Review of work done by Summit Roofing Company, Manassas, Virginia On two different occasions in August 2020, I called Summit Roofing Company to repair flashing issues on two parts of my roof. Their were two separate teams of two workers who fixed both problems cause by an aging roof; both were leaks. In each case, the responsiveness was excellent for the repairs needed. They were very respectful of the health issues going on with Covid 19 and we were able to identify exactly where the roof issues were without putting me at any health risk. They were able to take pictures before and after their work so I could see the finished product on the roof. I researched local costs and they were certainly very competitive and reasonable. They cleaned up after the job which made my wife and I very happy. Being a long time Manassas resident, I have routinely heard of only good references about this company. A consumer saying I have heard for years, namely, "the bitterness of poor quality and service remains long after the sweetness of low-price" has been advice I take strongly before I make a decision on a company. In the case of Summit Roofing, they have high quality and workmanship standards, great service from their home office and a price that is extremely good. I got all three positive elements working with Summit! I highly recommend them!

Summit was prompt, responsive, and provided quality work, which is amazing considering that even during the proposal process when we reached out to 7 other companies, some were non responsive or stated they would send us a quote but never did. Throughout the proposal process, Summit was our favorite to work with. Some of the companies required both myself and my husband to get a quote and some didn't even bother sending us a quote. Summit was able to stop by without speaking to us and worked with us over the phone regarding any questions we had. We compared everyone's proposal and theirs did not provide anything different than what other roofing companies were proposing. Their initial quote was the lowest price provided. We requested a final round of quotes from all bidders for their lowest priced offer, and although Summit was not the lowest after that final round, we decided to go with them because we felt they were able to get the job done in the time frame they promised us. They did not take any money down, they accept credit cards, and they were able to accomplish the job quickly and cleanly. I barely noticed they were there and our roof looks amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better contracting experience.

I was very pleased with the price and quality of service from Summit. They provided me with three initial estimates, based on the type of roofing material that could be used, and I selected the least expensive option. The crew removed the wooden railing, tore up the old roof and replaced a number of rotten boards/areas of the roof, then meticulously replaced the roof properly (the previous roof had been poorly installed) with EPDM roofing material. Then they reinstalled the railings and installed new cladding around the base of each railing post (all that was left to do was some painting). It was very professional.

Another GREAT experience with SUMMIT ROOFING. I interviewed three of their competitors to replace my roof. Without sharing any of the pricing data across the four Angie's list "A" rated vendors, SUMMIT ROOFING came in at the lowest price, with the best materials, and longest warranty. Other Companies wanted to see and match my lowest bid, but why should I do their homework for them -- this is a very competitive business. Several of my neighbors chose local unrated vendors with lower total prices, but their installations included inferior underlayment, inferior ridge vents, and are now showing signs of wear. They completed all the work within their initial estimate (including their subcontractors) -- They are an honest small company. Their original estimate was very clear and concise, to include all the materials, options for upgrades, and prices. Their fascia board subcontractor was slow and had to come out twice to complete all the work, but SUMMIT was on top of them to get it done right. SUMMIT has a great team of professionals.

I received excellent service from Summit from the initial contact requesting an estimate to the replacement of my roof, which was done today. Along with a well-written estimate, they provided me with brochures and other information to guide me with the selection of the shingles. They informed me by email as to the timing of delivery of the material (which was Monday, April 30) and the installation. The crew arrived around 8:30 AM and had completed the installation by 2:30 PM and took great care to cover my shrubs and cleaned the front yard and backyard of all debris. The roof looks awesome!

The two person team arrived right on time and worked hard for half a day to replace the metal roof. It looks great. After excepting the estimate I had to wait less then a week for the work to be completed. The man who gave me the estimate also arrived within the hour window. Very happy with the work. They were more reasonably priced then the other estimates we received.

The sales and install coordinator was professional and friendly; he had lot of patience on explaining and answering to my questions. They were flexible on scheduling the job depending on the weather. The job was well done to our satisfaction. The contract price is reasonable too!

The crew was very professional and hard working. They identified any hidden problems immediately so there were no surprises. The old roof came off very quickly and the cleaned the area as they went. The new roof went on just as swift as these guys were a well oiled machine. once complete they made absolutely certain that there was NO debris in the surrounding area and cleaned everything. It was fun to watch them work, super proficient.

Went very well was given a schedule for material delivery and installation date all went as per plan. Installers were very polite and considerate. Very professional. Cleanup of demolition materials was beyond expectations. Scope of work schedule was specific and spelled out easy to understand what work was to be done.

Summit Roofing did an amazing job! Listed below are the positive and negatives of my experience. Positives -Excellent selection and variety of product -Overall process was easy. You get to choose the style of shingle, underlying material, and ridge vent Clean up (Very Important) was very excellent. So far, no nails in tires or in dog’s paws. Prices are competitive Negatives No personal interaction. Everything was done via email. No one actually came out to survey the job. All images were taken from Google Earth. Lack of communication on when the job was to take place. (see below) Overall, very satisfied with Summit Roofing. Like I said in my negatives, no one came to the house to ask questions or survey the job. I received an email with a date that the material was going to be delivered and an approximate time frame the workers were going to complete the job. The only way I knew my roof was getting replace was the night before a worker knocked on the door to ask permission to park his waste trailer in my driveway. But, the work crew showed up promptly at 7 AM and were completely finished by 1 PM. Very efficient and very clean. So, I would recommend Summit Roofing for your roofing needs.

Very well. Everything was coordinated in advance. We knew exactly when materials would be delivered and when the replacement would be done. We own a single family home. The roof had a large team and was completed less than 9 hrs. They were very courteous when I had to leave the house. They did a great job cleaning up after.

We received a referral from friends who had Summit Roofing replace their roof a few years ago. Refreshingly, there was no sales pitch, just honest information and no pressure to use their services. Joe came to the house several times to show us samples we requested and addressed all questions professionally, courteously, and honestly. The contract stated everything in detail and the price was very fair and reasonable, much less than some other "high pressure" contractors. The work was done by crews who work exclusively for Summit. Installation went smoothly and the crews cleaned up quickly and completely. Joe kept us well-informed of schedule adjustments due to weather and what to expect with installation and follow-up. We are very happy with Summit Roofing in all respects and highly recommend their services. They are truly professional and exceptionally customer-oriented.

Summit sent a representative to meet with my insurance adjustor, his presence had a positive affect on the outcome with the insurance company. Crew arrived on time, moved outdoor furniture, covered plants, and cleaned up completely. Very pleased with the work.
