Worst customer service I have ever had with a contractor. One dispute and then they refused to do the work and only notification was a voice mail. Attempted to call GM to clear up any misunderstanding, but he refuse to return calls. After a day and a half, GM only returned call after I was requesting to speak to the owner. During that conversation, he admitted to me that he was ignoring my phone calls. If you believe this is appropriate customer service, than Dea’s Builder’s might be your contractor, if not, there are plenty other reputable contractors that will never treat a customer in this way.

When grading the provider, the original contact was terrible but a year later follow up was much better. This factors into my grading.
Description of Work: Three years ago, they gave us an entire new roof. We had a micro burst that ripped off tiles on our roof. My insurance company sent these guys over. They came and did an estimate and they didn't really warn me about the reality of everything that was going to happen. They sent three guys over that were subcontractors and they came late (2 days later than they were supposed to). They started ripping stuff down into my yard, there were nails in my yard and in my driveway (I have animals). They did part of the roof, they had to come back because it started raining. There were puckers and buckles in the shingle, it was completely crooked, very noticeably. I called the office and talked to a manager who came out and he said "It's really not that bad ma'm" and I said "Yes it is" so I called the office again, and they said they would send someone out to straighten out the line and fix the buckles, the same crew with the same manager. There were lots of excuses handed to me before they would send them back out. I preferred new people to come out instead of the original crew. They didn't come back out and then when they did show up, it was on the one day that was pouring rain. They hammered pieces of wood with huge nails in the roof, ripped the roof up and redid it in the pouring rain and basically left. There was debris and trash and nails all over the place which led to tire replacements and flat tires. As it rains, they wash into my driveway and into the street. A year later, we noticed there was a lot of rain in our storage attic so they had to repair that area of the roof which they came and did without any problem at all. Then they sent in some kind of anti fungal exterminators for treatment. It seems to be better and they seem to be nice about it. They said the fired that manager and the crew as well and they were trying to do better with customer service. It seemed to be more positive.

The contractor was prompt, professional and and through, however the painter subcontractor was not of the same caliber. They did not protect surfaces not being repaired or replaced. They did not use drop cloths and therefore paint spatter was found on the ceramic tile and grout. Spray from the texture material found on windows, hoses to the washer, and on the water heater.
Description of Work: Repaired water damage to sheet rock and shoe molding. Applied knock down texture and painted wall of laundry room.

The construction process is difficult with all the chaos after water damage. Deas handled it well. The supervisor and project manager are professional and involved in the process.

At first, they were our best friends. The were very helpful and always available. They went back and forth with the insurance company to make sure everything was covered. As the project went on, the project manager became less and less responsive. As we learned our options on replacements and upgrades, we were met with attitude and they even threatened to pull out of the job. During the clean out phase, one of the day laborers they hired, broke the mirror off one of our vehicles as he went behind an out building to pee. The foreman on the job (for the most part a one man show), was dealing with relationship issues, and often got into loud screaming phone conversations while working. Due to the amount of stuff that was torn out, a large dumpster was required. The truck that picked up the dumpster missed the driveway and ran across the ditch EVERY time he came in. This left futs through the yard and clogged up the drainage pipe. On what we were told was the last day, the foreman promised that the ditch was going to be repaired, and the flooring guys would be in to finish off the trim. He then begged my uncle to sign off saying they were finished so the company could move him to another project. The flooring guy came out and fixed half of what was needed, and never returned. As for the mirror and the ditch, after a couple of weeks and multiple ignored phone calls, we took care of them ourselves. I was told that shortly there after, the foreman was fired.
Description of Work: My family's home had a fire and required remodeling.

From the very start, the folks on this job were top notch pros. The managed our expectations with grace and finese. We knew what to expect and they worked hard with the insurance company to get exactlty what needed to be replaced or restored. They worked to get the appraisal finished which took the longst time and when we had difficulty making up our minds on things like kitchen flooring, they were very flexible and patient. Their work comes with a 3 year warranty but I dont think we will be using the warranty because the work was excelent.
Description of Work: We had a fire and since DEAS is on a list of preferred contractors for Allstate in this area, we selected them to handle everything. From electrical to plumbing, they orchestrated everything top to bottom. Thye also handled upgrades such as hardwood and tile floors, custom cabinets carpeting, wall removals.

They have been very honest and upfront with everything they've done so far. We are pleased with them. Every time they have found anything of value, they have always called me. It wasn't like they boxed up everything; the important things they left so we were able to have access to them. They have been working with the insurance and they didn't ask for anything upfront. They have done a good job. They bring in enough people to do the job in a reasonable amount of time. They don't just send two people out for a week at a time although it took them about two weeks with eight people working. They have treated my mom's stuff like it was theirs when they were packing it to clean it up because some of it had extensive smoke damage. We have been satisfied so far.
Description of Work: We've been working with Deas Builder & Remodelers because my mother's house caught on fire. They have cleaned out everything in my mother's house that had to be taken care of. They will be rebuilding. They did an emergency clean out because of all the water damage from the fire.
