The serviceman Bryan showed up on time, was very personable and very professional. He took the time to explain what he was doing, made all required adjustments to improve the efficiency of the furnace, including adjusting and cleaning of a fan that sometimes caused a whistling sound. Even though Bryan appeared young to me (I'm retired), he is very knowledgeable about furnaces and extremely dedicated, because he took the time to ensure that everything was working correctly before he finished. Because of Bryan's work, I signed a new service contract, which includes a spring checkup on my air conditioning unit and discounts on any additional work that needs to be done. I will definitely ask for Bryan personally in the future.
"Thank you for your comments. We appreciate our customers telling their stories here on Angie's List. Evan was the technician that serviced your system. He is one of our top guys, and I will make sure he is aware of your comments. You may want to consider a maintenance agreement to help ensure your continued comfort! Finally, please Like us on Facebook, if you do that sort of thing. Thanks again."
"This was a new customer, referred by Angie's List, so we had not been there before. The issue was one of safety. The air handler is in the attic about 25 feet from the pull-down stairs. There are no walkboards or flooring, just a few pieces of corrugated tin sheets here and there. The house has a low pitch roof, and there is a large flexiduct run as well as refrigerant lines barring the way to the air handler. Anyone working on that unit would be taking a chance of slipping and going through the ceiling. We have experienced this in the past, and have had technicians get hurt, not to mention that the customer then expects the company to pay for any damage. Rather than take the risk, we prefer to not accept the job. In our opinion, anytime there is equipment that needs to be maintained that is located in a crawl space or attic, reasonable access needs to be provided by the homeowner."
