"Thank you for the kind words! We are happy to know that you are pleased with our work."
"I'm happy that you were satisfied with your windows. However, we disagree with your description of us being uncooperative in providing you information for your taxes. Immediately upon your request, we sent you a copy of your invoice showing the amount paid and the actual order that we placed with the manufacturer showing the U-factor (energy efficiency rating) and many other details of your windows. This documentation clearly shows that we ordered your windows to your exact specifications. There is no reason to think we gave you something inferior to what you ordered. We could not provide an accurate breakdown of the cost of your windows between labor and materials because that is not how our windows are priced. Our business model is different than most. Unlike other companies, we don't use subcontractors to install our windows, therefore there was no invoice showing labor cost. Our installers are employees. They get paid an hourly rate or salary based on their experience and skill. Their labor is part of our general overhead expenses. The amount of each installer's pay is personal private information that we don't disclose to anyone. We’ve purposely moved away from the subcontractor business model for many reasons. Mainly, we believe that by having in-house installers as employees, we will provide a better installation experience. Our installers have more incentive to take their time and do a quality job. I returned your call yesterday within 4 hours of you leaving a message. When we spoke, I told you that for internal cost accounting purposes, we assume a blended cost of labor and materials, but it’s not an accurate number for any specific customer. Nevertheless, I offered to provide you something in writing showing this internal number, but you refused. Many of our customers have asked for information regarding their window purchase for tax purposes. We provided all of them with the same documentation we provided you and received no complaints or requests for additional information about our labor costs."
