Tidewater Insulators

My house is like 80 years old. They did a very nice job but they didn't finish cleaning up very well. They did a good job. I would tell friends to be sure to have them clean up the room afterwards.

The Sales Rep called and said the workman would be arriving about 1 hour earlier than previously scheduled.  He did; job scoped; brought the insulation into the house and got to work.  He did an outstanding job reinstalling and arranging the radiant barrier sheets above the ceiling areas which had been moved out of the way when the water restoration workers (we had a pipe burst scenario over the two rooms in February 2015 during the extended below freezing weather) previously removed both ceilings.  He installed the new insulation, removed leftover materials, cleaned up and departed in a little over an hour after his arrival.

They arrived within the time they stated in their proposal.  I expected them to put up new insualtion  and get rid of the old insulation. What they did instead was to replace a small portion of damaged insualtion  and tacked up the old insulation that they salvaged. Some of the old insulation had what appeared to be mold growing on it that they tacked back up. I expected that insulation to be thrown away and replaced with new insulation. That didn't happen. I  was given pictures of the damaged insulation from a different company, that also gave me an estimate, so I already knew what the damage was to the insulation.  Very disappointed. I expected just a bit more.

It was good. They were responsive to my questions and I asked them what was it they were working on and what were the various steps while their work was in progress, which I guess most people don't ask to see. But they called me another time and showed me. They were on time and courteous. They were very good.

They were very neat. They were professional and nice and did a very good job overall. Their prices were fair. I would highly recommended them.

The work was estimated to be completed in one day, it took almost two months to finish. On one occasion the crew left debris outside the crawl space entrance. When told the work had been completed I entered the space with an inspector fro a QA check. There were a number of problems noted upon entry and the inspector suggested I give him time to resolve those issues. After a few weeks recede a call that the space was ready to be inspected again. It was not ready again several items were not properly and or professionally done. The personal assurance from the manager that a third inspection would not be necessary and a discount on the final price closed the matter.

Days after the order was submitted never heard from scheduling - had to call the salesperson. No-show/No-call one hour after the installation appointment - had to call production. No-show/No-call almost 4 hours after the installation appointment - had to call the salesperson. Almost 4.5 hours after the appointment the installer showed up. The salesperson was professional, kept his appointment and helped move things along. The installer was professional, polite, stayed until the job was done and cleaned up. Their solution to my problem, the salesperson and the installer weighs in the decision to use them again.
