I contacted this company via phone to see if they could help me eliminate ants in my house. I was transferred to a guy who I could tell was eating something while on the phone with me, which I view as pretty unprofessional. He began the conversation by telling me what they DON'T do. "We DON'T treat one problem, we DON'T make one time service calls, we don't..." etc. etc. The only thing he said they offered was a 12 or 24 month pest control contract... Everything under the sun, basically, amounting to hundreds of dollars. Sorry, I don't have a problem with termites, mice, bees, etc., and no I do not need the optional grasshopper and cicada protection plan on sale for 89.99. I just need the ants to go away, without being hustled like I'm buying cell phone service or a cable TV package. I went in a different direction, obviously. This business has some stuff to learn about customer relations and truly meeting the needs of the consumer.

The tech was on time and did a great job. We've not had a problem since they came out.

Excellent job. Came to the house on time, was attentive and answered all of my questions. Was thorough and shared quickly what he found or believed about each area. Explained what he was doing and why. Gave me a good overview and discussed followups at conclusion. Was neat, and dealt with all of the issues (small crawlspace, messy areas, etc.) Overall, completely satisfied.

Since our house is on the market, we went ahead to get the service done. It worked out okay. The first guy who came out said he couldn't get underneath the house. The next guy who came was able to get there but couldn't make a decision. I had to call back in again and they sent the boss out. He said that they couldn't work even though there was no evidence. They sprayed and did what they were supposed to do but it was not connected with what was advertised.

I used an Angie's list deal for an initial treatment. Technical was Jordan (I think). He was on-time, explained what he was doing, very professional and did a good job. I called them back and signed up for a multi-year treatment program.

A couple of weeks before the tech came out I started seeing baby ants in the kitchen around the sink area. I did point this out to the tech. I have been waiting to see if this would take care of my problem. I still have the problem. Possibly more. I am not convinced that the spraying around the house - garage - and inside will take care of the other areas for the future. The office personnel was very professional. She sent me information on the programs they had to offer. The tech was very helpful with my questions. He was on time. The billing office sent me another invoice and I had already paid by PayPal using Angie's List. I do not think this service is beneficial to me.

I purchased a deal for 180 dollars for a pest treatment, when the technician was doing the work he mentioned that they have a per treatment service that is 64 dollars and didn't understand why I was charged 180 saying they have no service that is that much. When I called Angie list they wouldn't refund it since the work has been performed and Jennifer said they can't refund it either. Southern Pest Control offered to apply the $180 towards an annual contract. I accepted this. Unfortunately, Angies list disappointed me in that they advertised a $180 service which actually did not exist. They would not refund the difference. Fortunately, I was satisfied with the Southern Pest Control service, so I spent $175 more for the annual contract.

The services have been going fine. I did ask to be put on the installment plan and for some reason I continue to get notices that I did not pay on time. My credit card is on file and when I call they charge the card. For some reason it is not being charged automatically. They have been very courteous and responsive to this issue but as of today it does still persist. Overall I am very happy with the services provided (and most importantly no pests!)

Mike did a fine job and was very informative. He did not brush down any spider webs like the deal said he would.

All went well. Arrived on time, answered questions, was professional.

The service technician sprayed the interior and exterior of the house. He was very friendly, but a bit chatty.

The technician arrived pretty much on schedule and was able to answer my questions about the product and the process--though my questions were fairly numerous and detailed. This threw him a bit behind schedule I think, and I had a slight sense of his being rushed. Nevertheless, our ant problem disappeared within 24 hours and there has been no new signs of ants since. I thought they were also supposed to sweep eaves for spider webs in this service as well. That did not happen, but that was not part of what we actually needed anyway, so I don't consider that to be a negative of the experience with the company. There were a few communication problems with the office at Southern over the receipt or transaction number (?) obtained through Angie's List, but ultimately we got the service we wanted at the price we expected to pay.

Called to make an appointment and the guy was out to my home the next day. Sprayed the exterior of my home and part of the interior. They were very professional and performed the service well. Communication was excellent and they were prompt. I would use again.

Very professional company. I hope this treatment did the trick but if it did not, I would use them again for follow up. I think they offer a monthly package, and we are considering that if this does not do the trick. Thanks.

A very nice young came, on time as scheduled, listened to my concerns then went through the house and came back with an offer for a service contract. I refused the contract so he proceeded to "spray" according to the agreement. My problem is that the ants are worst now than they were before it was sprayed. I never had the number of ants as I do now. I called the company and the person on the phone suggested I wait up to 10 days and then I would see a difference. It I ten days and they are steadily getting worst. I wish I knew what they gave them, I'm sure it must have been something to make them produce. I have anther rental property but I will not use Southern again nor recommend this company to anyone else.

Professional, punctual, good attitude. Explained what he would do and that it would be safe to go in the house after an hour when it dried. Inquired as to what bugs I was seeing. Applied three different products in different places. The odor was not very noticeable and we could go inside soon after. It was a hot day, and I appreciate the fact that he was willing to spray around the sheds as well as the house. I have not seen any bugs in the house since then, and my pet seems unaffected by the treatments.

Got a call to schedule promptly after purchasing a Deal of the Day. Experience went very smoothly. The only nit was that I had to email the copy of the voucher to the Marketing Dept (of Southern Pest Control). While not a big deal, I thought it was a bit strange to have to do that manually for their tracking purposes.

Xavier was on time to perform the service and was very professional and knowledgeable. He sprayed my house inside and out for pests and sprayed my outside building for Carpenter Bees. He went right to work and was done in a very short time. I checked my building the next day and no carpenter bees were to be found except the dead ones on the ground. Thank you for a job well done!

Very professional. Fewer spiders this year

We have suffered many summers with ants in our kitchen. I have tried to treat them by spraying inside and out to no avail. One call to Southern did the trick. No ants!! Life is good. Thanks Southern.

It went well, they were on time and sprayed the yard quickly. We did it right before a party and could tell a difference.
