TV Repair
I was experiencing trouble with my wall-mounted 52-inch flat screen TV (the picture would sometimes go to pink and green). I called Sameday TV and they had someone to my house that afternoon to look at my TV. I was told by the 2 people that showed up that they were not service technicians, merely pickup and delivery people, and that they would have to take the TV to their shop and that someone would call me with an assessment in a few days. I paid them $150.
After a few days a technician called and said that the TV could be repaired but that the parts necessary would cost more than a new TV. They offered to keep the TV and inquire with other repair services to obtain used parts. I agreed with that approach. After about 2 weeks I called them to see if they had any luck and they said they were still searching. After one month I called and they said still no luck so I asked that the TV be returned. They said they would return it on the following Wednesday, May 29th. Because I am not always at the house (it is a summer house), I asked them an approximate time and they said after 1 PM. I spent the day at the house and at 6 PM I called to ask where they were. I did not get an answer. The next morning I called and asked what happened. The person on the phone did not know that the TV had not been delivered and said he would call back. He called back and said the TV would be delivered that day, within 2 hours. I went back to the house and they arrived about a half an hour later. The 2 guys that showed up were VERY unprofessional; one was in flip flops and sucking on a lollipop (in fact, he kept the lollipop in his mouth the entire time). Wearing flip flops while carrying a large and heavy TV up 2 flights of stairs is not at all safe, but there were no incidents. They hung the TV back on the wall, plugged it in to ensure it was operable, and then gave me a receipt to sign that stated I accepted the TV. I asked them if they had hooked up the audio and video cables and they asked if I wanted them to do so. I said yes. They hooked up the cables and turned on the TV and there was no picture. I asked what they had done because the TV had a picture when they took it, just sometimes pink and green. They said they did not know. After looking I discovered that the cables that connect the TV to the cable box was not present. It seems that when they originally disconnected the TV the cables slipped through the hole in the wall (above a fireplace) and was not present. The young man firmly stated that cabling is not their responsibility. I told them that everything was just as they left it, even that the ladder I provided was still in place. He restated that the cabling was not their responsibility. I asked them to take the TV off of the wall and put it on a stand. They did so, reluctantly. They then left. I called the shop and got the owner and told him what had transpired. He said he would have to talk to his guys. I told him that I paid him $150 and got nothing; in fact, less than what I started with. He stated that for $150 I now knew what was wrong with my TV. I told him I was not happy with his service and asked him if he was happy with the service he provided. He said yes, based upon what I told him. That was the last conversation I had with Sameday TV Service.

TV Repair
I have had a very hard time working with this company. When they took my TV, they said they would have it fixed and brought back the next day. They dropped off the TV after it was "fixed" but the colors were still not right. I tried fixing the colors on the TV for a week, but could not. I tried calling them back several times to get this corrected. They took the TV back and said that they needed a part for the TV. Weeks later, they told me that the part cost too much and would not be worth the money. I then asked for a refund since the TV was not fixed. They gave me the run around for weeks, until they gave me a 40" loaner TV. I tried several times to get my money back for the service, but gave up after several weeks. I never received any money back and they still have my 50" TV.

Repairman came to house - took the TV to their shop on 5/28/09. They advertise in phone book as members of the BBB, illegally, as they are not members and in fact there are a number of complaints against them on the BBB website. Too bad we didn't check that first. We made 18 phone calls over a 2 month period. Said they would get someone to call us back. Never did. Sometimes put us on hold and never came back or else just hung up on us. When we were able to get someone to the phone here are some of their excuses: parts ordered, due today; parts should be in tomorrow; blew something "downstream" - have to order new parts; sent wrong parts, have to reorder; one of our key guys was taken to ER, don't think he'll make it; had to close early because our dog got hit; etc., etc. Toward the end we even considered reporting the TV stolen to the police. 7/25/08 - 2 months later - Returned TV - but only after we stopped payment on VISA charges and Reported to the Better Business Bureau who then contacted them. The TV is working as of 8/9/08. Don't know for how long.
