The weather was bad and although the job was inside some days it was impossible for the guys to get to the job, so it ended up taking longer than anticipated. The crew kept a positive attitude and never rushed or cut corners.

Mark came to our home to look at the job and give us an estimate which he later e-mailed.
Jeff, the owner of the company, called after we accepted the company's offer, He thanked us for choosing his company and went over the necessary details that are covered before work begins. We told him how impressed we were with Mark-his professional appearance and his friendly, respectful demeanor.
The painters arrived on time , discussed the details of the job, and went to work. These gentlemen were courteous, friendly, and kept us informed about all the details of the job.
The contract stated that the job would be done in two days and it was.
Everything looks great! The painters cleaned up well at the end of the first day and the last day of the job.

I cannot recall the exact date; however, I recall that the team was very professional. The estimate that was done by Mr. Stephens was very professional, the follow-up discussion with Mr. Haas to make the arranagements and the coordination to get the work dones was excellent. The team that came (TEAM A) arrived on time, was very professional, cleaned up after they finisthed the job. I was very pleased with the service!

Requested estimate, and two out of three vendors responded. This vendor sent out a knowledgeable and professional individual who carefully assessed the property and identified areas that needed to be done right away, and what could wait to allow me to budget effectively while maintaining property value and preventing further more costly damage.

I was contacted by their salesperson and we made an appointment to view the areas to be painted. He took pictures of each room, especially the family room because of the vaulted ceiling, wall mounted TV and speakers, and skylights. We discussed our color choices and he made helpful suggestions for our home based on the color being previously used by their painters. We then were put on their painting schedule, based on my availability to be at home while the painters were here. The painters came and did their job. On the final day, we did a walk through of the areas painted and they did touch ups on the spots that were missed. (Our walls are textured so sometimes paint is not always absorbed into each detail.) They also had to come back because of some trouble with the paint (paint issue was the paint product itself, not the application) in the master bath, but they repainted it and all was good.

The two men were great to have in our home, professional, friendly and took pride in their work. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I've had other painting done and their work was much better. They also did a thorough cleanup each day when they finished. The job took longer than anticipated but not because they were wasting time. They were punctual, set up and got to work quickly each day.
I'm disappointed that I didn't get the door color I specified. Unfortunately I didn't catch it until they'd done a few doors and at that point, I had no time off left so I let it slide. They still look better than before! I also didn't get the requested finish in 2 of the rooms. We went over it before the paint was purchased, the contract was accurate so I'm not sure what happened. I contacted the company about the finish issue and was told it was terminology and that the finish used was the same as what I'd requested. According to Sherwin Williams, there is a difference and it's visible on in store samples, too.
I would still recommend them and would use them again, I'll just check the paint more carefully. I used another painter in the area with an equally high rating and CertaPro's work was much better.

From the power-washing to the final coat of paint, the crew was unsupervised. No scraping was done on the house. There was damage done to the siding from the washing as it was too powerful to withstand the water. The job was done poorly and with the wrong kind of equipment.
No one has taken any responsibility for this job. The owner and a representative from the paint company came to look at the house and determined that there was nothing they could do. They said it was reported to have been scraped and could do no more for me. I am very upset with this company and would never recommend them to anyone. They show by my house that their workmanship is very poor and they will not live up to their word of doing quality work. The work was definately not worth $13,000.00, The original quote was $19,000.00 and I got the reduced rate as a favor!!! I feel very cheated and ripped off by CertaPro Painting.

"The work was performed per the contract. The crew power washed and then scrapped all existing loose paint before prepping and painting. Prior to painting, there was existing paint that was not peeling and did not have any adhesion issues. The problem that now exists is the original paint (that was not failing at the time of painting) is now peeling. We visited the site with our paint manufacturer representative and explained that the original paint will continue to fail over time. The peeling paint at the time was going down to the bare substrate surface of the exterior siding."

Everything turned out excellent with this company. Overall, I was very pleased with the job. They were very professional and friendly. They were very easy to work with as well. After the job they cleaned up the entire mess and didn’t leave anything behind. They were very efficient and got the job done right. I would use this company again if needed.

(12/17/10) Mark came to my house within a day or two of my initial call to review the work site and give me any initial thoughts/concerns. He provided a price quote within 48 hours of his visit and made himself available to answer all additional questions. In fact, he also recommended another contractor that was able to scrape my popcorn ceilings and prepare them for painting. He was able to work closely with this contractor to schedule the work and finish the project in a very timely manner. Nothing in my house was damaged and did not see any extraneous paint spray. CertaPro was not the cheapest but they were not the most expensive amongst the estimates I received. I feel I got what I paid for...quality customer service and a quality paint job. Without hesitation I will use CertaPro again. (03/23/10) I thought they were very professional but I?ve been learning lately that they used cheap paint and I didn?t much care for their cut-ins. I talked to them about it and they came back but they didn?t do anything better. When I do my next set of painting, I may consider someone else.

"CertaPro worked for this member three times. Paint was purchased from Sherwin Williams on 2 jobs, a very reputable and quality brand. Sherwin Williams is used on 90% of CertaPro jobs. On the 3rd job, paint was supplied by homeowner. CertaPro takes pride in their performance on each job. He was not pleased with the brush "cut ins" to walls and ceilings. CertaPro followed up with additional visits to address his concerns. However, when a customer inspects any painting project with a 500w halogen lamp held inches from the wall, there will be noticeable "cut in" brush marks in production homes. This was explained to him numerous times. The suggestion of spraying was suggested as a solution, but was not an option chosen by him. This job looked wonderful and CertaPro stands behind their work."

Mark Stephens helped us decide on a six color scheme that coordinated every room with the drapes I wanted. The crew did a wonderful job on the prep work and painting. I'm really happy with the colors throughout the house. I always wanted a red dinning room and I'm finally enjoying it. He also gave us a 10% discount because the job was done in the winter time. I painted all the bedrooms myself so it came out cheaper that way.
