Stopped to get gas before going out of state and the vehicle, a Dodge Grand Caravan would not start up. Someone gave me a jump and I saw the battery had coorsion.
I went to the nearest Advanced Auto for a system check, an alternator check and battery check. They were great. We found the battery was in decent shape but it looked like a cell was bad. So we replaced it. It was just over the free placement warranty by a month but I did get a pro-rated discount on a new battery.
They installed the battery and even cleaned the cables and everything. Couldn't ask for more.
As a precaution, I purchased one of those battery jumpers in case we had a problem on the road. They went through how to use it and even checked to make sure it had a charge since I was going to be on the road right away.
All in all, great experience. All the associates were friendly and helpful. The diagnostics they do (for free) and installation they do (for free) was just what I needed. Within an hours we ere back on the road and comfortable that we wouldn't have any problems.
