I was having a great deal of trouble going up and down stairs in my house. I decided to get a stair lift but knew very little about them and how they work. I shopped several companies that sold stair lifts before I found Rick. The sales people at the other companies were knowledgeable about the models they were selling but weren't able to help me understand the installation and use of the stair lift. Sales, installation, repair, etc were handled by separate people with the companies I visited. Rick knows everything there is to know about stair lifts because he has experience with all parts of the business. He helped me find the lift that was right for me, suggested how it would be best installed to suit the way I would use it and answered every single question my daughter and I had. He is a man of his word and my stair lift was installed quickly and well by Brian....who came back to my house within the same day without charging me to show me that the reason the stair lift wasn't doing what I wanted it to do was that I pushed a wrong button. They even installed the track so I could keep my pet door at the top of the steps to keep my puppy from falling downstairs. Honorable, patient, honest, friendly company and owner. I wish I could give them ten stars.

Beware!! Grace in Motion sold my dad a new scooter and then charged him $410 less than a year later to replace the batteries. When he called for warranty service they offered to send a technician to his home to see if it was covered by warranty. by the time the technician left, my dad ended up paying more than $410 dollars for service and new batteries. He called the store to try to get some resolution as the technician had said the substandard batteries was a known issue. Grace in Motion apologized for not having told him about the battery situation but did not offer to reduce the bill because the warranty for batteries was only 6 months (how convenient). Shameful.

My entire experience with Grace in Motion's president, Rick Peterson, has been very positive and supportive of figuring out my special needs in an electric scooter and finding the best one to meet them.  He spent a lot of time going over the options and talking with the manufacturer to determine what could be done to provide the right scooter for me.
When my scooter arrived he delivered it to my home, which is an hour from his shop.  After a little over a week of using the scooter, it appeared that there were some problems in insufficient power/torque to handle my specific situations, which were all within the claimed specs for the scooter  He came out, again, to my house to see what was happening, agreed that something wasn't right, called the manufacturer and they agreed to send a new scooter to exchange with the one I had.
The new scooter came to his shop the next day and again he drove all the way out to deliver it and take back the original scooter.  The new scooter does have better torque/power and I am very happy with it.  And I am so impressed with how responsive Rick was to this situation.
I truly appreciate all the time and effort Rick Peterson gave to help me get the right scooter for my special needs.  He is truly a caring, patient, dedicated person who wants to help people get the right product for their needs.
I wholeheartedly recommend Grace in Motion as the place to go to find one's mobility aids.  You are treated with respect, kindness and they strive to meet your needs.

They are excellent. They are very professional. They didn't try to sell me a stair chair, they fixed the one I have right now and they are here the day you call or the morning after. Their price is less. I would always use them. I would recommend them.

The installer showed up with all the equipment on time, made a perfect installation, showed my wife how to operate the device and the safety items that are built in (power cut-off for jammed foot, etc.).  Accepted credit cards and provided a Angie's List discount.  No pressure sale, on-time, took maybe half day to install, good demonstration, cleaned up area, and I provided credit card after installation for the entire amount.  Highly recommended company.  No problems, no concerns, only praise.

l called Grace in Motion.  I set my mind to the fact that, though I might look into a new (or used) lift, I wasn't going to be coerced by ANYONE!  Grace in Motion sent out a man within 2 days.  He didn't comment on the age of the lift.  He didn't comment on the fact that it was no longer manufactured.  He brought in his tool box, worked maybe 30 to 45 minutes on the mechanism, and, lo and behold--the lift works!  No only does it work, but it is quieter and smoother running than I ever remember it being!
The cost was minimal (he'd found a loose screw).
Grace in Motion was a great find!
Thanks, Angie's List.  (And thanks, Grace in Motion).

I loved the scooter ($300 per month) after having only wheelchairs and crutches previously and it allowed me to visit the cinema, restaurants and carry things within my house easily. I would recommend Grace in Morion for anyone with mobility issues or impeding surgery. They have a range of services from wheelchairs to powered wheelchairs and scooter/ramps etc. I will definitely be back for my next ankle surgery!

The scepter is easy to take apart and put in the trunk of a car, and easy to put together again. The owner showed us how to do it, and how to operate it. My wife was very happy, as she was able to accompany her daughter and grandchildren on a visit to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. No problem getting in and out of the ferries, onto the park, and manoevering in the museum.   We highly recommend this company.
