life. The technician was courteous and very knowledgeable. I had used Apple Door previously for a repair and had the same good experience.

Making the appointment went well and the person I talked with was courteous and professional. She gave me a fixed price for having my garage doors checked and tuned-up and explained everything they would do. I specifically asked how they handled problems or broken items that might be found and she said they did not do anything extra unless the homeowner approved the work after having the issue and price to deal with it fully explained to them.
On the day of the appointment the technician was held up at another job and ended up being a couple hours later than originally projected which meant I had to reshuffle my schedule accordingly, but I did receive several phone calls during that time to update me on their progress. It was an inconvenience but at least they kept me informed.
Once at the house the technician was professional and seemed to do a thorough job. He informed me that one of the doors had apparently been hit during previous ownership and that, because there were cracks in the metal, I might want to consider purchasing a replacement. He also indicated that both doors were not sitting level when raised up. He worked on the issue for a while and then informed me that he had called a supervisor who was on his way to look at the doors. At no point was additional work or cost mentioned. After the supervisor arrived and they both worked on the door for a while they asked if I wanted them to continue trying to fix the issue or leave it as best they could get it at that point. I figured they had reached the limit of the normal maintenance so I told them to not do any more and I would consider the replacement option in the near future, for which they provided pricing.
During this time they also discovered that one of the openers had a bad gear and I was informed of the price to repair it right then and we also discussed the option of replacing the opener, for which they also provided pricing.
When they were done with the work I was informed that the total would be something close to double what I was originally quoted. I advised the technician of what their person said when I set up the appointment and he contacted his and quot;dispatcherand quot;. There was some back and forth discussion and eventually I ended up speaking with the dispatcher on the phone. She explained that the additional expense was for the extra work they did troubleshooting the levelness of the doors, which included the supervisors visit, and an additional hour over the normal time allotted for maintenance. I explained to here that I was never advised of the extra effort (I do not know what they consider normal maintenance), the fact that the technician had called for the supervisor until afterward, or the fact that the work was going over the allotted time (again how was I supposed to know what they consider reasonable time for normal maintenance). She agreed to cut the additional expense in half, which I appreciated, but I explained that it was still not what I was told initially, or agreed to when making the appointment. I had no issue compensating them for the extra time if I had been advised of it before hand.
In the end I think they charged me an additional $30-$40 but, because I no longer trust that what they say up front will be true when all is said and done, that small amount of money probably cost them around $3300 because I will be replacing at least one of the openers and potentially both doors in the near future and will not be using Apple Door. It is a shame too because I had previously had all good experiences with them in their Williamsburg, VA store but I guess the Chesterfield location is not as customer oriented.
Response from Apple Door Systems Inc

"The work that had been performed by two other door companies before calling us (including the installation of the current doors) went above just a preventive maintenance call. Poor workmanship before our visit caused this to go above a routine maintenance call. The supervisor on site advised the homeowner it was up to him on the extensive repairs and asked him if he wanted us to continue on repairing them or replace them. Our technicians were on site for 2.5 hours working to get the doors to operate functionaly."

I called Apple Door to repair my garage door. I provided them the days that I would be available. The receptionist called me the day prior to give me a two-hour window of when the repair technician would be at my house and then call the day of the appt to advise me he was in route. He was able to inspect and fix my garage door in about an hour and the repair was reasonable. I will definitely be contacting them again!! Great service!

When we've had garage doors repaired before, we've have had to wait for parts to come in, etc. Apple had what was needed on the truck and fixed the door in about half an hour. In addition to repairing the broken spring, Wayne reattached cables that had popped off and even serviced the other door to ensure it was safe (for no additional charge).
Also truly appreciated that this company didn't and quot;happen to findand quot; other problems (which may or may not exist) or try to up-sell maintenance contracts or services just to get more money. (Unfortunately, that seems to happen a lot.)
They were super professional from first contact to job completion. Highly recommend.

They were responsive when we called to get an estimate and set up an appointment. They called the day before to confirm the appointment and time. They arrived within the window of time that had been arranged. They quickly fixed the problem and identified another issue (frayed cable) that would eventually need repair. Their estimate was correct. They were very professional.

The technician arrived just when promised, removed and replaced the broken garage door spring in less than one hour. He presented me with the bill which may be paid by credit card or check and a 3-year labor and 5-year parts guarantee. I couldn't be more pleased with the service, the friendliness and professionalism of the service tech.

They are the only one I've used in a long time. I think the price was reasonable considering that they are the quietest door openers I have ever used, nobody else has seen anything that's quite like that. I think the quality is topnotch. They were quite prompt on the phone when I initially contacted them.

I found them on Angie's List. They gave us an estimate on the phone and the estimate was right on target. They came when they said they would, finished the job quickly and did an all-around good job. We would definitely recommend them and I will use them again in the future.

It went very well. The estimator recognized early some of the complications stemming from the unusual construction of our house. He sent an installer very well qualified for this job in particular, a joiner formally trained in England. The instailer found unforeseen complications, e.g., the bottom of the door frame to be removed extended several inches below the floor and stoop. He coped, but the time allocated proved too short. He was on the scene until nearly 7 pm, returning promptly the next morning, when plaster and paint had dried, to perform finishing touches. The new, metal door, is very well constructed, and the seal it offers should put a stop to drafts. It looks like it has been in place from the beginning, but represents a big improvement over the wood door now retired. If this was a test of product and installation, Apple Door Systems passed both with flying colors. The deal was pricey, but Apple's was not the highest estimate, and we are well satisfied that we got all that we could have wished for.

The technician did an outstanding job and spent hours fixing my doors - he worked really hard. It used to take all my strength to open the garage door, but I can now open it with just one hand! I will definitely get a second automatic garage door open installed.
