I really appreciated that he was so generoous with his time an
expertise, and then he refused my offer to pay anything for those
services.

We called Kevin with Southern Spa Services because our hot tub was no longer heating properly. After attempting every fix the manual suggested to no avail, we knew we needed help. Kevin was extremely responsive from the very first phone call even returning a call at approximately 9:00 at night. He showed up exactly when he said he would and called me at work on the spot to let me know the issue. By the time I got home that day, the spa was fixed and we were able to enjoy it that evening. 
I would highly recommend Southern Spa Services for their expertise as well as their customer service.

Service person was very professional and knowledgeable. Service was completed in the same trip. Would definitely recommend.

Called the company number I saw in Angie's list. Left a message summarizing the problem, I was contacted quickly. We set a date and time. The repairman arrived at the appointed time, assessed the problem and checked to see if he had the parts with him for the repair. He installed the parts and the hot tub runs fine once again. He was in and out in less than an hour.

We contacted Kevin (owner) at Southern Spa Service based on previous Angie's List reports. Our hot tub (that came with the house when we bought it) was not heating properly. Kevin, as well as others we contacted, mentioned that this could be due to many different factors, from simple (replacing filters) to ultimately needing a new heating element. Kevin was very prompt, professional and very detailed. He did not jump to "it needs a new $500.00 heating element" right away, instead, troubleshooting all possible reasons and potentially mitigating the issue with a much less expensive fix. Kevin did have to make several visits to the house in his troubleshooting efforts and the hot tub ultimately did need a brand new heating element (approx. $500.00), but we certainly have utmost appreciation for his attempt to save us dollars instead of declaring a "major fix" in the interest of "time". We will certainly be returning customers to Kevin for any maintenance and repairs for our hot tub. BTW, the hot tub works beautifully now and heats like a champ!

Contacted this company because company we had previously used had gone out of business.  Explained this when first contact was made.  After describing the situation in detail he said he could come out the next morning.  As already stated, he was exactly on time for the appointment.

During course of service call, he took two brief phone calls.  He apologized each time and explained that he had found he often lost new customers if their calls rolled to voice-mail.  In each case he promised a call-back when he completed the present service call. 

Was completely pleased with the whole experience.  Once again I was glad I had gone to Angie's List.

The owner of Southern Spa Services showed up a few minutes early to our Saturday appointment. He checked our hot tub out thoroughly which took around 45 minutes. It turned out that the circuit board and controller were fried. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. He definitely lived up to the positive comments from other Angie's List members. We came away with 4 options: -Let the hot tub sit there in the off position with no maintenance -Replace the circuit board and controller and do some general maintenance to get it up and running again-cost around $1,000 -Remove the hot tub permanently -Get a new hot tub My husband and I are now in the process of deciding among the options. If we decide to repair our current hot tub or get a new one, we will definitely contact Southern Spa Services.

Kevin Spicer (owner) has always responded promptly to our phone calls requesting service. He is knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Also, he is sensitive to minimizing cost for the customer and presents various options with related costs when possible.

Kevin was able to do repair while I was away and leave bill. Good communication and experience.

Kevin repaired a leak in my hot tub. He talked with me by phone about potential problems and how he would solve them. He came when he said he would and left an invoice for me. This is the second time I used this vendor and was as satisfied as the first. He trusted me to send him payment rather than having to pay in advance or be there at the time of the repair.

Kevin responded to an emergency call to repair a leaking hot tub. He came the same day as promised. He found the leak quickly and repaired it. He patiently answered many questions I had about the hot tub. He took his time answering the many questions I had. I was pleased with the fee Kevin charged. It was an emergency call, yet the cost was most reasonable. I will definitely use Kevin again.
