We were using Angie's List recommendations for that. We were quite happy with them. They came out and installed a new door right away within a couple of days of when we were looking. Their price was better than another place that we looked at that was highly rated in Angie's List. The price they quoted when we were looking was exactly what it ended up being. We had spoken to them; we had gone for an initial look when we were looking at different places. Then we went back to them. It was either Thursday or Friday last week. He said that they have the door that we want in stock and that they will be out Tuesday morning. They were here by 8:20 in the morning, and they put it in. They explained how to use the locks and all that stuff. They did everything that they should do and they did it well. They were prompt.

We needed a new garage door, nothing too fancy. We met Ricky at a home show in
Virginia and he was willing to drive all the way out to Silver Spring for an
estimate. We only looked at 2 contractors, but we chose PWGD because he was a
much better price. I don’t think he had too many manufacturers that he worked
with, but we found enough options for styles, windows, designs, thicknesses,
and we sprung an extra $50 for a belt motor instead of a chain motor ($375),
and I’ve never heard a door so quiet. Including keypad and remotes for our 9x7
door with fancy bevelite windows, it was about $1400 installed. My only complaints are very minor 1) Ricky’s
emails lack a signature block and he forgets to sign his name, so I got a
little confused whom I was dealing with, and 2) It took about a month between
ordering and installation, not 20 days as estimated.

Immediate response to my call and they made time to come to my house that day to give me an estimate and helped to make sure the garage was closed while waiting for the parts and labor to be worked on the following day. Great customer service! I would highly recommend them.

Everything went well. They fit us into their schedule although they had a full schedule already. It was not quite an emergency because we have another vehicle but my car was stuck in the garage because the door wouldn't open. The technician showed up during the appointment window. He let us know the how long a spring on a garage door should last based on usage. Apparently, we use our door more than average.

They scheduled promptly to come out in two days, then changed schedule to following day upon homeowners request. They quoted visit price as $125 to include simple adjustment w/ delta upcharge, depending on what was wrong.

Repairman showed up promptly at start of time window, diagnosed problem of a bad IR sensor after 30 minutes of investigation. He had sensors on truck, and replaced both sensors, then oiled both doors. He patiently answer homeowners questions regarding this problem and adjustments, and completed work within an hour.

Parts cost was determined to be an additional $20, bringing total to $145.

Ricky was very helpful in determining what I needed and also went out of his way to get the part ASAP. They were easy to work with and gave a very good price.

Ricky was exceptionally responsive. We had contracted with another company to replace our garage door and the previous contractor kept our deposit and did not show up to do the job. Ricky came out the day after we called him, measured and gave us a very fair price. He did not require a deposit up front. The door was installed professionally. The door itself is good quality. The installation was done quickly. They replaced all of the old track, door opener and included an exterior keypad. We will use Prince William Garage Door in the future and will recommend their work to others.

I called on Wednesday and set up a time on Friday. They came as promised. He did the service. He left the area clean.

My wife and I were very pleased with the service, attention, and quality of work provided by PWGD. The arm connecting my garage door opener to my garage door came off, and my wife and I were debating whether to have it fixed or replace the opener. I called PWGD, explained my problem, and what my wife and I were debating. The woman answering the phone was pleasant, understanding, and helpful. She said they normally charge a small fee for someone to come out and give an estimate for a repair. But, the owner could come to my house for free to give me an estimate on replacing the opener and garage, and also give me an estimate on repairing at the same time. I agreed, since I was not sure if it would be more cost effective to repair or replace. The owner came to my house the next day. He was very nice and knowledgable about garage doors and openers. He told me what I currently have, showed me what he could install, and how much. But, ultimately, he said my garage door and opener were in fairly good condition and that I did not need to replace them right now. He recommended repairing it and getting routine maintenence done (adjusting the track, lubrication). He pointed out how my garage door was not opening straight and the track needed to by adjusted. That was probably why the arm came off. I thanked him, and made an appointment for the work to be done. They came out, did the maintenence, fixed the arm, and installed a piece of metal on my door to shore up a weak spot. Not only was the problem fixed, but my door runs smoother and quieter than before! My wife and I were shocked; we got much more than we expected. My door is fixed, it runs better and quieter, and we are very pleased with the overall experience with PWGD. Thank you.

Before joining Angie's List I polled all my friends on Facebook and PW Garage Door was recommended by two people so I decided to give them a shot. The provided a quote over the phone, was out in 24 hours and the door was fixed for the exact price of the quote! Their customer service was great and all employees that we dealt with were very professional. They arrived just when they said they would (actually a few minutes early) and had the door operating within 1/2 hour! We would definitely use them again.

The garage door was an old wooden door that had been broken for a while. I met the owner at the Home Show in Chantilly. He gave ma an idea of the price which was so much lower than anything I had received. When I called and had him come and give me an estimate I quickly ordered the door from his company. My old door frame wasn't level so he explained that getting a larger rubber bottom would allow the door to be level and still not gap. He was so right.it looks great and the gentleman who came and installed it was great. He had the door up and running in no time and was very friendly.

Everything went great! They were here on time for both the estimate and ultimately the installation. The installer was professional and he maintained a clean work space and we love our new door! We opted for an upgraded one ( for the insulation) and are so happy we did it. Prior to the new door installation, the garage was freezing cold in winter even with the door closed. We have already noticed how much warmer it is now and believe it will be more comfortable in the summer as well. I highly recommend this business!

I am extremely pleased with the service provided to my rental home in Four Seasons, Dumfries, VA. The repairman provided necessary service - service that had not been performed for at least two years. He was prompt and courteous to my renters. The cost for the work was also very reasonable. I will use them again and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs garage door service.

After meeting staff from Prince William Garage Door at a home show, we called to schedule an appointment. The estimator was knowledgeable and even told my husband how to fix one of our current openers so we only had to order one new one. Since their estimate was fair and reasonable, we did not bother getting other estimates. It took a few weeks for us to receive the dark brown color we wanted but we didn't mind the wait. The installer was very efficient and definitely knew what he was doing.

It went well. They were reasonably priced and have always done good work for me. I would use them again.

The installer was totally professional and knowledgeable about the task. Although he ran into unforseen problems and had to go to Home Depot, he continued working till approximately 8:00 pm (arrived around 3:00). We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship and the friendly, professional attitude of the installer.
